Bring me my ROTD autoqualifiers And make them good ones please.
Is this gonna be James' first EVER presentation?
It will be *.* This will be kicking off Tomorrow night with Seven Giving the first set of commentary on the first few songs.
Timing will be at his discretion so everyone watch out for it
So excited for this, good songs to slay hopefully
71 659 Rachel Platten - Stand By You (59-34-30-25-25-26-34-38-34-33-32-34-31-31-49-42-...) [16+ wks]
72 658 Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth - See You Again (36-11-10-5-8-10-14-18-31-42-55-57-45-64-xx) [14 wks]
73 651 Florence + the Machine - What Kind of Man (27-10-11-13-10-10-12-16-23-35-44-50-xx) [12 wks]
74 651 Ed Sheeran & Rudimental - Bloodstream (39-23-20-16-9-7-10-14-19-29-39-45-67-xx) [13 wks]
75 645 David Guetta feat. Emeli Sandé - What I Did For Love (...-37-50-44-35-38-38-34-42-18-16-17-18-26-45-49-65-xx) [16 wks]
Kicking off proceedings is "What I Did For Love" by David Guetta & Emeli Sandé, which was really nothing more than a warm-up for the proper return of Queen Sandé in 2016 *.* (currently taking bookings for a back garden near you). Ed Sheeran's "Bloodstream" reached the Top 10 thanks to a D&B twist from Rudimental, and Florence + The Machine finally returned, with the majestic "What Kind Of Man" managing a few non-consecutive weeks at #10. Wiz Khalifa's mix of hip hop and soapy balladry on "See You Again" reached a #5 peak on the Multi, as you'd expect not quite as much of a force as in the UK charts, and then we have Rachel Platten with "Stand By You" (a.k.a. Fight Song Pt II, Slightly Improved Edition), which reached a top 25 peak, floating around for a while (most likely as it was premiered back in September but wasn't pushed in the UK until the end of the year, you'll see a few similar examples of this to come later on in the countdown~)
Slay!!
Sorry to say it though but I not a fan of any of them. Oops.
I like all five of those songs but don't love any oops. Florence, Rachel, Charlie and Guetta all had better songs last year!
I wish Stand By You would have had a bigger fan base on here like RAWM
not big on any of those - even Guetta's, whilst listenable and good I didn't love it and it didn't do much in my chart
Liking these four
On the contrary, I like all of them in that section! Though Stand By You is leaps and bounds ahead of the other four, beautiful song
"What I Did For Love" probably had the highest burn rate for any Guetta song, oop.
66 704 Brandon Flowers - Can't Deny My Love (28-15-13-10-9-12-15-13-16-19-25-40-69-xx) [13 wks]
67 703 David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack - Hey Mama (74-49-34-16-8-12-9-9-7-13-20-33-44-56-60-69-xx) [16 wks]
68 686 James Bay - Hold Back the River (...-49-52-46-47-66-69-56-39-30-22-22-23-19-19-20-35-32-52-61-xx) [18 wks]
69 675 G.R.L. - Lighthouse (13-9-8-12-11-20-20-18-14-21-32-59-xx) [12 wks]
70 670 Olly Murs feat. Demi Lovato - Up (...-3-3-3-4-6-9-13-23-38-48-60-48-60-xx) [13 wks]
Olly and Demi scrape in at #70 with their very nice collab, "Up". Not bad considering the beginning of its chart run was in 2014 and therefore not included here. This is Olly’s only appearance in the countdown but Demi has one or two more still to come. G.R.L. failed to match the Multichart success of "Ugly Heart", which peaked at #2 and was #6 in last year’s EOY…"Lighthouse" was off to a very strong start but stalled at #8 and failed to reach the official UK top 40, a huge shame considering the circumstances. "Hold Back The River", on the other hand, benefits from a very slow climb on the official charts with a long run here as well despite only peaking at #19. It could have done even better but a certain Cody Slayberry forgot to include it in his chart. David Guetta appears again at #67 with "Hey Mama", which was a poor effort for everyone involved. Bebe Rexha missed her chance to disown the track before she was given her belated feature credit. I’d call #66 an impressive result for Brandon Flowers with "Can’t Deny My Love", the lead single from his long-awaited second solo album. It peaked at #9 while two of his other singles reached #20 and #44, a remarkable feat for any rock artist in a sea of female pop!
