TOOL are back after 13 years with their anticipated 5th album 'Fear Innoculum' on August 30th. I didn't see them as a band I'd be a fan of but after hearing all the hype I decided to give the title track of the new album a listen. I really enjoyed it and decided to give some of their other work a listen as well.
Looking forward to it |

Fear Inoculum (the song) is fantastic. I must find time to listen to the rest of the album.

I've been seeing a lot of hype around this album (and the fact that the title track is the longest ever song to enter the Billboard top 100 *.*) and said title track is fantastic now I've gotten around to listening.
They're a band I've always seen as more of a legend that I've never listened to much probably because of how unavailable on digital their music apparently was before this. |

This is getting slated a lot everywhere I look, and I kind of get the neutral reaction. It's alright, but very by-numbers and lacks anything really exciting or memorable.

I've seen very little but positive reactions!
I'm not used to Tool (will have to check out their back catalogue) but this progressive stuff is real relaxing, I've been going through it and it feels fine to stop and start the album whenever I feel like it. |
