Botanikka have considered another asian star to be selected for next month BJSC...we do believe that BoA might bring back our country into finals...we have said that in the last competition aswell but Angunn failed it and even worst, she finished 2-nd from the bottom in semifinals.

The show was a real success and broke the records of ratings.

The Gavin Mikhal perfomance in Botanikka TV edged ahead of Searching For Idol in the ratings last night, according to early figures. Even though the SFI was the result night, looks like population turned on the Gavin perfomance with 66 % to its rival 28 %...yeah strange, and alot of people claims that they missed the results and they don't know yet who got kicket out from last night SFI show...and the good news is that we have a calls every minute to reprise the last night show or at least Gavin perfomance, which according to Btv they gonna show perfomance of Gavin every 2 hours for a whole week...and the end we hope that Darin perfomance in Ojnoj gonna be succesfull as Gavins.

WOW! We are honoured and we are sure Darin will be heading for some success in the BJSC! It is very risky sending males to the contest and last time Gavin missed out on the final, by 2 points. Inner Massivia's "Some Kind Of Fool Tour" hits Botanikka

On the fifth day of their "Some Kind Of Fool" tour, Inner Massivia were delighted to be in Botannika, probably the most beautiful country in all of Quilvoria.

First up at the midday open air gig was our entry into this month's XIIth contest, Leona Lewis with her collaboration with MC Anon, Fool:



Leona bows to the crowd and then starts speaking: "Thank you everyone! As a special treat for you I've brought along with me my fellow performer from Thursday's Bambi awards. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's the one, the only, Miss Britney Spears!":



The crowd are electrified! The Princess of Pop is back and better than ever! She's the Queen of Pop! As Britney departs on her elephant Leona returns, blowing her a kiss as they pass. Next up Leona has a special song for the people of Botannika and their representative in BJSC XII - it's her version of Darin's Homeless:



That seems to have gone down well with the home support! Now here's someone who can always perform brilliantly live and with such style, it's Leona's collaborator on Spirit, Ne-Yo!

LIGHTS Arrives in Botanikka Not Someday Soon But Today!

The Kingdom of Shadow's entry into this month's BJSC, Lights, unloaded from her coach in the historic nation of Botanikka this evening. With such a strong entry this time round, there is every possibilty this could be the host nation next month if their single 'Someday Soon' does as well as its Shadowan fans hope, it is therefore the perfect time to check out the country and for Lights to play a few songs! First came a brilliant track from her EP, 'White' which is rumoured to be the Great King of Shadow's favorite song from the Canadian artist.



Next Lights performed 'Ice' her extraordinarily hyped entry into BJSC XIII



When asked 'Was It Worth It?' Lights assured the interviewer singing was her Favorite Game and she'd be 'Crushed' if she couldn't perform. Fans assured her that the Canadian was their 'Saviour' and should she ever get into any 'Dangerous' situations 'They'll be There For You'

I have a couple of ideas at the minute but I think I'm probably going to send Linda Sundblad. Amanda Jenssen would be a great entry but I'm not sure how it would do that's what stopped me from sending it, Cassie Davis would do quite well I think (definitely reach the final).

On her round the world promo tour, Janet Leon tonight landed in Botanikka after fighting her way out of Eledan earlier. The Kingdom of Shadow entrant made a special request to stop off here, the reasons for which were not made clear until after the show. She started her set with lively dance number 'Heartache on the Dancefloor before going on to perform several other tracks from her album including her BJSC XV entry 'Breakaway'.



Following the show, Shadowan tabloid newspaper 'The Daily Filth' wrote of a possible love interest between Botanikka's superstar entry Petros. This would certainly explain Janet's eagerness to visit the country!

1. Brillaint song, whoever has this will probably be the pre-contest favourite imo. The question is whether you'll get it, but it'll certainly go top 10, if not win, for whoever enters it.

2. Another good song, although less so than Medina. It seems to be a safe top 15.
12th-14th

3. Not my kind of song, and I don't think it is really BJSC-friendly, so I think bottom 10.
26th-29th (depending on final size)

4. Again I don't really like it, but I can see this doing better than #3, but not by much.
14th-17th

5. Great song, definately your best shot if you don't get Medina. It won't do quite as well, but it still should have a fair chance of getting top 10.
8th-12th

My more detailed opinions.

1. Kim Sozzi - Feel You Love --> I see appeal and imagine it will really start growing on me when you next let me listen to it lol. Top 15, good chance of to 10.
2. Milk Inc. - Blackout --> IT grows on me with every listen and I'm really warming to it. Especially the quite subtle vocals towards the end. Top 15(ish)
3. Lasgo - Lost --> A standard good dance song though I don't think there is enough to the song for it pick up a lot of points. Bottom 5 in the final.
4. Elektrik Red - Muah --> A nice song but not one of my favourites from them, can't see it doing anything in the contest. DNQ.
5. Robert Miles/Maria Nayler - One And One --> Never grabbed me at all, never really went anywhere. DNQ.

I don't mean to seem harsh with my predictions but it's always much nicer to do better than expected.

Robert Miles – One And One 9.5/10 Awesome, guaranteed high points from me. Although Fable would have probably gotten a 10/10.
Milk Inc. Blackout 9/10 Great as well. Awesome band, haven't heard one single bad song yet.
Lasgo – Lost 7.5/10 Another good band, I love her voice. Not their best song, though.
Kim Sozzi – Feel Your Love 6.5/10 I like that, too. There's potential to grow, might be a 7 in front soon.
Electric Red – Muah 2/10 This totally stands out from your otherwise great choices. I just hope you won't enter this.