I never forgot
"Hey Mama" actually in this chart I consider it very underrated.
Hey Mama is by far and away my favourite Guetta song tbh!
Lots of love for Lighthouse and ESPECIALLY Hold Back the River
Amazing to see Lighthouse top 75, a beautiful and heartbreaking song which is in my top 5 from last year
James Bay doing remarkably well here
Ah that section is more like it
Up could be in Ollys top 3 best singles for Me. It's just so catchy and one of the few instances where I've actually liked Demi in the past year :/
Lighthouse is okay I guess. It was a nice gesture from the band but the song was really not too interesting.
another five songs here without any help from me then, well hopefully this means all the good songs are still to come.
All of these are good except Hey Mama.
What Kind Of Man is so underrated, the second best song of 2015 for me.
61 735 Pia Mia feat. Chris Brown & Tyga - Do It Again (38-24-17-14-10-10-11-13-11-17-25-32-43-66-74-xx) [15 wks]
62 731 Demi Lovato - Confident (59-49-61-49-30-27-24-16-17-19-18-16-20-36-39-35-68-xx-54-...) [18+ wks]
63 721 Delta Goodrem - Wings (37-26-20-14-18-16-19-20-27-42-43-39-33-41-46-54-xx) [16 wks]
64 713 Justin Bieber - Sorry (15-4-3-4-4-3-3-3-6-2-...) [10+ wks]
65 709 Shawn Mendes - Stitches (67-53-60-63-xx-71-58-63-54-40-42-56-46-30-26-50-43-48-28-23-16-15-11-...) [22+ wks]
A section which is extremely tailored to my own taste now, and I promise you it's a coincidence! Shawn Mendes' Stitches had a huuuge chart run before it even cracked the top 10, which it has since done in 2016, so I wouldn't be shocked to see it appear in next year's EOY too! I think we all know by now how much I love it anyway. Justin Bieber's Sorry became an unlucky #2, behind Adele's Hello. It's not Justin's highest appearance either! Surprisingly making the top 75 is Delta Goodrem with Wings. Despite this being a #1 hit in her homeland Australia, Delta's still seen as a has-been in the UK with her last hit being in 2005. Wings is an upbeat pop song with dance elements, plus Delta's trademark piano. Former pop mod Ryan makes an appearance with his debut hit Confident at #62 Seriously though, despite not making the top 10, Confident was a very long runner for Demi, earning her spot here! And finally, sneaking two weeks at #10 during last year was Pia Mia with her breakthrough smash Do It Again, a great slice of urban-pop which even makes Chris Brown sound decent
61 735 Pia Mia feat. Chris Brown & Tyga - Do It Again (38-24-17-14-10-10-11-13-11-17-25-32-43-66-74-xx) [15 wks]
62 731 Demi Lovato - Confident (59-49-61-49-30-27-24-16-17-19-18-16-20-36-39-35-68-xx-54-...) [18+ wks]
64 713 Justin Bieber - Sorry (15-4-3-4-4-3-3-3-6-2-...) [10+ wks]
65 709 Shawn Mendes - Stitches (67-53-60-63-xx-71-58-63-54-40-42-56-46-30-26-50-43-48-28-23-16-15-11-...) [22+ wks]
67 703 David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack - Hey Mama (74-49-34-16-8-12-9-9-7-13-20-33-44-56-60-69-xx) [16 wks]
68 686 James Bay - Hold Back the River (...-49-52-46-47-66-69-56-39-30-22-22-23-19-19-20-35-32-52-61-xx) [18 wks]
70 670 Olly Murs feat. Demi Lovato - Up (...-3-3-3-4-6-9-13-23-38-48-60-48-60-xx) [13 wks]
AYWM
Amazing that Adele got the highest score she possibly could here, 75 points a week for every week at #1! I wonder how she would have done if this was calculated by weekly points totals instead, it depends which system is more advantageous for songs released late in the year.
