As some of you may have heard there was a post-match invasion at the end of the Scottish Cup final after Hibernian ended their 112-year wait to win the Scottish Cup in injury time against Rangers.
What is your view on this? |

A great game that will sadly be remembered for those scenes.

More video footage can be find on here:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/feedt...inal-shame.html Disgusting what happened there. This shouldn't happen in football. Rangers captain Lee Wallace had to be rescued by his team-mates and stewards after being knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked by thugs/ |

Life bans & prison sentences. The guy who "assaulted" Chris Kirkland got that punishment so I see no reason why the culprits here won't.

Definitely for sure life bans & prison sentences for everyone who took part in the violence at the end of the match.
Questions will surely have to be answered by the stewards & police into allowing an scenario like this happening in Scotland's national stadium. When Celtic lost to Rangers in the semis, we didn't see this. |

There's not much you can do when you're outnumbered 500 to 1. Hampden is a massive stadium, and there's no way that the police and stewards could have contained that rampage. They would have just suffered more injuries. Sad fact is when the crowd has decided to be utter thugs, there ain't much they can do to stop 30,000 people descending at them. The majority of the stadium is single teir, that's a lot of people for a very small number of people to control.
Rangers have hit the nuclear button and have attacked literally everyone from Hibs to the SFA to the First Minister (for congratulating Hibs on their win and not saying anything about the violence after going as far to mention in their statement that she's the elected member for Govan - where Ibrox happens to be right next door to) The Scottish Government has passed a lot of anti-sectarian football laws the past few years so I imagine there will be a clause or two in there that should see identified perpetrators banned from every stadium in Scotland. |
