This semi wasn't bad, four songs that I really loved and seven more that I liked a lot. On the whole, the dance entries in this semi were probably stronger (I voted for four there I think but they'd make up the majority of my would-be vote here).

Well, based on my shitty point system I managed to cut down the 28 songs to vote for to...20.
Great semi, my 11-15. are really point-worthy, I'm not happy that I can't support them  (+I'm not happy that 2 of my top 3 are predicted to DNQ...)The dance bloc is in danger, there's no way that this many dance entries could be through. |

There are 5 songs currently in my +7 to +3 range that I can barely separate i.e. I like them all pretty much exactly the same. So advance apologies if a point here or there ends up proving costly!

Just finishing up my listenthrough, quite strong I think? A nice variety of genres in there.
Zanmatony's entry is a complete bop! Although the lyrics seem to arrive without a trace of irony :') tamagotchis rise up! Also a bit  that Declan McKenna appears, I'd never consider him for BJSC but Humongous is a fantastic track and hopefully lots of people discover him, his discography is worth checking out! Is it an anniversary entry?As for me I'm hopefully I'll break my DNQ streak and qualify with Breathing, typical that it's placed right next to the song that it sounds most similar to in this semi (Aquafina)

^ yes, 'Humongous' is Pete's 50th! (I really hope it won't get slept on in the contest, I'm not too sure what to expect from it but hearing it again for the first time in years in the semi 2 listenthrough it's an even better song than I remember it being, easily a highlight of the semi).
Am going to do a relisten (of semi 1, oops wrong thread for this comment x) in just a moment and send over my votes - from my first listenthrough the other day it's definitely the weaker semi this month, I had exactly 10 songs I wanted to vote for though so I'm not quite scraping for votes (and my top 3 are all extremely strong), hope some more will grow on me with a second listen. Semi 2 on the other hand has at least 14 vote worthy songs on first listen and a few others that I expect will be growers as well! |

Finally voted. After being underwhelmed overall on first listen, a few grew on me including my Top 2 which ended up on replay through the week.
Although Poor Brave Tartford are surely doomed, if anyone wants to throw a few pity points our way please do feel free