51 790 Calvin Harris feat. HAIM - Pray to God (…-63-67-xx-63-41-36-20-11-8-7-5-7-6-8-14-39-51-57-xx) [16 wks]
52 784 Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney - FourFiveSeconds (17-7-7-6-6-5-7-9-7-14-33-47-41-74-xx) [14 wks]
53 781 KDA feat. Tinie Tempah & Katy B - Turn the Music Louder (Rumble) (70-52-22-4-3-3-5-5-6-12-14-22-32-33-...) [14+ wks]
54 776 Naughty Boy feat. Beyoncé & Arrow Benjamin - Runnin' (Lose It All) (24-8-7-5-6-6-9-18-27-26-24-33-55-58-58-...) [15+ wks]
55 766 Zedd feat. Selena Gomez - I Want You To Know (43-39-35-25-24-25-12-25-23-31-40-61-xx-73-49-43-45-38-43-48-46-62-xx) [21 wks]
So now for 55-51. Zedd & Selena Gomez unleashed their cure for insomnia "I Want You To Know"- the song was sitting at #25 one week before bouncing up to a #12 peak (hilariously stalling outside of the top ten), and then fell right back to #25 the next week Naughty Boy found a successful comeback with "Runnin' (Lose It All)" peaking at #5, while the vocal mix of KDA's "Rumble" with Tinie Tempah & Katy B managed a number of weeks in the Top 5. We have two more #5 hits to round out the section; Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney with their drunken campfire singalong "FourFiveSeconds", and also "Pray To God" which featured vocals from MUSICAL LEGENDS HAIM *.*
Hozier, 45Seconds and Hello (even if Hello got maximum points) out already strike me as the biggest shocks (and then as I'm fully thinking in terms of ROTD, some obvious first round qualifiers).
Great to see Pray To God as high as #51, the best Calvin's done in the past 18 months (by virtue of the presence of the musical legends).
All of these from #60 to #51 are good, except FourFiveSeconds
Hozier has a massive chart run all in all, only roughly half of its run was in 2015!
46 826 Avicii - Waiting For Love (34-24-23-21-22-25-17-13-14-12-15-25-35-34-33-54-65-xx) [17 wks]
47 824 Sia - Alive (17-9-6-5-7-11-15-25-33-45-18-15-17-17-...) [14+ wks]
48 821 Nick Jonas - Jealous (51-46-xx-66-52-60-xx-74-59-52-10-5-6-6-10-9-15-23-24-30-57-59-62-xx) [21 wks]
49 805 Sigma feat. Ella Henderson - Glitterball (75-63-55-33-38-28-20-10-7-6-9-13-19-24-24-35-46-58-xx) [18 wks]
50 795 Tinie Tempah feat. Jess Glynne - Not Letting Go (69-55-19-6-4-2-5-5-10-13-17-26-27-40-47-xx) [15 wks]
Kicking off the top 50 now with "Not Letting Go", which is finally Jess Glynne's first appearance here. This was approximately the 14th UK #1 for both her and Tinie Tempah, and I'm pretty sure reaching #2 here is Tinie's career best, on the Multichart at least! At #49 is another collab, Sigma and Ella "Poor hen" Henderson. You'd be surprised to see that "Glitterball" only reached #6, as Ella was much more popular here before she got dropped [/oldjoke]. Nick Jonas is at #48 with "Jealous", which was famously blocked from the UK #1 by Jess Glynne and those pathetic Nick J haters. Sia is at #47 with "Alive", which peaked early then had another boost later on following an X Factor performance. And we have Avicii's "Waiting For Love" at #46, with a #12 peak to match the number of weeks it was #1 on Dan's chart. Don't be waiting for "The Nights" because it didn't make the top 75.
