Finishing in 4th place is the video for the masterpiece better known as 'Marry the Night'. "It's a succinct summary of Gaga's aesthetic, but the video itself is a sprawling epic, with the song preceded by several minutes of cheeky, artsy psycho-drama set in a mental health clinic. There's ballet, nudity, fashion from the future, French dialogue, cars on fire, a little bit of weeping, and lots and lots of dancing. Even compared to other Gaga video epics, this one seems particularly crazy and ambitious." Gaga directed the video, which is over 13 minutes in length. Explaining what video is about, she commented: "I know how rejection feels in the business. I got signed, I got dropped, I got signed again. That's actually what the 'Marry the Night' video is about. It's about one of the most horrible days of my life when I got dropped from my first record label and it's the story of what happened that day." It's a huge triumph in every way. It's one one of her greatest ever songs and it truly deserved a memorable and epic visual. What she gave us went beyond what I ever imagined.  ============================ 04. Gotta say Bad Romance because the other two are clearly her best by far. The visuals, concept, execution. Everything is perfect. But I think the song will come into play for sure as Telephone is HATED over here lmao

Not as grand as the other two. Good imagery and great scenes but not as intricate. I love all 3 but Paparazzi and Telephone are in a different league entirely

Pavel? I am not judging based on the songs at all
 There is a reason Bad Romance is frequently voted one of the best videos of all time and why it won so many awards It doesn't have the epic storyline or extended cut as the other two but what it does in terms of cinematagraphy, drama, choreography and everything in between is near unrivalled. It also did massive things for raising the bar of the music video game in the time it was released.

I love all 3! But basing this on music videos alone I’ve also actually went for Bad Romance but I would argue at this being her top 3 in terms of music videos.
I have nothing at all negative to say about the video though it’s just.. I think the two are more wow worthy and that’s all. It’s like comparing an 11/10 to a 10/10 kinda thing. |
