1.6 million tuned in for the final.

A tweet shared by production company Endemol Shine revealed: "Last night's CBB final was no 1 in its time slot for 16-34s - an incredible +237% on C5's slot average for 16-34 share. Up +23% on last winter's CBB final and +10% on last summers

I heard that they’re apparently discussing the future of the show on Thursday.

They must be very pleased with the ratings. 1.6m for the final is higher than both Summer 17 and Winter 18 Finale.

As a fan i naturally look at it from a biased aspect.
With that said, there is no denying there is still an appetite and audience for the show.
Whats more, is that it is one of (if not the) Channel 5's highest rated shows.
I rarely watch Channel 5 but i always tune in for Big Brother.
I think the channel is making a huge mistake if they don't continue with it.

I think it's only Jane McDonald stuff that gets more viewers, at least regularly, there is probably others but not many shows. I have absolutely no idea how Ben Frow thinks it's a good idea to axe it, I know it costs more than say Jane McDonald on a cruise ship or filming people on benefits, but christ. You can't imagine any other channel just axing their biggest show without an alternative when it has a new lease of life and is going so well. I get if the presenter or star quits or something or it's a drama that has run its course but what will they fill it with? He was on about original ideas yet what do we get, that awful Love Island rip-off that was on during last summer's BB, and Sun Sex & Suspicious Parents: Girlfriend Edition drama.gif I know they're bringing the Bachelor back too which works in the US and Aus and is very popular but no doubt C5 are just using the romance angle to jump on the Love Island bandwagon.

I'd be very much up for them moving True Love or True Lies from MTV to C5 if they're looking for a replacement show seeing as they're now a part of the same family. It was a great format for MTV and Danny Dyer had me in creases with his voiceover but I'm more keen for CBB to just stay put tbh