I definitely didn't expect Waiting For Love so high!
Sadly, Nick J hasn't defeated the horrible woman here either :')
Avicii doing quite well
Waiting For Love slaying lives *.*
I am withholding everything in my power that makes me want to strangle Seven right now
Avicii stealing Yo weaves since Forever. YASS in so glad it's done really well. I'm partly responsible for that though I mean look at my own chart run for it that is still continuing at present
How did I miss #61-#65!! All incredible bar Sorry (and contributed to all 4 quite a bit also!)
Hello, Lips Are Movin, Glitterball
Glitterball is amazing! Alive and Not Letting Go are also great! And Jealous is good too.
Waiting For Love is godawful though
I'm actually surprised at how low Adele is despite all those weeks at #1.
Probably its shorter run than the songs above it.
41 877 Taylor Swift - Blank Space (...-1-2-2-2-4-4-11-13-22-18-25-24-32-50-60-69-xx) [16 wks]
42 877 Charli XCX feat. Rita Ora - Doing It (20-12-10-5-3-7-10-14-11-13-16-32-51-56-60-xx) [15 wks]
43 854 Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me (62-60-61-63-36-36-29-13-6-5-4-5-6-10-22-26-39-50-57-xx) [19 wks]
44 842 The Weeknd - The Hills (68-52-45-48-48-61-59-52-57-41-30-13-13-13-13-12-17-23-25-41-52-47-xx) [22 wks]
45 832 Charlie Puth feat. Meghan Trainor - Marvin Gaye (68-62-39-28-26-23-25-25-23-10-12-13-18-25-30-38-43-51-63-66-xx) [20 wks]
LET'S MARVIN GAYE AND GET IT ON. The love/hate track by Charlie Puth just about made the multichart top 10 last year and had a very lengthy chart run, not being far off the top 40 EOY in the end! It also marks Meghan Trainor's highest position. The Weeknd makes two appearances in the countdown and the first of which is here. The Hills took a long time to get going both in the official chart and the multichart, but it ends up here as the second highest non-top 10 hit! Jason Derulo's Want To Want Me is the second UK #1 to appear in this section, and finishes in a respectable 43rd EOY, peaking at #4. A collaboration that excited me was Charli XCX and Rita Ora, and it definitely didn't disappoint for me. It seems Buzzjack agrees, it peaked at #3 and spent 15 weeks in the chart, 11 of which were in the top 20 from its debut. Rounding out the section is the second multichart #1 to appear. Blank Space had most of its chart run take place in 2014 so it's at a slight disadvantage compared to other #1s but nonetheless gets very close to the top 40! Taylor has three more songs to appear, which probably won't surprise anyone.
Taylor Swift doing well in the BuzzJack Multichart
'The Hills' is easily the best in that section, and it finished nearly the same in my EOY also (#47).
Blank Space is really the only big fave from that section
I wonder how "Blank Space" has done on the all time charts with its points total all added up
Blank Space finishing so low though!! WHY GOD WHY!!
