Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 17/08 to 23/08 chart

The Sats over? I'm trying to pretend it isn't true
After earning the second biggest jump to number one within the Top 75, Norwegian act Nico & Vinz are looking to remain at #1 for a second week with 'Am I Wrong?'. Following the big success of 'Hideaway', Kiesza is hoping to debut Top 5 with second single 'Giant in My Heart', whilst hip-hop duo Rizzle Kicks return with 'Tell Her' which is heading for a Top 10 placing. Elsewhere in the charts, The Saturdays' lead single of their greatest hits collection 'What Are You Waiting For?' should also debut and Clean Bandit's 'Come Over' may climb into the Top 40. Twin Atlantic's 'Brothers and Sisters' may also stand a chance at reaching the Top 40, after they made it for the first time with 'Heart & Soul' earlier this year.

With the release schedule not showing any big #1 competitors again, the #1 may go to Ed Sheeran for an 8th consecutive week with his second album x. Contenders for the Top 10 could be The Gaslight Anthem, The Saturdays and Loveable Rouges, with OneRepublic's album Native joining them due to its re-release. Further down the chart, Richard & Adam, FKA Twigs and Sinead O'Conno may debut.

I've heard Sats are 10 and 6 in the mids. No idea how true this is though. If they're only 6 in the first mids, that's pretty disastrous.

Few tweets flying around saying as above that The Saturdays are at #6 with the album and #10 with the single.

If it's correct that's a bad start for the album ohmy.gif

surely people weren't expecting the album to do well; greatest hits albums are a bit pointless what with being able to cherry pick singles from iTunes and all that

iTunes are #19 & #8 (#4) when you take out compilations.

Mind you I wasn't expecting them any higher, if they go down the same route as JLS with their last single and album. Cue massive fall out at the end of the week, buzzjack meltdown heehee.gif

I was expecting it to do well in the low sales climate due to the fact they sold the album with a tour tickets package [Steps done the same and it sent them to #1 on low sales], They also have a box set available and on iTunes many people are able to get the album for less than £4 with the 'Complete my album' option - Just surprised they are at #6 in the first update as that would mean around 4k of sales which is shocking!

I can't believe that #6 position, I like 90% of the fans have purchased 3/4 copies of the album.

Also it's #4 on iTunes, 26 on amazon physicals (Neon Jungle only got to #64) either sales are missing and the tour/deluxe versions arn't being added in or the info is false.

Isn't the fact it's only 26 on Amazon is good indication that it's doing very poorly on physicals? laugh.gif It's no surprising to see a new release do better on iTunes than in the overall chart.

That is going to drop like a brick, no chance staying in the 40, more like top 200. laugh.gif They seem to be deluded if they think they got a chance, pardon the expression.
