One of the biggest mistakes of their career was not releasing On the Metro as a single
BOP! A great performance on the tour. Not the most elaborate choreography ever but they really sell it! DJ Fresh/Invisible Men did a really great job of capturing Girls Aloud's essence. You'd be mistaken for thinking it was a Xenomania song! |

I've been binge-watching Waterloo Road recently, including the whole of Series 4's second block of episodes yesterday (!) and was thrilled by the amount of Tangled Up and Out of Control tracks I heard! Lots of Sugababes too. I wonder if there was some sort of deal made? I know they supported bands like Athlete and Thirteen Senses in previous series.

Totally agree it was such a missed opportunity seriously WTF made them go with BCYLM over this??? Also I never knew it wasn't Xenomania I always assumed it was |

That has definitely been one of their strangest career choices. I think I am one of the few fans who absolutely adores BCYLM, but it was not the right single choice. They probably saw it as 'the ballad that will make the album shift some extra copies during the holiday period', but On The Metro would have been so much better. Can you imagine the video? I could totally see a Sound Of The Underground 2.0 concept as a homage to where it all started. |

On The Metro would have become successful and of greater benefit to album sales.

It is disappointing that no new solo albums are been worked on from any member of the group.
This may spurn them into what we want most, a reunion. |

Girls Aloud on vinyl: What Will the Neighbours Say? - Album 12" Promo - pink vinyl [includes Love Machine, Wake Me Up, Big Brother, The Show, Thank Me Daddy and Jump] Sound of the Underground - Single 12" Promo No Good Advice - Single 12" Promo - with the normal artwork No Good Advice - Single 12" Promo - with the black and white check pattern artwork - red vinyl Life Got Cold - Single 12" Promo - blue vinyl Jump - Single 12" Promo - glitter pink vinyl Love Machine - Single 7" Picture Disc Wake Me Up - Single 7" Picture Disc Walk This Way - Single 12" Promo The Promise - Single 7" Picture Disc The Loving Kind - Single 7" Picture Disc Untouchable - Single 7" Picture Disc Something New - Single 7" - blue vinyl I didn't realise there was a promo vinyl for Walk This Way until today! I'm fairly certain the above is everything. Pretty much all of them are rare/expensive, maybe the picture discs are easier to buy though. I'd absolutely love for them to issue their albums on vinyl one day, or at the very least 'Ten'! Bolded all the ones that I own now lost out on a pink 'Jump' vinyl the other day but have otherwise been doing well in bidding wars lately! They've all arrived now except the picture disc for 'The Loving Kind' so will take a picture of all of them when that's here |