31 977 Madonna - Ghosttown (65-30-31-43-38-50-54-64-60-47-46-34-21-14-13-9-8-7-12-16-21-34-56-64-xx) [24 wks]
32 969 Sia - Elastic Heart (12-5-3-3-2-2-5-7-10-12-20-23-21-37-50-39-72-xx) [17 wks]
33 929 Foxes - Body Talk (34-22-24-18-17-18-8-6-5-8-9-10-21-27-29-42-65-xx) [17 wks]
34 925 Years & Years - Eyes Shut (47-43-xx-65-58-xx-70-xx-48-29-31-19-18-14-13-7-7-6-7-11-12-14-...) [19+ wks]
35 924 Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood (9-2-1-1-2-2-2-3-8-16-16-25-25-40-65-75-xx) [16 wks]
At 35 is Taylor's "Bad Blood", with the help of a fancy all-star video and most importantly the power of Kingdrick Lamar, it was boosted to the #1 spot for two weeks. Years & Years grab a decent-sized Top 10 hit here with "Eyes Shut", and Foxes goes one slot better with her single "Body Talk". At 32 is Sia's "Elastic Heart", with the help of a fancy video and the power of Shia LaBeouf, it was boosted to the #2 spot for two weeks. Then we have Madonna's "Ghosttown" at #31, which uhh.....had a pretty lengthy run I guess~
I have never heard of that Madonna song before in my life but it's going to be in the ROTD 2015 final. Over 'On My Mind'. That's just... incredible.
(although actually now I look at it Eyes Shut will be put into 2016 because that's when its peak is so On My Mind is actually saved there)
Ghosttown, Elastic Heart, Body Talk and especially Bad Blood are all incredible
Body Talk is one of Foxes' best!
Eyes Shut is great too. The Sam Feldt remix
Unfortunately my recollection of Ghost Town was overshadowed by how bad Bitch I'm Madonna was
26 1018 Rachel Platten - Fight Song (72-xx-74-xx-40-26-23-37-35-32-31-24-24-26-20-15-12-14-13-14-28-36-36-39-59-xx) [23 wks]
27 1017 Madonna - Living For Love (...-24-16-13-14-16-25-14-8-8-5-6-6-8-14-22-34-56-62-xx) [18 wks]
28 1007 Little Mix - Love Me Like You (12-2-1-1-2-2-2-2-2-4-4-6-8-9-...) [14+ wks]
29 1003 Galantis - Peanut Butter Jelly (62-46-29-20-14-14-11-5-4-6-6-4-9-13-19-35-40-53-xx) [18 wks]
30 990 Walk The Moon - Shut Up And Dance (37-35-18-12-13-11-6-3-3-6-9-15-19-18-36-41-44-55-xx) [19 wks]
YASS at getting to introduce my favorite song on this countdown, Walk The Moon's "Shut Up And Dance" which peaked at #3 and is #30 here. At #29 is the brilliant "Peanut Butter Jelly" from Galantis, the irresistible ode to the best sandwich ever invented. Next at #28 is Little Mix with "Love Me Like You", which snuck in two weeks atop the Multichart just before Adele claimed the #1 for the rest of the year. Also in this section is Madonna WHO FELL DURING THE BRIT AWARDS but safely lands at #27 with the otherwise forgettable "Living For Love". Rachel Platten is the highest song here to miss the Multichart top 10, but a 23-week run for "Fight Song", a bit of a surprise UK #1, gives it a respectable year-end spot at #26.
Where Are U Now and Hotline Bling are utterly awful.
Never Forget You, Eyes Shut, Body Talk, Elastic Heart, Peanut Butter Jelly, Love Me Like You and Fight Song are all great though!
Fight Song and PBJ sad that Stand By You flopped on here as well though. Cmon guys you're supposed to support chart flops
LMLY is a great track too and I quite like SUAD
21 1051 Kelly Clarkson - Heartbeat Song (50-9-8-6-6-6-2-3-3-4-6-11-13-28-37-40-48-62-66-xx-61-xx) [20 wks]

24 1022 Jess Glynne - Don't Be So Hard On Yourself (63-36-24-22-17-15-11-7-2-1-2-5-8-10-19-28-36-45-71-xx) [19 wks]
25 1019 Justin Bieber - What Do You Mean? (26-8-4-7-6-4-8-7-12-19-22-30-19-22-28-46-46-35-...) [18+ wks]
At #25 we have the highest Justin Bieber song in the countdown, his monster hit What Do You Mean?, which was less of a monster hit in the multichart but still did pretty impressively, peaking at #4 and entering the top 10 in just its second week! Sadly, he's beaten by Jess "horrible woman" Glynne. Don't Be So Hard On Yourself isn't even her highest song here no all jokes aside, I like this song and it became her second solo multichart #1! My favourite 1989 single is at #23, Wildest Dreams sees Taylor Swift taking on a more Lana Del Rey sound. It seems Buzzjack liked it too as it spent three non-consecutive weeks at #3! BJSC winner Sigala is at #22 with the Jack 5 sampling Easy Love, and Kelly Clarkson just misses the top 20 with Heartbeat Song, not a Kelly favourite for me but it seems many still loved it and it spent 10 weeks top 10, with a peak of #2!
