QUOTE MOLLIE Mollie has recently announced that she has signed a record deal with Island Records, the home of Amy Winehouse, Florence & The Machine & Robbie Williams and is set to release her first single later this year. Mollie has spent the last few months writing and recording new material in studios not only in the UK, but throughout Europe and in the USA. Mollie continues her work as an ambassador for Maybelline whilst also championing a cause close to her heart, with the Born Free Foundation, of which she recently became an ambassador. You can find out what she got up to on her recent trip with the charity here. Source: The Saturdays mailer. It's official! This post has been edited by Hurricane: 12th August 2016, 03:40 PM |

So glad it's finally official! But "later this year" better mean in the next couple months.

May could be perfect. That's when Missing You was released, no? There are so many promo slots available at that time. Plus if it's a summery track it could actually get a bit of longevity.

Well, actually Missing You got released in August, but somehow promo slots were many back then? Oh well, maybe August isn't a dead zone, but June is, I don't know, lmao. |

Stupid Wikipedia says it was released in May. I still think you're right about avoiding summer though. They need to get this release right. No typical Sats mistakes like releasing on the busiest week, waiting until it's too late for a price reduction, etc. |

Per Mollie at the Elle Style Awards, first single will be out in "the next few months" It's pop but in a different lane from the Sats. Also the girls will be coming together for "something" (probably dinner) this year.

so a May release most likely the pop, but different from the sats interests me. Could maybe see her doing something similar to Selena Gomez's new stuff, I think Mollie's voice would really suit that

Someone from Popjustice that isn't an insider per say, but knows more than he seems to let on, has implied 'April' would be a good month to hear the first single (radio premiere?). |

I can't wait! I'm really anxious to hear it. I'm hoping her new material will somewhat fill my Sats void.

I hope so too, if she's sticking to pop, I imagine it will do the trick

I really want the album, though...I'm just anxious about how well the single must do to manage to get an album out? This post has been edited by Hurricane: 25th February 2016, 02:00 AM |

There's not much point in worrying at the moment, it's such early days that we haven't even heard a second of her music yet. Let's wait and see what Mollie & the label have in store first, before worrying about the campaign, success levels & whether an album will materialise. Keep positive until there's a reason to feel worried etc.
