First premiered on the Olly Murs tour, Rak-Su's new single is out next Friday. I can confirm having seen them at the O2 show of the tour that it is a bit of a summer bop, yes.
They filmed the video this week also. It does look a bit 'Playboy mansion in Acton', I grant you: This post has been edited by ThePensmith: 5th July 2019, 07:55 AM |

I f***ing LOVE this group but they need Spotify support or nothing is ever going to happen for them. Basically this. They could be so much bigger than they currently are but Spotify is so anti getting behind any boyband or girl group unless it's Little Mix or that frightening lot that were on Graham Norton who all look the same. |

I'm thinking/hoping the reason for lack of Spotify support with I Want You To Freak/Yours Or Mine was because of the move from Syco to RCA. They moved the same time as Little Mix and Think About Us barely got any support either during the transition. Hopefully now Bounce Back got tons of support the same will be for Rak Su's new single. |

For some reason this doesn't quite bop in the same way it did on tour. On New Music Friday but is low down so... That said, they've just sold out a three date tour in October. The fanbase is quite clearly there for them to have done that - certainly since the Olly tour their fanbase has grown - but they're just not getting the exposure or the opportunities traditionally afforded to boybands in the past. |

They aren't exactly big venues though, O2 Academy Islington's capacity is 800.

I absolutely love this. My favourite release of the week.

Just as I thought...the video is terrible!
I hate to be the one to say this given I trumpeted quite loudly for them but if they get to release another single after this it'll be nothing short of a miracle. |

They're playing Glasgow in October - anyone wanna go with me? I hate going to gigs alone.

Not surprising news but it's been announced tonight that they've been dropped by RCA.
There's also talk of Myles doing the next series of I'm A Celeb. Not really a good time for them. I think the switch of record labels after the whole Little Mix firing SyCo debacle that they were caught in the crossfire of did them no favours in the long run. |
