Am I the only one that looks at the top 10s of five, ten and twenty years ago and thinks they were so much better than last year's or am I just getting old?

2013 1- I COULD BE THE ONE- Avicii Vs Nicky Romero (90,999) 2- THRIFT SHOP- Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Ft Wanz (83,319) 3- HARLEM SHAKE- Baauer (42,373) Oh wow, it's really been five years now! One of my favourite songs ever, this was one of my favourite chart moments too, and unlike 'Wake Me Up' it wasn't a foregone conclusion that this would be making #1 too so I was so so happy. Also 5 years since Harlem Shake lol. I unashamedly loved that at the time. Don't revisit it very often now though. |

Personally this afternoon I'm just waiting for Buzzjack's reaction to the BlocBoy JB feat. Drake song. *__* That to chart as high as possible please.
Would also be nice if Marsh-Marie make the top 20 (that song grew on me a bit after the first few listens, I'd be happy for that to be a hit - still don't get 'Silence' though!) and Rita Ora gets another top 10. |

Calvin Harris feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR Nuh Ready Nuh Ready - Information The king of collaborations returns with dancehall heat. - iTunes Released: 9th February 2017 Label: Sony Music Entertainment UK Video Biography Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), known professionally as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish record producer, DJ, singer, and songwriter. His debut studio album I Created Disco was released in June 2007, from which came his UK top 10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". In 2009, Harris released his second studio album Ready for the Weekend, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was later certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry within two months of its release. Its lead single "I'm Not Alone" became his first song to top the UK Singles Chart. Harris rose to international prominence with the release of his third studio album 18 Months in October 2012. Topping the UK charts, the album became his first to chart on the US Billboard 200 chart (where it reached number 19). All eight of the album's singles, which were "Bounce", "Feel So Close", "Let's Go", "We'll Be Coming Back", "Sweet Nothing", "Drinking from the Bottle", "I Need Your Love" and "Thinking About You" reached the top 10 in the UK. At the time, Harris broke the record for the most top 10 songs from one studio album on the UK Singles Chart with nine entries, surpassing Michael Jackson. Harris released his fourth studio album Motion in November 2014. It debuted at number two in the UK and at number five in the US, and became Harris's second consecutive number one album on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart. The album's first three singles "Under Control", "Summer" and "Blame" all topped the UK chart. Harris has collaborated with numerous other recording artists. His collaboration with Rihanna "We Found Love" became an international success, giving Harris his first US number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The two later collaborated on the singles "Where Have You Been" (2012) and "This Is What You Came For" (2016). In October 2014, he became the first artist to place three songs simultaneously on the top 10 of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs chart. He also became the first British solo artist to reach more than one billion streams on Spotify. Harris has received ten Brit Award nominations—three for Best British Male, and four Grammy nominations, winning a Grammy for Best Music Video in 2013. He received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year in 2013 and at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards was named Top Dance/Electronic Artist. Additionally, Harris topped Forbes' list of the world's highest-paid DJs for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015. One of the most successful musicians in contemporary British popular culture, Harris appeared on Debrett's 2017 list of the most influential people in the United Kingdom. Saara Aalto Monsters - Information Released: 9th February 2018 Label: Warner Music Finland Video Biography Born Saara Sofia Aalto, Saara Aalto is a Finnish singer, songwriter, and voice actress. Her bright, agile delivery came to the attention of many in Europe when she competed on The Voice of Finland and The X Factor (U.K.) in the 2010s. Born in Oulunsalo in 1987, Aalto grew up playing the piano and began writing songs at the age of five. She won a children's songwriting competition at age 11 (Kotka Maritime Festival). When she was 14, she saw a television performance by Charlotte Church and was inspired to take voice lessons. She studied music in secondary school, then moved to Helsinki to study at the Sibelius Academy and the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory. In her early twenties, she appeared in several stage musicals with the Helsinki City Theatre, including playing Dorothy in Wicked. She released two albums in 2011 on her own Yume Records label: the English-language Blessed with Love and the holiday album Enkeleitä: Angels. Aalto made her own TV appearance by competing to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest, also in 2011. She finished as runner-up with her song "Blessed with Love." In 2012, she placed second in the first season of The Voice of Finland, winning fans over with her versions of songs such as "Over the Rainbow" and Heart's "Barracuda." She then won the coveted role of Anna in the Finnish version of the Disney animated film Frozen (2013). Meanwhile, she garnered a following in China, having competed in a song contest there where the dedicated multilinguist sang in Mandarin. She opened a concert in Shanghai for opera legend José Carreras in May 2013 and that summer released an all-Mandarin album, Ai De Zhu Fu. She also put out another English-language album in 2013, You Had My Heart, which contained one French-language track, "Je Suis Malade." A duet album with Teemu Roivainen, Tonight, followed in 2015. Aalto gave the Eurovision Song Contest another go in 2016, eventually finishing second to Finland's representative with her song "No Fear." That same year, she competed on the 13th season of U.K.'s The X Factor and finished in the runner-up spot. Following her appearance on that show, she was signed to Sony Music in both the U.K. and Finland. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2018 xx Monsters -1- Social Media |
