Love this song, Ty really suits the vibe in the song. The video is so stunning and pure art. The choreography was incredible.

And can we talk how brilliant the second song in the video was? Lyrically strong with her angelic vocals cheeseblock.png Can’t wait for album 2.

Ughhhh SO good to hear her voice again, a really strong start to the era wub.gif

It's called "Good Days" and it's available now. Features background vocals from Jacob Collier.

Another beauty! Can't wait for the album wub.gif

'Good Days' is beautiful wub.gif

Posted by: Klumpus 28th December 2020, 07:15 PM

really enjoying 'Good Days' so far! I love the instrumental of it heart.gif Also trying to revisit Hit Different as it didn't really click with me when released earlier this year!

Posted by: Santa Haus 30th December 2020, 10:19 PM

The production is very early SZA which makes me super excited for this album!

Good Days is so lush. The vocals, the instrumental, the lyrics are perfect wub.gif. I’m so glad that it is resonating with people. The song is currently up to #47 on UK Spotify. I think this could be her first solo hit here.

Posted by: Cremey 2nd January 2021, 09:51 AM

Can’t get enough of this, it’s exactly the kind of thing I love from SZA heart.gif

I liked Hit Different but it didn’t ever properly click with me like this has straight away. This is much more what I was hoping for, can’t wait to hear what else is to come from the album wub.gif

Posted by: Santa Haus 2nd January 2021, 10:37 AM

Shoots up into the top 50 on Spotify in the UK!

It honestly sounds like something out of 'SEE.SZA.RUN' or the 'S' EP and I am in love heart.gif

'Good Days' really is everything I wanted from her — stunning

Posted by: Santa Haus 3rd January 2021, 09:19 PM

Climbs again on Spotify and looking like it could become a genuine hit. Currently #3 on Spotify in the US ohmy.gif

I hope Radio 1 gets hold of it because it would sound beautiful on the waves.

This acoustic performance is just so magical. What a stunning voice this woman has, my goodness! wub.gif

Posted by: Santa Haus 5th January 2021, 10:24 PM

Continues to climb on the Spotify chart and looking like it could secure a top 40 place on Friday now. Keeping everything crossed that it manages it!

Posted by: Santa Haus 6th January 2021, 09:03 PM

#1 on US Spotify.

#1!!

Posted by: Klumzee 6th January 2021, 10:21 PM

Quite shocked by how well this is doing! #1 on US Spotify is mad and looking to be a UK top 40 hit this week is not what I ever imagined for her! Particularly with a track that stays true to her sound completely heart.gif

Posted by: Jαsє 6th January 2021, 10:28 PM

This is sublime wub.gif I'm pretty gobsmacked that it's looking like it could be a big hit ohmy.gif

Posted by: Santa Haus 8th January 2021, 04:31 PM

Debuts at #28 in the UK today!

Been supporting her since she first released music MANY years ago and seeing her natural growth through her childhood innocence (in SEE.SZA.RUN and the masterpieces of 'S' and 'Z') to discovering her voice (and achieving HUGE recognition (did someone say 4 Grammy noms?) with 'Ctrl') to this is such an incredible tale. I am so happy for her - she deserves it ALL!

Posted by: JackTheeStallion 8th January 2021, 04:33 PM

Yeah I'm thrilled this is looking to be SUCH a huge hit for her, especially that it really doesn't sound like the kind of thing that would typically be a hit either!

Everything is so gorgeous - her voice, the hopeful lyrics, the lush chilled production and backing vocals. She's really pulled it out of the bag with this one to create something really special.

Posted by: Cremey 8th January 2021, 04:41 PM

So great to see her doing so well with this! It's quite unexpected too, this is quite like a lot of her older stuff which I didn't think would have that much commercial appeal.
I'm glad she's going down this route though, her profile has been raised in the last couple of years and she easily could've gone much more commercial to make the most of it.

One of favourite songs at the moment wub.gif

3rd most streamed song in the US in its 2nd week on the chart! Currently #23 on the Hot 100.

In the UK, we are TOP 10 on Spotify (#7) and #15 in the mids!

Posted by: Klumzee 12th January 2021, 07:03 PM

Still crazy this is turning into a hit <3 I feel January can be a great time for some unexpected hits when the music market is so barren and people are actively looking for new music after ignoring it for a while!

This is Clara Amfo's tune of the week on R1 this week meaning it will get a play every day on her show! Sounded lush on the radio and got some really good feedback from listeners too! Scott Mills was also quite complimentary of it on the chart show when this is not his usual thing.

Posted by: Jade 15th January 2021, 11:01 AM

So this has really hit me harder than ever this morning! Gorgeous lyrics, production and vocals from both her and Jacob Collier.

"All the while, I'll await my armoured fate with a smile" heart.gif

Posted by: Bré 15th January 2021, 02:18 PM

Didn't know that was Jacob Collier providing the backing vocals, poor him not being credited!

This song has grown on me massively each time I have listened to it so far, really beautiful stuff. Tbh when 'Hit Different' came out I didn't realise the song in the outro of the music video was actually a different song, thought it was just a beat switch / outro part - I always thought that was the best 'part' of that song so oops that it actually turned out to not be part of it at all tearsmile.gif

Posted by: Santa Haus 20th January 2021, 10:06 AM

Top 10 on the Hot 100 (and 2nd most streamed songs of the week)!

She has also stated that the music video is coming soon. Her visuals are usually great so I am hyped for this one.

Posted by: UltraEvermore 29th January 2021, 05:55 PM

I just realised CTRL hit a new UK peak of 46 a couple weeks back! I never realised that didn't go top 40 upon release ohmy.gif cry.gif

Posted by: Jade 12th February 2021, 11:39 AM

I think I'm enjoying this more and more as the weeks roll by.

"Half of us chasin' fountains of youth and it's in the present now" heart.gif

It's done so well but I do wish it could achieve a top 10 peak here.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 5th March 2021, 11:38 PM

Video is finally out !

This is probably up there as one of my favourite songs of the year so far tbh not bored of it in the slightest yet wub.gif

Posted by: Juan Carlos 6th March 2021, 03:19 AM

The second song in the music video is called "Shirt".

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 6th March 2021, 10:10 AM

Just after it's gone to ACR, nicely timed!