Great to see Easy Love do so well, a tune, in short
Had no idea how loved One Last Time was on here
I like CFMF but it doesn't sound that amazing for me?
No James No Cool For The Summer is by far the best Demi song
Good For You is my fave Selena song! Cool for the Summer is up with my fave Demi tracks too
Love Me, love my opinion tnx
James I am willing to overlook your Selegend shade for that BEAUTIFUL write up for HDIYL
Keep away from my Disney princesses James
I've really grown to like the cool rock backing and huge energy of Cool For The Summer after initially dismissing it.
11 1220 Jess Glynne - Hold My Hand (37-29-26-19-11-9-4-2-1-1-1-2-3-7-11-22-26-33-36-50-65-67-66-xx) [23 wks]
12 1216 Carly Rae Jepsen - I Really Like You (58-9-8-5-4-3-2-3-3-2-2-3-5-7-10-18-38-43-32-49-xx) [20 wks]
13 1206 Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk (…-2-1-1-1-1-2-3-5-9-9-8-16-18-22-29-31-31-34-66-60-56-61-xx) [24 wks]
14 1175 Taylor Swift - Style (48-47-33-31-26-20-9-4-4-4-3-3-5-6-9-19-21-15-25-35-54-xx) [21 wks]
15 1136 Omi - Cheerleader (...-72-36-37-32-37-39-46-xx-74-xx-41-11-8-11-9-5-5-7-14-15-12-19-30-30-63-63-53-72-xx) [26 wks]
Felix Jaehn's remix of Omi's "Cheerleader" was a tailor-made summer hit, huge #1 in the UK and a solid Top 5 in the Multichart. Taylor Swift's best single to date "Style" lands at #14 on the countdown, peaking at #3 earlier in the year. Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" first hit #1 at the end of 2014, but obviously too late to make an impact in the 2014 EOY. It added a further 4 weeks to its tally in 2015 though, and reaches #13 on this year's list. Carly Rae Jepsen's comeback single went down a storm, reaching a #2 peak on the multi. Despite "I Really Like You" being the era's only proper UK hit, Buzzjack preferred another of Carly Rae's E•MO•TION singles, no prizes for guessing which~ Jess Glynne's "Hold My Hand" rounds off this section at #11, the track that firmly established her as a solo chart force- the song managed 3 weeks at #1 on both the UK and Multi charts!
10 1226 Years & Years - Shine (40-26-20-17-14-12-7-4-2-2-2-2-4-8-11-15-20-24-39-47-66-64-xx) [22 wks]
Believe it or not, we have a fair share of male artists in the top 10, the first of which being BBC Sound of 2015 winners Years & Years. "Shine" was technically the fifth single from their debut album Communion, all released prior to the album. It's better known as the follow-up to their UK #1 single, "King". "Shine" nearly reached #1 as well, falling less than 1000 copies short of David Zowie's "House Every Weekend", but managed two more weeks in the runner-up slot and in the end outsold Mr. Zowie by a wide margin. It also spent four weeks at #2 on the Multichart, at one point only 25 points behind Little Mix's "Black Magic". So quite a bit of bad luck or bad timing, but an impressive finish here in the year-end top 10!
What a dreadful start to the top 10
Massive surprise there, but a brilliant one. Shine is one of the best songs of last year.
