Does anyone here watch anime?
It's amazing how easy it actually is to get into shows where you're just reading english subtitles.....after a while it's like they're speaking english. (even though they're speaking japanese) Right now I'm watching: Shiki - It's a story about a small village and a new family moves into a castle on the hill.....then suddenly people in the village start dropping like flies. (dying ) It does sound a bit like a cliche but it's very mysterious and intriguing. High School of the Dead - It's pretty much like left 4 dead except it's in Japan. I actually really disliked the first episode....but I think it might have won me over. (I have a love hate relationship with this one) This post has been edited by Iz 💀: 1st December 2021, 09:50 AM |

Some series' I would recommend are Occult Academy, which is currently ongoing and is about a girl who hates the spiritual who takes over a school that trains students in dealing with the occult.
My favourite series of the year so far has been 'Hanamaru Kindergarten', quite innocent and ridiculously cute, but not for everyone's tastes. Inuyasha is also pretty cool as well. |

The theme tune for it was just perfect (Oasis providing music for a anime series was a touch of gentius), and its mix of cute animation and dark philospohical aspects was just great. Some funny moments too. |

I've just started watching this the other day, I really like it so far. Kuki, I watch most of my animes at: http://www.animecrunch.com/ Shiki is there too and they have multiple videos of each episode. My favourite series of the year so far has been 'Hanamaru Kindergarten', quite innocent and ridiculously cute, but not for everyone's tastes. Just watched the first episode of this and really enjoyed it! Such a funny story I love when like 4 year old Anzu-Chan's mum asks her who the man talking to her was and she tells her mum he was hitting on her, to which she replies "Wow Anzum you're popular like your mommy" Mother of the year I've just started watching this the other day, I really like it so far. Kuki, I watch most of my animes at: http://www.animecrunch.com/ Shiki is there too and they have multiple videos of each episode. Oh wow, thank you so much! I'll spend all tonight on here! Woo I love me some Adult Swim amazing channel lol for anime guys. I've always wanted to watch Adult Swim but don't know how to find it, or if you have subscribe! |

Whilst searching, found a site called crunchyroll that streams loads of shows. (not sure if i am allowed to mention that, delete it if not i am sorry) and have began watching a show called 11 eyes, that is quite interesting, reminding me of a PS2 game called Persona 3.

Crunchyroll is a legal streaming site, and the owners have the permission from the makers to do so, so I guess it's alright, as long as you don't mind sitting through the ads.

I found out about a new anime, Arakawa under the bridge, it's supposed to be really funny. I haven't watched it yet though I'll have a look out for it.

What's it about? Also, I'm absolutely LOVING Hanamaru Kindergarten I watched the first three episodes, and basically it's about this wealthy business guy, who lives his life by not relying on anyone else for help. However when his life is saved by a homeless girl under the bridge, he asks her what she wants in return (because he can't stand owing anything to anyone). She doesn't want the riches he can give her and instead asks for him to love her and come live with her under the bridge. There's a community of homeless/weirdos living under the bridge too. I really like it so far, it's weird but really charming. This post has been edited by Sabrewulf: 5th September 2010, 07:39 AM |
