The scores have been counted and it's time for the results! Click here for a reminder of the questions. Before I start, here's some quick stats on how everyone did: - 12 questions were answered correctly by everyone (9 of these were missing vowels) - The least-correctly-guessed question was answered by just 10 of the 26 participants - One person scored full points across the entire quiz! CONNECTIONS: Question 1
The songs in these clues contain the collective names for animals, and I've replaced them with the animals they refer to. The songs were Murder on the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis Bextor, Love and Pride by King, Pack Up by Eliza Doolittle, and What I Go To School For by Busted. This was correctly guessed by everyone, so well done! Correctly answered: dandy*, chrissmith276, n4yr, JulianT, uptempo_owww!, AaronTM, RabbitFurCoat, rio309, xajnipi, Mangø, jimwatts, Soy Adrián, Doctor Blind, paulgilb, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, CJK, dan::G, Bjork, StoneDragon, Jade, Suedehead2, jakewild, coi, LewisGT, Chez Wombat |

Loved that first connection, inspired!
One of these connections drove me mad, I thought I had it, but then something proved me wrong. I'm interested to see if I was close with it! |

CONNECTIONS: Question 2
For this question, I think I'll let SZA tell you the connection. They're all... All of these artists had songs in those years about some sort of "good day" - in order, a perfect day, a beautiful day, a fantastic day, and a lovely day! This was another one where everyone got it right. Correctly answered: dandy*, chrissmith276, n4yr, JulianT, uptempo_owww!, AaronTM, RabbitFurCoat, rio309, xajnipi, Mangø, jimwatts, Soy Adrián, Doctor Blind, paulgilb, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, CJK, dan::G, Bjork, StoneDragon, Jade, Suedehead2, jakewild, coi, LewisGT, Chez Wombat |

Oh wow, a clean sweep I was pleased by the amount I got when I sent my answers off but now I feel like it'll be nothing special compared to others

CONNECTIONS: Question 3
All of these artists had covers of their songs go top 40 in 2020. The Live Lounge Allstars covered Foo Fighters' Times Like These, Miley Cyrus covered Blondie's Heart Of Glass, Ritt Momney covered Corinne Bailey Rae's Put Your Records On, and Jübel covered Toploader's Dancing in the Moonlight (which is itself a cover, but I figured that's the one people would be familiar with!). Correctly answered (17): dandy*, n4yr, JulianT, AaronTM, RabbitFurCoat, rio309, xajnipi, Mangø, jimwatts, paulgilb, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, dan::G, Bjork, Jade, Suedehead2, Chez Wombat |

Ah kicking myself - should have got that.
Clutching at straws that they all sung about something space related - Sun, Atomic, Star, Moonlight.... |

Ahhhhhh I forgot that the Miley version of Heart of Glass went top 40, I was racking my brains for a song that sampled Blondie in some way. In the end I gave up as the other 3 seemed like too strong a connection to worry about it.

That awful 'Dancing In The Moonlight' cover becoming useful for something
Happy with how this whole first section went. I'm intrigued to see how many got the next one! |

CONNECTIONS: Question 4
In this music question, the songs were Afterglow by Wilkinson & Becky Hill, I Don't Care by Cheryl, Perfect by Fairground Attraction, and Beautiful People by Chris Brown & Benny Benassi. The connection is that they're also the titles of Ed Sheeran songs! Correctly answered (22): dandy*, chrissmith276, n4yr, JulianT, uptempo_owww!, AaronTM, RabbitFurCoat, rio309, Mangø, jimwatts, Soy Adrián, Doctor Blind, paulgilb, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, CJK, dan::G, Bjork, Jade, Suedehead2, LewisGT, Chez Wombat |

The third intro sounded so familiar but I couldn't work out what the song was even after I worked out the link Listening now it sounds really familiar, must've been from the days I listened to the radio a lot but paid no attention to the songs I wasn't really into!