9 1236 Tove Lo - Talking Body (58-41-46-45-42-43-44-53-68-63-58-46-35-15-13-7-4-3-2-4-4-6-11-17-32-33-38-62-xx) [28 wks]
It's not a surprise that Buzzjack loves a Swedish female pop artist, but Talking Body did pretty damn well even considering that. It became a sizeable UK hit despite "only" peaking at #17, and got as high as #2 on the multichart! Tove's now had three hits in the UK, the other two being Stay High and Heroes (we could be). This I believe is her highest peaking song on the multichart though. Tove has recently collaborated with Years & Years for the new single mix of Desire, maybe that will impact next year's EOY?
Great track but the Timebomb love lacks
Talking Body is great
7 1313 Kygo feat. Conrad Sewell - Firestone (...-68-42-36-xx-53-65-47-44-59-48-41-37-26-12-8-5-4-4-5-11-12-14-18-23-20-33-32-35-40-59-67-xx) [30 wks]
Here with #7 (purely a mad coincidence I assure you), and it's Kygo's slow-burning (rofl!!) breakthrough hit "Firestone" featuring vocals from Joseph fave Conrad Sewell, this track eventually made it to #4 and spent 30 weeks inside the Top 75. He's had some decent follow-up efforts but nothing that reaches the magic of Firestone in my opinion!
Conrad one of the most underrated artists of the past year for sure. Firestone is not quite as good as Hold Me Up and Start Again but it's still glorious, I love Kygo's instrumental just as much as Conrad's vocals. So glad it was a big multichart smash!
#7 is an excellent result for an excellent song
6 1341 Galantis - Runaway (U & I) (58-58-68-xx-65-39-29-27-16-16-13-6-4-4-3-3-4-3-4-8-12-19-24-32-37-44-53-63-xx) [27 wks]
Originally a BJSC top-3 hit in January of last year, 'Runaway (U & I)' by Swedish duo Galantis later became a top 3 hit on the Multichart once it was released in the UK and reached #4 officially. There was a lot of love for it on Buzzjack so its place at #6 comes as no surprise, but personally I was not a fan of this song.
Two brilliant dance songs back to back, ty Buzzjack
Album's great too
5 1408 Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do (6-3-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-3-4-7-9-15-17-20-22-24-48-xx) [21 wks]
Recorded for the Fifth Shades of Grey movie, Ellie Goulding's Love Me Like You Do was always destined to be a huge smash from its very strong pre-order showing, even being brought forward a few weeks to capitalise more on demand. On the multichart, it made a strong impression too, debuting almost in the top 5, and spending a whopping 8 weeks at #1! The track also served as the lead single from third album Delirium, although it was several months before follow-up and proper introduction to the album On My Mind arrived.
Firestone and Runaway were two of the year's absolute highlights, glad Buzzjack agrees with me.
Got a certain song in mind for the win, hope it can have done it. I can only think of that and another for what's left though, I'm missing a couple.
Brilliant song it not often I follow the crowd.
3 1457 Fifth Harmony feat. Kid Ink - Worth It (66-67-62-x-70-58-46-38-29-27-27-29-25-27-16-18-16-10-9-5-3-3-5-7-13-23-28-29-30-40-41-56-66-xx-62-xx) [33 wks]
My final commentary of this 2015 countdown, and boy is it a doozy As what was surely a response to Buzzjack's new year charity single "All I Want for 2015 is a Ringing Migraine", Fifth Harmony happily stepped up to the plate with "Worth It". It hung around like a putrid smell for a while before soaring up once the UK release finally came around. They appear to be somewhat allergic to the #1 spot though- in a hilarious turn of events the song stalled at #3 on the official chart AND the Multichart, and misses out again on the Multi End Of Year by charting in at......#3
Was Talk Dirty or Problem this high in their respective years
Both of which are much better songs imo.
