They haven't corrected the mistakes on the website and from previous experience they're probably not going to, so this is my best guess at next week's playlist. I'm pretty sure the A-list and C-list are correct, it's only the B-list that mistakenly hasn't been updated on the website from last week. But based on the number of songs on the A-list and C-list, I'm pretty confident this is how it looks.

As for Ed, I don't think they'd have known about the release in time - they posted this update on Monday which means they probably decided it over the weekend or even on Friday, and no one knew about Ed's surprise release until Sunday IIRC. So it won't make the official playlist until the 1st Jan, although they've definitely been playing it.

I'll keep an eye on their website though in case they update the playslist in the meantime!

Thank you for posting this! I had hoped that Biig Piig would be bumped up to the B list, although that doesn't seem likely now. Loving the additions of Declan, Arlo and You Me at Six, and it was about time they removed Positions and Sweet Melody. As someone who listens to Radio 1 almost all day, I really was getting sick of them (and most things in the A list, to be honest). Hoping for MEDUZA and Billie to be removed next week.

Farewell Ariana and Little Mix </3

Nothing to worry about with Taylor as ever, really glad to see You Me At Six here too and the Arlo Parks song is pretty nice.

omg this Claudia Valentina track! I feel like the universe is telling me I'm wrong to not be a fan of it! laugh.gif It's popping up everywhere! Happy to see Loski and RAYE climb. Taylor entering, which I'm surprised is this late as they have been playing the track already, and a Declan McKenna add seems very late! It seemed like it had some buzz upon the album release which has died down since so I'm guessing it's getting a second push? Great track regardless!

The current BJSC smash '4:15' as the introducing ohmy.gif

Great for Taylor going straight to A list. Not that it wouldn't be.

Regardless up to B List! heart.gif

Must be the last week for Paradise, Holiday and probably Daydreams too.

Hoping in the new year there could be dance additions for Billen Ted and Voost.

Also just wondered in case I missed it on a previous week, but was Liam Gallagher playlisted with his most recent single? unsure.gif

Liam has never been playlisted with any of his solo stuff.

It has only just been made an official "single" (whatever that term means these days) and got an official video etc. At the time of the album release 'Daniel You're Still A Child' was still the current single.

ah this does make sense now! I think I charted both of those one after another in my personal chart back in Autumn. Thank you! R1 love him so I reckon this will get to the A-List eventually.

Yeah I can see it getting to the A-list. It's easily one of the highlights of the album!

Glad positions has been removed but they could’ve at least added 69 in place. Oh well, hopefully that and Ed will be added next year

Does this playlist actually run from 25th-31st December? How if Radio 1 Anthems will be taking over all the daytime hours when these tracks would be played? Makes no sense. Are we discussing a playlist that will never happen?

No idea, we can only go by what they've published on the website. Maybe there won't be an update the following week and this playlist will run for two weeks?

Well Radio 1's head of music Chris Price should know this.
