I thought we had a thread for this but I can't seem to see one now?

Great chemistry between the leads (I wouldn't normally consider either of them to be faves of mine), a few laugh out loud moments, interesting throughout and the humour never really falls flat. Maybe slightly hard to keep up with, hard to pick faults with it and I found it very good but I still wouldn't say I LOVED it, I think it's just not entirely my 'type' of film. Solid 7/10 pushing at an 8/10

I thought I'd already started a thread for this? ohmy.gif

So excited to see this. Looks really funny and my type of comedy. Love Ryan Gosling too. So I'm excited to see him in a more comedic role!

I thought you had too, when searching 'nice guys' didn't bring anything up I went to the list of topics you've created! laugh.gif But I couldn't see anything from this year laugh.gif But I swear my first awareness of this film came from a thread on here...

Saw this the other day and it was very enjoyable. Ryan is hilarious.

This was hilarious, I laughed quite a few times and I loved how retro it all looked too. My favourite moments were Ryan over-acting to the mimed shots from the girl and falling off the top of the building and them chucking the dead body into the dinner party but there were plenty of laughs to be had. Ryan and Russell had great chemistry too, would love to watch this again for sure!

good film 7/10. With recent events I'm not fond of guns in comedies, but it's a nostalgic LA 70's Private Eye movie for me. The mini-tribute to Abbott & Costello (Ryan's reactions) was fun, and as always I get all nitpicky about soundtrack music that is chronologically incorrect. Set in 1977, features songs from 1978/9. Just set it in 1979 for chrissake! tongue.gif

The body on dinner party scene stole the entire film for me :')
