One of the biggest mistakes of their career was not releasing On the Metro as a single
 BOP! A great performance on the tour. Not the most elaborate choreography ever but they really sell it! DJ Fresh/Invisible Men did a really great job of capturing Girls Aloud's essence. You'd be mistaken for thinking it was a Xenomania song! |

I've been binge-watching Waterloo Road recently, including the whole of Series 4's second block of episodes yesterday (!) and was thrilled by the amount of Tangled Up and Out of Control tracks I heard! Lots of Sugababes too. I wonder if there was some sort of deal made? I know they supported bands like Athlete and Thirteen Senses in previous series.

Also I never knew it wasn't Xenomania I always assumed it was

I think I am one of the few fans who absolutely adores BCYLM, but it was not the right single choice. They probably saw it as 'the ballad that will make the album shift some extra copies during the holiday period', but On The Metro would have been so much better. Can you imagine the video?  I could totally see a Sound Of The Underground 2.0 concept as a homage to where it all started.

It is disappointing that no new solo albums are been worked on from any member of the group.
This may spurn them into what we want most, a reunion. |
