So a few things to look forward to this month.
A Night For The Emergency Services - December 20th - ITV at 9pm - Bridge Over Troubled Water Kennedy Centre's Honours - December 26th - CBS - All Night Long and Say You, Say Me (Tribute to Lionel Ritchie) Plus we have this Christmas Dinah duet coming. I hope they decide to launch the new music in January following the increased exposure she gets in December. She did say a couple months back she is "ready to come back with a vengeance!” Pics from Lionel Ritchie Tribute. This post has been edited by Dmdr: 6th December 2017, 06:56 PM |

Here's the duet she did with Dinah from 5H;
It's so good! Leona really needs to do a full on cover of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and release it *_* |

It is great to see her go for it vocally again, she isn't perfect or back to her prime (will she ever? probably not) but she still sounds incredible. Hopefully she'll continue this upward trend.
Also the rasp in the belt near the end was quite prominent? Do we think that is permanent damage? I didn't actually mind it, I liked its rawness. |

Think it was stylistic - similar to when she does the big ending in "Thunder", not to do with damage. It was a sustained C#5 and she did them crystal clear when she sang "Memory" night after night in cats and has done plenty of C5 sustained without that rasp. Plus she did the sustained D5 in "Oh Holy Night" in a private gig a month or so ago without rasp. The Eb5 sustained in the same performance had no rasp either. |

Amazing, second half she really smashed it.
Loved that raspy bit in the big note, shes always so clean with her notes but loved that little raspy bit - fantastic performance. Probably the best she has ever looked too, unbelievably beautiful. This post has been edited by Karma: 20th December 2017, 10:17 PM |

I can't stand "Bridge Over Troubled Water" but Leona sounds great on that performance of it, especially the note around 3:20 - the crowd loved it! Obviously it was a great choice of song given that she performed on the Grenfell single this year.
The Lionel medley is really good too and I agree with the previous poster about her confidence, she really has come so far in the last ten years Also, congratulations to the Leona forum for becoming Buzzjack's #1 artist forum this week! I'm looking forward to seeing even more from Leona next year and hopefully her fifth album |

Great performances from Leona. She comes across so comfortable on stage now which is refreshing to see. Really looking forward to seeing what she delivers next year.

I LOOOOOOOVED her Kennedy Centers performance. Her breath control is terrific. Anyone know her technique? I'm blown a way. Such a fantastic treat!

Leona will be a mentor on Jennifer Hudsons' team on The Voice UK next month.
Hope this leads to a promo spot during the lives. |
