Czech radio stations love "Angels Like You" it was a number one for few weeks in the airplay chart and it's still there at 42 in its 96th week (while "Flowers" is number one for 8th week)

Aside from the 4 southeast Asian countries it's been charting in for a while, it's only otherwise re-entered in one other country (low top 200 in the UAE of all places), so still no sign of it being any more than a very highly concentrated regional trend.

Those are the 4 countries I meant - 'for a while' meaning the last few weeks (I know it's been there for longer in Indonesia/Malaysia than the other two but my point was in the weeks since it started getting big in the Philippines and Singapore as well it hasn't yet been notably catching on anywhere else). Having said that I've just checked again and realised I missed one - it did briefly rechart in the low top 200 in Norway last week as well which seems a little bit more of a promising sign that its revival may eventually spread into the 'west'. The cutoff for the daily top 200 in the US right now is 255k, so it could be doing say 200k per day there (which would be a large chunk of the 'other' 750k) while still not being particularly close to charting. I do wish it was possible to get the breakdown of what countries global streams are coming from. |
