BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ Top 200 Chart Runs

Posted by: hotchoc26 Aug 6 2014, 07:22 PM

Does anyone have access to a top 200 UK Singles archive that they are able to publish upon request similar in style to the http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13100 thread over on UKMix? The user with the database has gone AWOL for a while so we haven't been able to get any requests for a while.

Possibly just if anyone here has Chart plus which posts a top 200!

ChartsPlus carries a weekly New Entry Spotlight that lists artists previous hits, but I don't know of a definitive list for all artists in the Guinness Hit Singles style.

I was hoping someone would have the subscription like Hanboo over here. I don't know if he'll ever come back... cry.gif

If you only want a small request for one artist or song, then it may be worth getting in touch with Zobbel (zobbel@zobbel.de) who has access to the Top 200s.

See http://zobbel.de/cluk/140802cluk.txt for the new entries on the chart dated 2 August 2014.
However, if you want a lot more - then it may be worth investing in a http://www.ukchartsplus.co.uk/.

It is supposed to be a free request solution by someone with the chart data. I'll keep looking around 😐

Why do you think people who have invested hundreds of hours in building chart data (which technically is copyrighted by the way) would just give it all to you? Be thankful for what you already get.

I am but from what I've seen it is legal to have chart runs (for artist's releases) on their performance on the chart. Hanboo was very generous in accepting requests but it would have been nice if someone may also be just as generous over here with the chart data sleep.gif

Hanboo was announced as dead over on UKMix. His database is supposed to be passing to another person so his data will live on. R.I.P.
