Gabrielle has announced details of her new album, called Under My Skin
The singer’s sixth studio album is her first in 11 years, following 2007's Always. The collection is released on August 17 via BMG
Show Me was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Steve Chrisanthou, whose previous credits include Paloma Faith, Will Young and Lianne La Havas. "When Steve first played me the music to Show Me, I knew I had to write to it," Gabrielle said. "It excited and inspired me. I feel like it’s me, it’s classic Gabrielle and I love it".
Gabrielle is launching the album with a sold out show at London's Jazz Cafe on May 8.

Actual lol
Made a fresh topic
Great, I'm glad she is coming back.
I wonder if this will be handled as a nostalgic comeback like Steps and All Saints recent successful albums (and Lisa Stansfields more floppy comeback!).
Or will it be promoted like a 'current' and fully promoted era with singles and radio airplay and promotion etc.
Know what I mean guys?
I love Gabrielle , i will be ordering
Oh I do like a bit of Gabrielle. Missed out on Always but Play to win was good and Rise is just such a classic album!! Will look out for this one!
Pleasant enough new track. Can’t see this doing that well but have liked some of her earlier stuff.
'Sunshine' will forever remain my favourite Gabrielle song. What a tune.
Love the album cover!
The new single is very pleasant!
She's doing multi-formats for her album like Kylie did (they're on the same label, BMG) - maybe she could manage Top 10? There's over a three month build up until release!
Her studio album peaks:
#09 - Gold - Find Your Way
#11 - Platinum - Gabrielle
#01 - 4x Platinum - Rise
#10 - Gold - Play to Win
#11 - Always
Evidently 'Rise' was a bit of an anomaly in that it was hugely successful studio album for her, but otherwise she was quite consistent with her peaks! Interesting to note that the 'Dreams' single didn't result in a particularly big debut album, whereas the 'Rise' single really did translate into major album sales. Otherwise her most successful album was Dreams Can Come True - Greatest Hits Vol 1 which peaked at #2 and was certified 4x Platinum.
My favourite 5 singles: Dreams, If You Ever, Sunshine, Should I Stay, Out of Reach
Wonderful to see her return as she has released some strong material through the years.
I cant see her having huge success but i would like to believe she would do slightly better than the latest release by Lisa Stansfield.
I'm shocked at those album peaks - I always thought she was a much bigger artist in terms of album sales. "Rise" was obviously huge (and the title track is my favourite track by her) but she was so big in the 90s as well, and I thought had really tapped into the adult market more than those peaks suggest. Though the certifications are decent.
Always is my fav Gabrielle album .
Sunshine is her best single.
Rise is such a fab album I adore it!
She had some cracking singles deserved more success tbh.
Both new releases are brilliant imo
The second official single is finally here, and it is called Shine.
Shine is fabulous
I am loving shine, this would have been a hot when she was played on radio .
Shine is lovely
Her third single with the word 'shine' in the title!
Anyone have single sales and album sales for her discography ?
I mean she has had some huge sales.
Shine is lovely!!
Great album - so good to have Gabrielle back again, there seems to be zero hype on release week though so can see this being a 14-73-98-out kinda album
Like the sound of the new album from clips on iTunes!
I'm really loving this album, always a fan of Gabrielle but this album feels like home and 'Shine' is brilliant
I havnt managed to purchase the album just yet but will so by end of week.
I like what i have heard so far.
I have been streaming for a couple of days .
Under my skin is a standout and I would guess would be the next single. I don’t think the album is as good as always but it’s still a great effort .
Signs is also a standout track for me as we’ll Shine. Shine has been top 100 on iTunes all week which is amazing seeing as its only being played on radio 2.
Such a great album
Entered at 7 👍🏻
Awesome her highest charting studio album since Rise went to #1 and her highest charting album release since Dream can come true in 2001!
It is just great to see her return to the Top 10 and her drop this week is not nearly as much as i feared.
I had thought she may possibly fall out of the Top 40.
