Love Machine should have become the lead single.

Love machine is such a classic Girls Aloud track and was iconic for the time even being covered by Artic Monkeys! Can't imagine that not being in their singles discography even if it's not particularly a favourite, it's certainly the most iconic track of theirs from WWTNS and I'd put in their top 3 most remembered songs. Absolutely. I am not the biggest LM fan, but it's one of their signature songs and most streamed song on Spotify (even beating SOTU by quite a margin). That, SOTU and The Promise are definitely the top three Girls Aloud songs for the general public and I couldn't imagine a world in which LM wasn't a single. |

'Love Machine' slightly grates on me these days, I think it's been overused in adverts.
It's definitely one of their most known/remembered songs though. |

Without "Biology" ? I'd say so yes. I think even Jump and Call The Shots are more remembered these days. Biology was obviously a big moment for them, not even their most successful chart-wise but it definitely changed how the music critics and 'serious music fans' saw them. But I think those other three have become pop classics that you would still hear at a wedding, on the radio or just random in a store and everyone just immediately knows and could sing a long to. |

Biology is very popular in the fan base ( not me though ) but outside that i dont think its one of their most known songs or a better way to put it is i think the casual listener would list other girls aloud songs well before it.

Interestingly Biology is Radio 1's most played Girls Aloud song of the past 5 years! https://www.last.fm/user/bbcradio1/library/...p;to=2021-03-30
It's also the Girls Aloud song they've played most in 2021 so far: https://www.last.fm/user/bbcradio1/library/...p;to=2021-03-30 Radio 2 aren't into Biology though... https://www.last.fm/user/bbcradio2/library/...p;to=2021-03-30 |

I LOVE the fact The Loving Kind is Radio 2's sixth most played Girls Aloud track |

whenever I think of 'graffiti my soul' I think of the fact Britney recorded it and Cheryl has heard the demo... she said that Britney had a weird voice on the track.

Yeah if I was to pick Girls Aloud's three most recognisable songs to the GP these days it'd probably be Sound of the Underground, The Promise and Love Machine. Really interesting to see that Biology is their most played on Radio 1 over the past 5 years though - taste!

Their cover of Jump is very well known to the general public and their most popular cover version.
