Looking at Meghan Trainor's release for LAM. I just wondered what it did for her having the song available months before it's actual release? Will it be a trend more artists will do?

It will probably be less important come June if the iTunes streaming service launches that month, as it is is expected to do so. I wonder if acts will hold back releases once iTunes has a streaming service?

Hopefully when it does launch it will encourage UK labels to release singles for purchasing sooner than they currently do. Of course the launch of the iTunes streaming service will probably hasten the fall in permanent download sales as there is less incentive to have to buy a track if it is easily available to stream. The amount of streaming that currently takes place will be completely dwarfed once iTunes enters the market.

Indeed I think this is what the uk music chiefs wanted when the added streaming last year they wanted to make held back releases less common and dominant(in terms if so many held back one week no1s).
