One More Time is easily my fave from the very top bracket wub.gif

I do LOVE the top 2 as well though. Take On Me is a very worthy winner.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this throughout the course of the contest but I'm reasonably sure something similar was carried out on this Forum before (maybe by Dan?) and Shakira's 'Wherever, Whenever' was the winner so to not even see that in the top 100 this time is rather baffling!

You're right, Shakira won my Ultimate 21st Century #2s rate done in 2016. The top 10 was:

1 Shakira - Whenever Wherever
2 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder On The Dancefloor
3 Michael Jackson – Man In The Mirror
4 Destiny's Child - Lose My Breath
5 Daft Punk - One More Time
6 Girls Aloud - No Good Advice
7 Justin Timberlake - Cry Me A River
8 Sam Sparro – Black & Gold
9 Kelis - Milkshake
10 Adele – Rolling In The Deep

I also did one in 2011 which had this top 10:

1. +91 Gorillaz "Feel Good Inc"
2. +86 Take That "Rule The World"
3. +78 ADELE "Rolling In The Deep"
4. +77 Rihanna "Unfaithful"
5. +75 Daft Punk "One More Time"
6. +58 Destiny's Child "Lose My Breath"
7. +55 Shakira "Whenever, Wherever"
8. +53 Michael Jackson "Man In The Mirror"
9. +49 Bodyrox feat. Luciana "Yeah Yeah"
10. +48 Sophie Ellis Bextor "Murder On The Dancefloor"

A 90s #2s poll I also did in 2011 had:

1. +138 1995 Pulp "Common People"
2. +97 1992 The KLF feat. Tammy Wynette "Justified and Ancient"
3. +90 1990 Kylie Minogue "Better The Devil You Know"
4. +85 1996 Underworld "Born Slippy" (indv. +292)
5. +85 1998 Madonna "Ray Of Light" (indv. +233)
6. +71 1997 The Verve "Bittersweet Symphony"
7. +61 1996 Robert Miles "Children"
8. +57 1990 Madonna "Justify My Love"
9. +53 1995 Oasis "Wonderwall"
10. +51 1997 Dario G "Sunchyme"

The full results are all collated in this thread (which I should update with these results shortly)

This is the first time I think a #2s rate of all time has took place however, so nothing to compare it to except those above.

373 songs received votes in the first round but that Shakira song wasn't one of them so it's really fallen out of favour!

That first round is pretty interesting in itself because that was just asking people to rank their favourite number 2s out of the complete list. A surprisingly huge lead for Born Slippy on that metric!
