Hey Joseph!
Really liking your #2. Was impressed with how 1D switched up their sound a bit with the last album and it's great to see them still experimenting, especially as it would have made sense to go with a safer, 'bigger' sounding standard pop anthem this time considering they were/are on a slight commercial decline (a la Little Mix with 'Black Magic' I guess). I know it's a bit pedantic but I find the (Americanised?) pronunciation of 'me' as 'may' in the chorus really off-putting right now but hopefully I'll stop noticing it and get fully on board soon . Also, is it just me or does Harry sound different on the song? I usually think his voice is very distinctive but I don't recognise it at all (assuming he actually sings on the track ). The prospect of a Rita Ora/Chris Brown collab didn't exactly excite me but 'Body On Me' is just so well executed - her vocals and the production in particular are both sublime . It might already be my second favourite of her tracks after 'I Will Never Let You Down'. Likewise, I wasn't anticipating 5SOS's new track but it's quite the jam. The delayed chorus works perfectly and I love the lyrics throughout. Great to see one of the sounds/genres that defined my childhood back in the charts! 'Dance Like We're Making Love' didn't do much for me originally but the outstanding video completely made it click. That's seriously one of the best/most-perfect-for-the-song music videos I've ever seen! <3 |

It is a really great song, I barely knew it existed until during the week, glad it's looking to be huge in the chart! Poor Sarah Indelible might be more to your tastes, it's a stripped back piano ballad! I'd totally forgotten about Dip It Low until it got played on plug last week, a great rediscovery Hey 10. Rita Ora - Body on Me (feat. Chris Brown) - 19-10- ** HIGHEST CLIMBER ** Actual good song 13. RHODES & Birdy - Let It All Go - 13- This is lovely as hell 18. Shawn Mendes - Stitches - 34-15-18- Not bad and he is hot too 30. Wølffe - Shoot You Down - 9-13-19-27-26-18-23-30- Joseph, love this 34. I agree, their voices go so well together, I hope it can do something in the chart 18. Agreed *fans self* 30. Yaaaaaaay 34. It's rapidly becoming a favourite of theirs for me, so so good. 4. It's such an unlikely sounding hit to me Won't complain though cause it's a fabulous track. 6. Do you know many Delta songs? If not, I'd highly recommend checking out more of her songs, I think you'll be a fan! 17. I don't think it will tbh I'd love it to but I can't see radio backing it sadly! Hey Joseph! Really liking your #2. 'Dance Like We're Making Love' didn't do much for me originally but the outstanding video completely made it click. That's seriously one of the best/most-perfect-for-the-song music videos I've ever seen! <3 Hey Andy, thanks for the comment! Yeah I'm really glad they realise the importance of trying to change up their sound now and then, I mean they kinda learnt the hard way that rehashing a previous hit doesn't work, what with Live While We're Young being their lowest selling lead single to date (excluding this one) when that was essentially WMYB part 2, as much as I like it lol. I see what you mean about "may", I don't really mind it though haha, it's quite fun to sing along to. Harry sounds no different to me actually! He opens the song, and sings the pre-chorus in verse 2 also (plus the adlibs in the last chorus) (anyone would think I'm a 1D stan ) I love Rita but yeah, it didn't excite me either, mainly because Chris Brown last put out a good song...whenever With You/Superhuman came out Rita's excellent on it and Chris fits in quite well too. I'd say it slots in ~4th on a rank of my favourites by her but it's without a doubt one of her most polished tracks I think. I'd say She's Kinda Hot slots into around 3rd on my favourite singles by them now actually, behind She Looks So Perfect and Good Girls! It's a solid comeback even if not completely commercial sounding. I hope it can have a renewed chart life soon because its run so far is quite shocking 100% agreed on Ciara there, the track was "good but not great" at first I thought and I struggled to get into it before the video but I really enjoy it now, even if it's not quite matching my top 3 of the album (I Bet/Give Me Love/One Woman Army in some order). So slick, such a shame she's not having much chart success these days |
