Dexton's Top 20 (13/06/2017) (Week #5)
This week we see Bakermat overtake Peking Duk & AlunaGeorge on the top, switching positions after last weeks new entry for both tracks. A third new nubmer one in three weeks! Highest new entry this week comes in at #3 with Liam Gallagher's solo Wall of Glass followed by Rita Ora at #4. Further down the chart there's more new entries from Lorde (Perfect Places from her upcoming album Melodrama ) and Sigala & Ella Eyre. Imagine Dragons become the first artist on my chart to have two separate entries, not including features as that feat was taken by Bieber in week 1 Jon Bellion sadly leaves the chart this week along with Gorillaz, Shawn Mendez, and Martix & Futurebound. Jon Bellion's The Human Condition and Gorillaz' Humanz are both incredible albums, I highly recommend both of them. In my non-existent album chart they would have both gone #1 01 02 Bakermat - Don't Want You Back (feat. Kiesza) [2-1] 02 01 Peking Duk & AlunaGeorge - Fake Magic [1-] 03 00 Liam Gallagher - Wall Of Glass [3] 04 06 Rita Ora - Your Song [6-4] 05 03 Disciples - On My Mind [5-3-1-3-5] 06 04 Paramore - Hard Times [16-12-2-4-6] 07 07 French Montana - Unforgettable (feat. Swae Lee) [17-14-12-7-7] 08 10 John Gibbons - P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing) [10-10-8] 09 00 Lorde - Perfect Places [9] 10 05 One Republic - No Vacancy [2-2-3-5-10] 11 13 Sigrid - Don't Kill My Vibe [14-13-11] 12 16 Miley Cyrus - Malibu [19-18-16-16-12] 13 08 Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee - Despacito (feat. Justin Bieber) [1-1-4-8-13] 14 00 Sigala & Ella Eyre - Came Here For Love [14] 15 09 Chase & Status - This Moment (feat. Blossoms) [6-9-15] 16 17 Maggie Lindemann - Pretty Girl (Cheat Codes x Cade Remix) [13-11-17-16] 17 12 Wale - My Love (feat. Major Lazer, Dua Lipa, & Wizkid) [3-4-8-12-17] 18 00 Imagine Dragons - Thunder [18] 19 14 Becky Hill - Rude Love [8-11-7-14-19] 20 11 Flume - Hyperreal (feat. Kucka) [14-6-5-11-20] Drop Outs: Jon Bellion - Overwhelming [4-7-13-19] Gorillaz - The Apprentice (feat. Rag'n'Bone Man, Zebra Katz & RAY BLK) [6-5-9-15-xx] Shawn Mendes - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back [10-10-19-18] Matrix & Futurebound - Light Us Up (feat. Calum Scott) [16-17-20-xx] #1's of 2017 16/05 | Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee - Despacito (feat. Justin Bieber) [1] 23/05 | Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee - Despacito (feat. Hi Dexton
Oh yes! Bakermat now at number 1 We share the same number 3 Wall Of Glass. I want to see Liam G another week in the UK top 30. P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing) up 2 places to #8. It's still my number 1. I love the fact John Gibbons made a very different version from the original track. I wonder if Thunder will be top 40 this Friday. Nice chart |

Nice chart Hey Jason Bakermat > Peking Duk It would be nice for him to hold on another week, I think he might be able to but will probably keep falling from now on. 21 was still good though P.Y.T is very different to the original, a lot of artists try to remake older songs these days but either don't change enough or change too much so it's a completely different song. P.Y.T find a nice balance, a bit like Easy Love by Sigala. Thunder is looking to be about 35 this week judging by Spotify & iTunes Hopefully it'll get even higher Thanks for commenting Hey Dexton! arrow up.gif 01 02 Bakermat - Don't Want You Back (feat. Still hope it goes Top 40 though. Good stuff Hey Mango! I'm really liking Wall of Glass too Reminiscent of the classic Oasis but doesn't completely sound like it's straight out of the 90's if you know what I mean Perfect Places is so good x.x It's a perfect closing track for her album and is indeed very 2013 Lorde. Not as good as Green Light (but what is???) but a close second Funnily enough, Came Here For Love was instant for me I prefer it to Sigala's recent stuff. Ever since Give Me Your Love it seemed he was going downhill but it's good to know that Sigala can still make good stuff I've listened to the original a couple of times but it didn't seem too special to me. I get why people like it though, and the remix was made just for radio and fits in perfectly with current trends right now too. I guess I fall ill to those following the trends I didn't actually like Thunder at first. I thought it was ok but Believer & Whatever It Takes both greatly outshone it. But since it started rising in the charts I've grown more and more. A lot of people have been saying that its ID kind of "selling out" and going with the trends like Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy have done (to name a few) but Imagine Dragons have been very cross-genre since the beginning Radioactive was Rock-Dubstep for gods sake Thanks for commenting Hi! Great number 1!! All three new entries are good too Great Chart!! Hey Bridge Bakermat have pulled the rug right from underneath Peking Duk's feet Maybe Liam will do the same next week? All three of my four new entries? Good to know your enjoying the new songs! Thanks! This post has been edited by Dexton: 15th June 2017, 08:11 AM |
