Ya it needs something to keep it in the charts, it should eventually go gold though.

Loved Me Back to Life dropped from the Top 15 to outside of the Top 40 after Christmas 2013, so the drop for Courage isn't anything out of the ordinary. Hopefully there will be more Radio 2 support as I can't see Celine being in the UK to promote until the tour starts.

Honestly, ~70k so far isn't horrific for Celine. It could sell Gold in a few months which would put her on par with people like Kylie.

I just think the days of multiplatinum is over for her.

30k is more than achievable for Celine to reach Gold.
Sales will pick up when she tours.

I doubt it to be honest. It will be too late by then. The tour isn’t till September and the album will be largely forgotten. They need a promotional strategy ASAP to avoid the momentum dropping off completely.

Courage UK chart run:

2-13-12-18-18-19-49-83-156-out

Last known total sales figure: 68,018

A shame to see it plummet like that. sad.gif

Change My Mind was playlisted by Radio 2, and spent 4 weeks on the B List, but it's removed this week. It's currently #182 on iTunes!

I imagine we are soon to hear a postpone/cancelled tour announcement? I really hope not, really got back into her this past week. Never gave the Falling into you album a listen until now, I can't stop playing. Completely passed me by she ever did an English version of Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore.

CELINE DION EUROPEAN COURAGE WORLD TOUR ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF REMAINING SHOWS IN 2023 AND 2024

With a sense of tremendous disappointment, Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour today announced the cancellation of all remaining dates currently on sale for 2023 and 2024. As the world has emerged from the pandemic, Celine has continued to be treated for a diagnosed medical condition that prevents her from performing. Celine is working hard on her recovery, but at this time is unable to successfully prepare for and perform the remainder of the tour, which was scheduled to run from August 26, 2023 in Amsterdam through October 4, 2023 in Helsinki; then continuing from March 6, 2024 in Prague through April 22, 2024 in London. We do have every hope that someday soon, Celine will be able to come to all of these cities in Europe to perform for her amazing fans, but that time simply is not now.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%. It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again. I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” said Celine.

Celine had completed the first 52 dates of the Courage World Tour in North America before the pandemic emerged and paused the tour in March 2020. In early 2021, when the entertainment industry was still working under tight COVID restrictions, Celine filmed her first motion picture, Love Again, co- starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan. Since then, Celine has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Stiff Person’s Syndrome, which causes severe and persistent muscle spasms, and which has prevented her from performing. Celine’s medical team continues to evaluate and treat the condition.

Tickets purchased for the forty-two cancelled dates will be refunded via the original point of sale. For further ticket inquiries or options, ticketholders should reach out to their original point of purchase.

Poor Celine! sad.gif

There's no cure for Stiff Persons Syndrome. The symptoms can be managed to improve quality of life, but unfortunately I've thought for a while now that the likelihood of her reaching the point of being able to perform multiple shows over a period of months was never realistic... even if the thought of this was something for Celine to strive for.

I guess we can only wait and see, hopefully it is something she'll be able to do again.

The time line:

10th June 2020 - The July 2020 to September 2020 dates were postponed due to Covid, pushed back to March 2021 to July 2021. Celine also announced some new dates

17th February 2021 - Some dates were again postponed due to Covid, but some remained in place. At this point, her confirmed dates of touring were: July to September 2021, and May 2022 through to September 2022
12th May 2021 - Announces new Vegas residency, which is set to start in November 2021
24th May 2021 - Postpones the July to September 2021 dates, to May 2023 to July 2023
19th October 2021 - The initially announced dates of the Vegas residency dates are cancelled, due to Celine's health - but it's referred to as being a delay
29th April 2022 - May 2022 through to September 2022 tour dates were postponed due to Celine's health, to February 2023 to October 2023
8th December 2022 - Some of the 2023 dates are delayed to March/April 2024 (but August-October 2023 remain in place) - postponements are again due to Celine's health. Some cancellations confirmed too - some European festival dates and the Middle East dates
26th May 2023 - Courage Tour cancelled

... so yeah, this has been a journey.

Im not surprised by this and i really cant see Celine touring again, if she does i think she will scale it down as she will need to really look after her health, i really hope her health improves for her.
