I've only seen these two from that year so I can't say for sure the Coens would be my winners but it was excellently directed so I'm not sure my opinion would change even if I had seen all five.

Joe Wright probably should have been nominated (for directing the single take Dunkirk scene alone to be honest). I'd have liked to see Tim Burton nominated too but Sweeney Todd definitely seems more suited to the Golden Globes rather than the Oscars heehee.gif
