The nominees were:
Tom Hooper "The King's Speech"

What were your favourites? What was unfairly snubbed? Who shouldn't have even been here in the first place?

Here are some of the other nominees from major awards from the same year:
Golden Globes
David Fincher "The Social Network"
Darren Aronofsky "Black Swan"
David O. Russell "The Fighter"
Tom Hooper "The King's Speech"
Christopher Nolan "Inception"

BAFTAS
David Fincher "The Social Network"
Darren Aronofsky "Black Swan"
Tom Hooper "The King's Speech"
Christopher Nolan "Inception"
Danny Boyle "127 Hours"

1 Darren Aronofsky "Black Swan"
2 Tom Hooper "The King's Speech"
3 David O. Russell "The Fighter"
4 David Fincher "The Social Network"

Even though I love the film, Tom Hooper was a bit of a weak winner as there really isn't all that much special about his direction or vision and there were much more interesting directors this year imo. Aronofsky managed to make Black Swan a rollercoaster of emotions and the film would not have been the same without him behind it. Christopher Nolan would have made a great winner too as Inception is fantastic but he wasn't even nominated sad.gif I'd have probably picked Danny Boyle as a nominee like the BAFTAs did, it's not easy to make a film set in basically one place so enthralling.

As usual, here's my winners:
Best Picture: Black Swan
Best Director: Darren Aronofsky "Black Swan"
Best Actor: Colin Firth "The King's Speech"
Best Actress: Natalie Portman "Black Swan"
Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale "The Fighter"
Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo "The Fighter"
Best Original Screenplay: Inception
Best Adapted Screenplay: 127 Hours
Best Animated Feature Film: How to Train Your Dragon
Best Original Score: The Social Network
Best Original Song: "I See the Light" from Tangled
Best Art Direction: Alice In Wonderland
Best Cinematography: Black Swan
Best Makeup and Hairstyling: -
Best Costume Design: Alice in Wonderland
Best Film Editing: The Social Network
Best Visual Effects: Inception

4 - Black Swan
2 - The Fighter
2 - Inception
2 - The Social Network
2 - Alice in Wonderland
1 - 127 Hours
1 - The King's Speech
1 - How to Train Your Dragon
1 - Tangled

Silly that Tangled wasn't nominated for Animated Feature tbh. I feel kinda bad giving The Kids Are All Right no wins either because it is fab but it's probably second place in all the categories laugh.gif

Darren Aronofsky really was robbed.

Much as he is a raging shit c**t, David O Russell's direction was also much better than the winner.
