I thought this would go down better among fans since I see it as a Move Pt II, with it's quirky catchy production.

Ok this is MUCH better in studio, I love the chorus production but I think it is a bit too weird to work as a single. Wasabi pushes the boundaries too but does it much better, this just has a more empowering message so might catch on. I could feasibly see this kinda bombing or absolutely smashing, but it just seems like a bit of a risk as a single. I am really really liking it though, I think it's one of their best facets when they are challenging pop and pushing the boundaries a bit.

To be fair, they're at a point when they can take risks. 'Move' was probably too risky for them at that point in their career, even though they did pull it off. At this point even if 'Strip' under-performs, they have a whole album of potential hits to fall back on, and even with a major flop, they'd still get massive support with the next single. But I feel like the reason it doesn't sound like a hit, is because it sounds like literally nothing else in the charts right now, which is could work in their favour and surprise us all.

True, in the streaming era too it's so easy to move on if something doesn't take off, just add that to playlists etc. and it'll take off if it's safer! I do admire that they haven't just pushed out obvious hit after obvious hit, it's one of the things that sets them apart from other girl groups. |

Definitely. I just hope it pays off for them as the girls really love it. I kinda see the 'Move' comparisons tbh. I also think that if any act are gonna pull off a risky single choice I think it could be Little Mix.

Yeah, I do agree that it won't harm them if it flops and it's nice to see them straying from the obvious bops. My only issue is that it's denying another song on the album the single treatment, and there's so many that deserve it. I can't see them releasing, say, 'Wasabi' after 'Strip' since it's similarly a bit 'out there'. Having now heard the whole album, WLM was already a bit of a misfire.

If Strip does well they’ll probably go with Wasabi as they’re both out there. If Strip flops they’ll probably go with Think About Us because it’s a basic bop (a great one but still basic and harmless)

I absolutely LOVE this. So different for them , I love message behind it and it’s just a overall bop imo. It gives me Move vibes not in the sound but in terms of how different and unique it is.

Well, in a chart that’s full of nondescript urban fodder, it’s not that hard to stand out. I mean, Freya Ridings managed top 10 with a Someone Like You-esque piano acoustic.

I’ve only just had the chance to listen the studio version, and I hate to say that I just don’t feel this at all. I appreciate that the girls break the mould, and the message that comes with the song is fantastic. But as an actual song I just really isn’t clicking for me, and I don’t really see it resonating with the general public, but I’d love to be proven wrong. But on the whole I find it a very odd choice for the second single, especially given the lukewarm reception woman like me recieved
