'With or Without You' sold an estimated 280k in 1987, so its total is just over 700k (with streams, I think this could comfortably be passed 800k).

Unless I'm missing something, Boyzone's Platinum selling 'When the Going Gets Tough' should appear here.

p.s Moloko were only half Irish - the other half are English, so shouldn't really count....

Unless I'm missing something, Boyzone's Platinum selling 'When the Going Gets Tough' should appear here. And Picture Of You/Baby Can I Hold You, seeing as a U2 song from 1997 is included. Also, B*Witched's To You I Belong is missing, pretty sure that outsold Blame It On The Weatherman. |

Take out U2 and that's a horrific list, bar a handful!
they should have included older sales, like errr Dana, The Bacholers, Val Doonican and so on... errr maybe not! I suspect the great Irish acts wouldnt appear on a sales basis... |

p.s Moloko were only half Irish - the other half are English, so shouldn't really count.... The Time Is Now is a better Moloko song than Sing It Back for me, wish it would have made the list instead of the overrated Sing it Back, also it definitely sounds like Clean Bandit were influenced by The Time Is Now with its whole orchestral influenced dance sound so it was ahead of its time! |
