Soju was one of the most endearing and charming queens this episode, which is a shame. She has potential, but the dress was undeniably terrible and she’s clearly not quite there yet. That bizarre spin during the lip sync. Sad. The Montrese queen isn’t going anywhere far either.

Plastique, Brook and Vanjie stood out the most. Well, other than Silky. Impressive how fast I turned on a queen over the space of an episode.

My thoughts:
- Silky is possibly the most annoying person to have appeared on TV for a long time. My GOD PLEASE SHUT UP! - Soju was underwhelming, felt unpolished and unprepared and her personality wasn't very appealing to me so I'm glad she left. - Nina should have been in the B3 in the very least after THAT outfit lol. - Plastique is GORGEOUS, like wow. I cannot stop thinking how beautiful she is, - Scarlett has underwhelmed my very much so far. I was expecting great things based on her promos and stuff but in the first episode she was just not as great as I was hoping. - Initial faves are Plastique, Ariel, Brooke, Yvie and Vanjie. - Already over the influx of Davenports ugh. - But can we talk about THAT transformation from Vanjie?? I loved Brooke's outfit but this was definitely Vanjie's to win but lbr RuPaul keeps making some strange choices these days. |

I thought the epsiode was great but was sad to see Soju go. I just watched Whatcha Packin' and she had some seriously GORGEOUS outifts lined up for the rest of the season. I hope she'll show them each week on her instagram like most other queens do.
I thought most of the queens did a really good job with the challenge. There were a lot of decent outfits and some exceptional ones. Really happy Brook won the challenge, I LOVED her outfit and A'keria/Vanjie/Plastique did really well. I really liked Scarlet/Ariel/Yvie/Plastique too. I didn't think Mercedes' outfit was that bad either - if she was more confident on the runway and sold it I don't think she would've been in the bottom. I really hope Silky calms it down as the weeks progress as I can tell she is going to get on my nerves. I hope she has a massive fight with Ariel though and Ariel shuts her up. Untucked is going to be really intense I feel. The first one was ok but the tension between Silky and the other queens was already very apparant! |

Oooh, I can’t wait until the Photo Ruview thread comes up bc I have a lot to say about these outfits.
Personally, I don’t think Soju and Kahanna were the bottom 2 looks. However, Kahanna’s description of her drag was giving me Mary Sue OC from this or that FanFiction teas. At the same time, Soju’s lip sync was extremely stiff, and the outfit wore her down within the first 10 seconds. Untucked was very much Silky vs. everyone else but I loved the bit where they talked about prejudice and privilege. It was only a short bit, but it spoke volumes. |

Watching this now.... Silky Nutmeg Ganache; was here for her for about 5 minutes before getting seriously p!ssed off with her
Some good Queens though and loved the appearances of previous queens too |

I think her lip sync was really fun and underrated though, she was obviously beaten but she did well in that sack. |

omg are we getting natasha lyonne!!! LOVE her
 I really liked that first episode, the challenges were great and I loved the allumni involvement (mainly adore  ) I'm actually warming to Miss Vanjie a lot more this time around, she's a definite initial fave and I do also like Silky but on the basis she's gonna calm herself down a bit now that the first episode is out of the way, she really doesn't need to be playing to the cameras as much as she is. I'm pegging Shuga Cain as an underdog as well, I wanna see more of her - I'm not really sure but there's something really endearing about her and she was one of the names I remembered most after watching the cast reveal interview-y things before it aired. Her drag kinda reminds me a little of Bianca meets Dela as well which can only be a plus

Sooo much shit is coming out about Silky this week, idk if she will just get better, it's a real shame because she was my easy pre-season fave
 For example: - Apparently she has said a lot of transphobic things about trans women who do drag, and say them getting on Drag Race would be wrong and "like a handout" which would insult the fact Silky has "worked for it - Has been in drama with Shea's boyfriend over being unprofessional and a diva over gig pay - Was accused of sexual assault by a fan - Joked that this season is going to "blow up" when mentioning Mercedes |

Yeah, she'd had an argument with one of my friends on Twitter weeks ago which put me off her. People may have different views but as a male who is friends with around about 5/6 different female AFAB drag queens, I'm personally so in support of females performing as drag queens and thus being able to participate on this show. Her view that "females should try and build on this elsewhere" isn't exactly wrong but it's so narrow minded in 2019 to think that female drag queens aren't working harder than anyone to try and get their profile.
Her joke as Roscoe's about Mercedes which conviniently was preceeded by a 'boom' noise even made Trannika look around like "r u ok hun?". A lot about her seems... not 2019, we'll put it that simply and not in a Bianca 'taking the piss' manner. |

Yeah 100%, like I've got a dark sense of humour to a ridiculous degree but that was just... not funny at all. That's Bianca's whole shtick and she owns it, but Silky always seems to be saying/doing what she knows will get attention.
I will never understand those who are so het up at AFAB/trans female drag queens either. It's a very closed minded view, drag should be open to everyone in my book, by nature it celebrates and allows expression of femininity. It's very outdated to just view drag as a man in a dress, of all people drag queens should not be the ones making divides and shutting people out, making drag "elite" if you don't fit a certain type. Drag Race Thailand opened up to AFAB/trans queens this season, there are two trans queens in the season's cast and one has won either the challenge or runway 5 out of 7 weeks so far, on the audition episode there was also an AFAB queen. If they work as hard and prove themselves, why shouldn't they be part of the show? For a decade, the show has moved with drag so I just think for what the show SHOULD represent, it's just plain outdated and short sighted to think like that. The show has for a decade moved with drag, so why not continue, it shouldn't stagnate. Of course with Ru at the helm, Silky won't have anything to worry about... If it was one thing about Silky, I'd think meh maybe this person is out for some attention riding on the fact she's on Drag Race, but it just seems to be incessant. Her kinds of views and attitudes should not belong in a space like this. |
