Hi Mango
Robbie Williams at number 1 here really? That was actually the shock of the week. You should make this quizz: WHICH ROBBIE WILLIAMS SONG ARE YOU? My result: 'Love My Life perfectly matches your personality' September Song is huge here. Well, I don't mind it, it should have been UK top 40. I wonder if Lady Gaga will be top 40 this week with Million Reasons. X Factor performances still make huge money for everyone. Well, Emeli Flopé is the only one exception. Human is my fave new entry. Thanks to X Factor contestant Emily, Rag'N'Bone Man is now a star. Nice chart This post has been edited by Jason: 5th December 2016, 08:23 PM |

Mr Williams deserves the jackpot, it's such a lovely song I actually can't see Million Reasons being a big official hit sadly. Thanks, I'll check out your chart shortly Hi Mango Robbie Williams at number 1 here really? That was actually the shock of the week. You should make this quizz: WHICH ROBBIE WILLIAMS SONG ARE YOU? Thanks for that quiz, it was completely pointless and random, butu I got Angels Yes September Song may be a contender to knock Robbie off #1 next week I would imagine Gaga will be Top 40 this week but probably won't get much higher than that. Human is OK, and Rag'N'Bone Man will probably be a one hit wonder Thanks |

Hiya Mango
Awesome to see 'Love My Life' at #1 here! Was only earlier this evening that I remembered to check it out again, having been pleasantly surprised by his XF performance several weeks ago. Not the kind of thing I'd usually go for but something about the simplicity/directness of the lyrics really connects, and I also find it admirable that Robbie'd come back with a track this overtly...sappy haha. That's an interesting stat re: Adele's '25' singles in your chart . She has a #1, a #2, and a #7 on mine, with 'Send My Love...' being the non-top 10. Hard to say if she's had a stronger singles run this era than last, but I definitely think she/her team has a talent for making the right choices at the right times. Can't think of anything else on either album that's been overlooked in terms of commercial potential. Heard 'Change My Love' on the radio the other day when I was rushing around before leaving to catch a flight, so was trying to remember the lyrics so I could search later as I couldn't Shazam/hang around...but I ended up forgetting everything :'). Did think it could be Craig David but wasn't sure if it was current or an old track. Anyway, you've solved it for me so thanks! Listening now, I think it's instantly my fave from his rebirth - just lovely, warm, melodic, 90s throwback goodness. Want to like 'Breathing Underwater' as I love 'Hurts' (and Emeli herself seems lovely) but I'm just not feeling it. I guess the big, gospel sound makes it stand out so I can see why it was pushed, but it's too repetitive and comes off a bit try-hard to me. 'Garden' is my initial fave of the rest on the album. Good chart elsewhere, especially with the climbs for The 1975, 'I Feel It Coming' (<33333), and 'Saint Claude', and the debuts for Lady Gaga, 'Human', and 'Black Beatles'. |

Yes the Robbie track is great, I agree with your comments about the simplicity and directness of the lyrics, and it's nice to hear him being a bit soppy sometimes rather than just cheeky Again, agreed about Adele, they've got the singles spot on so far - I was kinda hoping for Million Years Ago or River Lea as they're my faves but they don't sound like obvious singles really. Ha, I'm glad to be of service as your personal shazam 'Change My Love' is a brilliant song, definite throwback to the 90s or at least early 2000s. I'm actually baffled that even after an X Factor performance it only managed to chart at #154 or something. Really odd! I'm really getting into 'Breathing Underwater', the chorus is just stunning maybe it will grow on you after a few more listens? I didn't really like 'Garden' I'm afraid, and the album as a whole I found a bit underwhelming Thanks |
