A thread dedicated to those dance tracks that were slated for release but never actually emerged / were cancelled singles. There have been some absolute corkers over the years!
Do you have any that you still regularly go back to? Are there tracks that you wish were released and smashed on the charts? |

Not necessarily an unreleased track but Zedd’s “Papercut” should have been given a radio edit and a traditional single release.

I do actually regularly go back to Philip George's 'Afraid To Love', I don't know why they didn't go with it.
Not necessarily an unreleased track but Zedd’s “Papercut” should have been given a radio edit and a traditional single release. Yeah, really should have been. What were they thinking? |

This is such a good thread idea, it still pains me that the Duke Dumont/MNEK collab never got released cus it's just so amazing
There's that Chainsmokers/Matoma ID that never got released, and probs never will now, and it's easily one of both of their best songs tbh: And then of course the infamous Martin Garrix/Ed Sheeran collab that never surfaces </3 |

I did discover this one from early 2006 recently which I think was released but it mustn't have had any promo as it flopped a lot, didn't even make top 100. One of Flip and Fill's best songs imo, the Alex K remix is fab too.

This had a UK release planned for 2007 as their 3rd single with promos issues but it was cancelled.
Apparently, Hard2Beat had lined up the cover of 'Please Don't Go' to be Basshunter's second UK single, even releasing this YouTube video, but it was later scrapped in favour of 'All I Ever Wanted'. This post has been edited by lewistgreen: Jan 6 2018, 07:41 PM |

There was a Gorgon City track after 'All Four Walls' called 'Love Me' which premiered on Radio 1 as a "hottest new record" type thing but never emerged, and all that exists is some Live Lounge version of it on YouTube.
What happened to that? It sounded HUGE and like one of their very best. |

Not an official edit but I listen to this one quite a lot I like the original but it's too long to sit through casually Before August I would've said Avicii's Without You (although I probably still would say that as the leaked/festival version was 5 minutes long and he cut a lot of it for the release ) Basically anything that was teased for Avicii's Stories album actually. He confirmed working with Billie Joe Armstrong, Jon Bon Jovi, and more collabs with Wyclef Jean & Chris Martin but most never came about |

Only ever given away through his website and one that was Jax's first output before anyone even knew him like we know him now. There was a thread for this on the forum though!
One that I thought would have been destined to be a single for Blonde considering how much it was loved online by the Eton Messy fam, but it never happened. This post has been edited by lewistgreen: Feb 25 2018, 03:04 PM |

Back in the day before the Calvin Harris remix was released and took off, David Guetta had a great remix of Florence's Spectrum that I was really looking forward to hearing a studio version of. It went a lot harder than Calvin's.

New Duke Dumont reminded me of this banger that never surfaced:

In light of David Guetta & Bebe Rexha finally releasing Blue, thought it would be a good time to revive this.
When on Earth are we getting this absolute smash waiting to happen?? I was watching Pitch Perfect recently and totally forgot this plays over the closing credits. This was part of a whole album Martin had poised with Hello, Ready 2 Go and Big In Japan on too. Never got a UK release?? |

Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran had this song together in 2015 called Rewind Repeat It which got played at a lot of his festival sets but never got released because of label issues. It probably would have been a massive hit at the time!

Norwegian producer "Years" released a song called "Bliss" this year. It is an instrumental big room progressive house song. However, the original ID when it was introduced for the first time was a collaboration with Axwell and Coldplay:

This one was made as a lockdown collab challenge but It's pretty good, they should have released it
Axwell fans were waiting for this one since 2008 Probably never gonna see the light of day. |
