We're just a little over 48 hours away from the best week of Melodifestivalen, Andra Chansen! If you're new to the proceedings, then here's how it works. All the songs that finished 3rd and 4th in the heats have been paired into duels. The producers pair songs together that are similar in genre and style as best as possible, however as songs that competed in the same heat cannot duel together, as well as songs that both finished 3rd or 4th in their heat, you do end up with some odd choices, see Anton Hagman v. Loreen. Is it the fairest way to do things? Probably not, but it makes for fantastic television, as careers can go up in flames in the epic FINAL OR BUST showdowns. Not to mention there'll be tears before bedtime as Joseph and Jahq go HEAD TO HEAD in Duel 4 *.*
I've added a poll where you can choose your PREFERENCE of who progresses from each duel, but you can leave your predictions down below! Duel 1: Lisa Ajax - I Don't Give A (Axel's song is alright though)
Duel 2: Dismissed - Hearts Align (I honestly don't really care for either but this is ever so slightly better) Duel 3: Anton Hagman - Kiss You Goodbye (Loreen's song is good but Anton is definitely better for me) Duel 4: FO&O - Gotta Thing About You (the easiest option x) |

EXCITING (even though I won't be here to watch it or the final, oops)
Voted for Lisa Ajax / Dismissed / Loreen / FO&O. I think I marginally prefer 'Her Kiss' but I think I'd enjoy seeing Hearts Align progress as it'd be something different for the final while Boris would just feel a bit "more of the same". I'd quite happily just take Lisa & Axel and FO&O & De Vet Du though, they're my favourite 4

I've gone:
Lisa Dismissed Loreen FO&O The only one I'm reasonably certain will progress of those is Lisa. Dismissed I don't even care for that much but Boris and his song are just annoying. Loreen on paper should go straight through but so many times a high profile star taking part in an AC duel has ended in misery, so I'm not hedging my bets. Statements just isn't exploding on Spotify either, Anton is incredibly close and the app votes will probably favour him. I like Road Trip a lot but the FO&O song is classic Cheiron style pop and needs to be in the final really... |

Duel 1 It's really close but Lisa just edges it for me, although I wouldn't be upset at Axel advancing.
Duel 2 Well I could do without both of them really, but I'd like to see Dismissed go through, as it's been a while since we've had a rock based act in the final, whereas with already got Benjamin and Robin there so we don't need Boris. Whoever gets through is probably coming last in the final though. Duel 3 I really REALLY love 'Kiss You Goodbye' but it has GOT to be Loreen in the final, the performance of the year. Duel 4 I've struggled with this as again, I adore both for different reasons and I really want them both in the final. Voted for FO&O though as they'll have a better chance in the final whereas De Vet Du would be killed off by the international juries. |

Duel 1 - Axel is the far better and more exciting song, Lisa's song is only okay - this feels unusual to be supporting a Swedish pop male but okay. Weakest of the duels.
Duel 2 - I feel like the only one who's interested in this duel. Dismissed obviously as the only rock rep left but Boris has a better song than last year, but still, Dismissed because they're better. Duel 3 - Statements naturally, it's growing on me, she's a great artist even if this isn't quite her best (still great though!) and the final would be far poorer without it. While Kiss Me Goodbye has been making its way out of the 'awful' territory by turning out to have nightcored rather well, it would be quite the travesty if a xerox twink beat Loreen. Duel 4 - The duel where I want both in the final most but I'm going for Road Trip as it fills my Swedish dance needs very well - FO&O have a good boyband song but has nothing on it anywhere near as exciting as De Vet Du's breakdown. |

I am going to be CRUSHED either way when it comes to FO&O vs De Vet Du, I've gone for the latter due to the fun performance
Gone for Dismissed as I didn't mind their performance and Boris is just awful. Lisa, but I wouldn't mind too much either way on this one. Anton over Loreen. He has one of my three favourite songs in the contest, Statements is just outside my top 10. I can see them all realistically going either way though. |

Yeah I think Anton will too. Which is silly really as I think Loreen could win the whole thing if she was in the final, allowing for time for it to grow on the Swedish public and of course the inevitable international jury landslide, whereas Anton would most likely be bottom few. But that's the way it is I guess.