In-Grid, its so annoying does nothing for me, awful, I had to turn off after 30 secs 1/5

Spit, its ok-ish, but not that good to qualify in my opinion 1.5/5

Edward Maya, love this on first listen, I love the arrangement over it, more BJ friendly, could give you a final placing 5/5

Miss Platnum, nothing special most likely DNQ 1/5

MonRoe, close second, good choice, I like it on first listen, 4.5/5


Overall Edward Maya for me, return the favour when you can, you might laugh out loud on option 1

From those my favourite is by far Edward Maya. I've known it for a while and its a good song.
I think Monroe will probably do really well in the competition, but cant say i like the song unfortunately
The opposite can be said for In-Grid, nice track, but not BJSC friendly at all
I also quite like Miss Platnum, not as good as Give Me The Food, but its a really catchy track.
as for Spit, i find it quite boring. Edward Maya is much better

Good, then I'm first in to give my professional evaluation on the next two songs in the running to be the representative for Botanikka in XXII!

Heads We Dance - Take My Picture
- 7/8 out of 10

The intro is catchy, and makes me ready to welcome something even more rythmical - and that is exactly what I get as well. This is only in the chorus though, cause the verses are a bit boring - but that doesn't really matter, really. Not when you/I hear the chorus.

So, a bit mixed feelings this one gives, but the song is great, seeing as the catchy feeling lingers after listening


Edward Maya - Stereo Love
- 3 out of 10

Boring and uneventful intro. Boring and uneventful chorus. Boring and uneventful finish.

I'd say it's nothing more than a wannabe song, sorry =/

Btw, I can see from my national points scoreboard, that Greenfroze has awarded Botanikka with points three times since our/my debut;

7 points in XV, 2 points in XVII and 1 point in BJSC XX..

The devestating fact, is that we've never recieved any points from Botanikka at all


Anyway I can see from those songs you have chosen here (if one of the songs I like win) that you'll might be in for some points again

I've randomly chosen to give my opinion on this


I really like it - and on this second time of me listening to this, I felt it grew some too. This genre hasn't been all that used/sent in BJSC, so hopefully (taken to account the good comments on it) other genres (like this) will be more and more represented. Anyway, this is inspired and rather beautiful

Oh and, it sounds a bit like that Kim Sozzi song as well

I think it's a little too late for Armin Van Buuren that song is ancient now, although I'm still addicted to it It's #14 on my chart atm, have you heard Never Say Never? It's much more fresher and equally as brilliant! I really like Vita too, dance entries are my sort of thing so high points from me Young Money is suprisingly brilliant too but it'll do a Kardinal Offishall Dangerous ha. .

Basically everyone IOFF user can join, but usually you have to apply for the contest... there's a limited number of participants, so sometimes you have to be really quick when application starts. But next time things seem to be different, we don't know yet what the organisers are plannning...

In contrast to BJSC, only songs and artists are allowed who are widely unknown to the forum. So no German chart entry, usually no UK or US hit and no own threads for the artist in the forum... And no ESC song, but songs from national finals are allowed as there are only 3-4 users who really follow them.

And, of course the most important difference, we represent real countries and the artists must have a close connection to them... which sometimes makes it really hard to find a good song

I like the idea of being assigned a country, I used to be part of a contest on another forum who did this. I got Malta one time and sent a band called Chasing Pandora. The second time I got Iceland and sent Emiliana Torrini - Jungle Drum, which I also decided to use for BJSC at the same time

Both songs are very good, i think Sky would stand a greater chance of getting points from me, and probably has a better appeal

I said I'd comment, so I am I like Sunday Girl a lot, very catchy and easy on the ear. Sky is also catchy but it sounds like cut-price Ke$ha-meets-La-Roux. Soraya I've commented on before, but I still think it's the best here, her voice sounds AMAZING

That's true. I think Soraya is best overall, but Sunday Girl is the best hope of a good result (it reminds me of Ellie Goulding a bit).

At least there is this one big final thing for this contest so no matter who you choose it's almost garantueed to get points from whoever normally is in to those type of songs. I think you should go with the one that is mostly a risk for this contest, just in case the one big final thing isn't continuing forever. Because if it's not, you'll have the least risky song to send next contest (if you still like it/not bored of it by then ) to qualify for the final


I'd say none of them is a wrong choice btw if you're worried about that. They're both very right!

that's what I was thinking...Sunday Girl screams to be sent in this contest...and to me is more riskier than Soraya which it's easier for everyones ear...in other word nothing new...dance song with lead female vocals...Sunday girl is different league...starts so slow but you can't leave her until the end of the song.

please be polite...which one you like the most...and yes you have to choose only one

I like them just as much, but in different ways. I love to just sit down and listen to Four floors, as relaxing as it is, and sing along to the chorus and everything! It's truly gorgeous! But with the other one I really like the energy to it, and as a dance music fan I can't help but love that one too. Dancing and partying, lol

But, Soroya does feel more average/standard dance even though it's not quite standard at all. Sunday girl is special, and would probably give most people a disovery than Soroya. I'm sure it has some really great appeal in this contest, so it's the best entry by definition as well.
