BuzzJack Music Forum _ Dance _ Deorro & Chris Brown - "Five More Hours"

Posted by: Therm• 2nd August 2014, 06:20 PM

The original mix was a big club smash and made a splash in a few European countries' charts including top 10 in France. Now there are new vocals which means they're probably preparing for a UK release dance.gif Sounding really good. Love the production in this, it's really unique, and the vocals compliment it nicely.

Not bad on first listen, doesn't grab me straight away but could be a grower

The original version is much superior, the vocals seem emotionless (the same issues plague Dr. Meaker's new song).

Pretty sure you've all heard Deorro's "Five Hours", and it''s being re-worked AGAIN with Chris Brown at the vocals *cue Buzzjack groaning and bitching*. It's called "Five More Hours". Audio in the link, but it's set for a March 3 release (at least in the US).

Chris Brown doesn't sound bad on this track actually. Hope it's a smash!

Those lyrics :/

Instrumentals with strong beats like this are always going to fall down on quality with vocal reworks. Particuarly as they normally turn it into uninspired trash for the purpose of getting clubbers to sing along to. To his credit Chris doesn't sound too annoying here but I don't feel it melds well with the backing.

"Five More Hours" is finally up on the Ultra Music YouTube page and Chris Brown's VEVO.

This actually really benefits from the vocals in my opinion, I've always quite liked Chris Brown's voice anyway but I think this lifts an instrumental that was kinda lacking in the first place. Can definitely see this being a hit now!

Best thing Chris Brown put his name to since 'Beautiful People'.

UGH FINALLY.

EDIT: This song is good, said no one on the YouTube comments.

I've largely gone off dance-pop songs like this since 2013, but I really like this, so catchy!

Probably cause of Chris Brown, but this just works. The girls in the video are impossibly fit though. laugh.gif

Just listened to the DyCy version and it's pretty good. But I like the Chris Brown version too.

Release date has changed AGAIN. It's now being released on 14th June

It's out now and slaying all non-Jason Derulo faves on iTunes!!

Also I'm LOVING this version of it, it's very long (7:26) but it's a lot better than the radio edit as it combines the best bits of the original and Chris Brown version together (particularly loving the inclusion of the original introduction as that's amazing)
