actually it's the opposite, in the past all best sellers were always limited to Q4 (ie Westlife)
now with 21 and Ed and Ezra things have changed completely and any time of the year fits

I reckon for bigger artists it makes more sense to release in Q1/Q2 tbh, they get huge sales early on in the year then a huge Christmas boost just as their sales are beginning to slow. Whereas smaller artists or “only buy as a present” artists benefit a lot more during Q4.

Yeah!!

Adele is someone who’d do really well whenever released.

Ed’s never had a Q4 release either has he and he’s the only person this decade who I can match to being on Adele’s level for album sales.

I do think her team would try and push for a pre Christmas release though.

Another week and more rumours...

Apparently she's been booked to appear on Jimmy Fallon tonight and Kimmel tomorrow...? Hmmm. I guess we'll know VERY soon if that's right or wrong.

last week I believed it all, even the Nicki Minaj duet biggrin.gif so this week I'm being more cautious

Hope it's the week after so they don't lose their Number 1 streak. It'll be great to see amazing sales on the album chart again!

I hope so! I’ve really missed her and I’ve been listening to 25 a LOT lately!

For me so far all of her albums have gotten better so hoping this follows that trend. Plus with what happened in her personal life too I’m guessing that would provide plenty scope of material.

I'd say it was earlier than expected tbh - I was fully prepared for another Q4 release. Hopefully this means we'll get a lead single in the lead up to the summer.

September sounds pretty spot on with what to expect, means the album has time to sell through the build up to Xmas with 2-3 singles.

Yes as Medellin says expect a single in July then. Adele is t one for releasing 5 singles pre album!