I don't know about Talk Dirty but Problem was #7 last year ~
and considering the gender of Jason Derulo, 'Talk Dirty' was probably a lot lower...
I just looked back, "Talk Dirty" was #61 on the still-unfinished(!) 2013 End Of Year
But yes Talk Dirty was basically the original Worth It, except actually enjoyable
2 1468 Carly Rae Jepsen - Run Away With Me (40-20-16-12-7-9-10-6-5-6-5-4-8-5-5-6-10-10-14-22-33-37-46-57-69-xx-70-52-...) [27+ wks]
It is, of course, unusual for a song to place higher in the EOY chart than it ever did in any week during the year, but 'Run Away With Me' is not just any song. Despite surely becoming one of the most-loved songs in Buzzjack history, a lack of support beyond Radio 1 and missing out on those all-important chart show plays kept Carly Rae Jepsen out of the top three on the Multichart, but her song was in the top 10 for 14 weeks--over half of its run (run! get it? omg Lamfoo). The end result is mightily impressive: over 30 songs did make the top 3 in 2015, but RAWM overtakes all but one of them to finish at #2 here. Even more impressive considering 'Call Me Maybe' was *only* #3 on the Multichart of 2012! So, many praises and WDs for Carly, but who's left, what song is Buzzjack's #1 of 2015??
I always wonder if RAWM would have done better as the campaign single than Electric?
So glad it made #2 here to make up for the general British public snubbing it
I agree. I am absolutely thrilled it's managed to hit #2 here. It's still top 15 on my own chart after 38 weeks so I guess you all know how I feel about it by now anyway
1 1497 Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat. MØ - Lean On (41-11-6-2-1-1-1-1-1-2-3-5-8-10-9-14-21-21-21-19-28-39-35-37-66-xx) [25 wks]
So here it is, your winner! It won by just under 30 points, not that comfortable really considering 30 points is achieved from a #46 placing, but you can't deny that Lean On is a truly deserving EOY #1 for the multichart! Five weeks at #1 and almost universally loved on the forum, in fact I've heard very few negative comments about the song in real life too, most people seem to really love this song and it's just proven further by its continued Spotify success worldwide. It was perhaps a shock hit, considering none of the artists involved had really had a huge hit in the past (the biggest being DJ Snake's Turn Down For What), going to show even further that it was selling and being streamed based on its own merit. Buzzjack seemed to agree anyway, entering the top 10 as soon as its third week on the chart, and spending 13 weeks there in total, just over half its run. Huge congrats to Major Lazer, DJ Snake and MØ, your multichart EOY #1!
What a winner! That is what I'd thought of, had no idea Run Away With Me had had such a big chart run on here because of its lack of hit status. Lean On is sure to go down as one of the greats, I've barely heard a bad word spoken against it either and it still sounds so fresh even now <3

Lean On is a brilliant winner It fully deserved all the praise it got.
Lean On, Run Away With Me, King, Love Me Like You Do, Runaway (You & I), Firestone, Black Magic, Talking Body and Shine are all great!
Worth It though Absolute horror of a song, I'm disgusted by the fact it's even in this countdown, let alone in third place.
Would struggle to think of a more satisfying winner than 'Lean On' . As Joseph said, it's always seemed that the song's universal and enduring appeal has been based very much on its own merits, with the collaboration of artists being far greater than the sum of its parts. Truly a groundbreaking track that hasn't approached feeling stale yet despite its huge exposure.
'Run Away With Me' is a great runner-up, if (dare I say it) a little overrated on here in general . I've never quite seen what's so overwhelmingly special about it, and definitely feel I'd enjoy it even more with a less sugary sweet-toned vocalist (oops), but that's just a matter of taste.
Had no idea 'Worth It' was THAT popular . Oh Buzzjack. :')
Yay for Tove and double Years & Years in the upper tier . Thanks Joseph, Jordan, James and Seven (Union J teas~) for all the work that went into putting this together!
