A million downloads for a song that has only peaked at #54 so far? Even in the US that has to be pretty impressive. 'Lights' hasn't had one particularly great sales week a la 'Dog Days Are Over'.. And remember, the sales count start from the release date, not the date it enters Hot 100. The main factor behind its climb is still increasing airplay. The main factor behind its climb is still increasing airplay. Well that is exactly my point. She's not had any significant Billboard success with this song yet it has trickle-sold one million copies. Colour me impressed. |

Nice to see another climb for Calvin, this must be his peak now so he's done a Written In The Stars pretty much to the letter (but hopefully his next single won't do as badly as Till I'm Gone did). Brilliant to see Rumour Has It in the top 20 as well and of course Gotye at #1. Semi expected Ellie to be higher but another new peak anyway - it'll definitely hit the 20-week cap at this rate.
Woo for RITD hitting 7 million digital sales, it could overtake I Gotta Feeling at some point in the future. Glee Cast have now had 200 Hot 100 hits accordingto Billboard. Acts with the most H100 hits: 200, "Glee" cast 108, Elvis Presley 101, Lil Wayne 91, James Brown 74, Ray Charles 73, Aretha Franklin 71, the Beatles 70, Jay-Z 67, Elton John 63, Stevie Wonder I don't recall hearing about Lil Wayne passing the 100 mark. He should overtake Elvis in the near future More legitimately than Glee Cast as he doesn't literally put out about six singles every week but still obviously much less legitimate than Elvis' achievement. Most of Lil Wayne's entries will be as a featured artist (same with Jay-Z) - so don't be suprised to see Rihanna in that list very soon |

Pitbull doesn't have that many featuring appearances tbh. He has 17 hits under his own name (totally solo or featuring someone else) and only 10 as a guest.

Oh my God at Ellie selling 1 million. This is definitely the sleeper hit of the year already.
Shame it missed top 50, but last week it spent the first 2 days at about 65 and and another 2 or 3 days at around 50 and now she's at 45ish, so I think she could still go top 50. Also 37 on digital songs, which is fantastic. |

Semi expected Ellie to be higher but another new peak anyway - it'll definitely hit the 20-week cap at this rate. I may be misreading this but if I'm not then I am surprised you don't think this will go top 50 within 3 weeks. It should almost certainly be there next week and I imagine it will stay there. Where did the thing about hitting a million sales from? An incredibly thorough 2 minute Google search doesn't throw up anything for me. OTHER NEWS - Nice new peak for Calvin though I imagine he won't get any higher. Great for Rumour to go top 20, top 10 soon hopefully. |

Lil Wayne also probably has so many Hot 100 hits since it seems like every time he releases an album half the tracks chart on the Hot 100 in week 1.
The only two of Nicki's album tracks that stayed in the Hot 100 for the 2nd week are Beez in the Trap and Right by My Side, but that's probably because the former got a music video and the latter has been sent to radio. In my opinion though, the Hot 100 is so good at the moment. It's annoying that Kanye missed the top 20 though. This post has been edited by Eric_Blob: 19th April 2012, 06:07 PM |

WOOOOOOO go Gotye Is Easy Way Out second US single? Because it really should be here Completely agree. Only the other day I posted in the BJSC forum about this being the most successful single Batidas have entered. Then I put "Gotye for US #1 " and it's happened. Maroon 5 will probably enter at no. 1 next week though with 'Payphone' so at least Gotye's managed to get 1 week at the top. |

It'll be either Gotye or fun. I think. Gotye has the Tiesto remix at #13 on US iTunes which will boost him a lot, and fun. have massive radio airplay. |

I think Eyes Wide Open will manage to chart on the Hot 100 next week aswell. Will will mean both Gotye and fun. won't be one-hit wonders.
