After a dull 2015 for horror movies, I'm quite excited for this year. Hopefully this is better sequel than the atrocious 'Sinister 2'!

A second one! Yes!
Hopefully it's better than the awful Annabelle. |

Even though a lot of it felt a bit 'done before', possession, haunted house etc. I still really enjoyed it. It didn't feel quite as unique and strong as the original but is a very respectable followup. It's quite long, but I kind of liked that because it was all part of building on a plot and characters. Some of the scares are really good too, I jumped a fair few times.
A solid 3/5 for me! |

Just saw this last night. Aside from one shitty portion of CGI, it was HELLA SCARY. I think my heart stopped a few times
10/10 would get nightmares for the next week or so |

Really happy with this. I agree with Joe in that it felt very "done it all before", but that didn't take away from the enjoyment of it. My main criticism of it all, was that it felt a bit too silly at times, but not off puttingly so, just more in a "cringey moment" sort of way.
Legit shat myself more than three times. I LOVE these stories! I love reading up about them after and I shall be doing my little wikipedia research in a moment or two (although I knew a little bit about this story beforehand). I love how this film made you, question whether it is a hoax or not during the film. I think they pulled it off extremely well. 7.5 out of 10. By FAR the best horror of the year so far, for me. |

Saw this on Monday evening and loved it, I actually preferred it over the first one.
I found myself jumping quite a bit but also realised that I love seeing scary films at cinema rather than on dvd as when one person jumps the whole row jumps adds to the effect ;-) Only downside was the chattering school kids few rows from us that you just wished would be sucked into the film like a scene from poltergeist. |

I do actually think it's scarier than the first. But in terms of plot the first is still better.
Same as out I feel about Scream/Scream 2 |

I really enjoyed this. I jumped so many times.
Someone walked along their row to go to the toilet and I literally nearly shit myself. |

Enjoyed this as well. I think the first is better, but this one is a bit scarier. Some of the scares you know are coming, but the timing of them really catch you off guard.
Really enjoying this franchise though, I just hope the 3rd one lives up to the quality, as it doesn't look like James Wan has the time to return in his schedule. |

Enjoyed this as well. I think the first is better, but this one is a bit scarier. Some of the scares you know are coming, but the timing of them really catch you off guard. I really think they should just leave the 'Conjuring' series alone until James is ready and available to commit again. I'm fine that if they need to, do a couple of spin-offs (like the nun one that's been announced and of course 'Annabelle 2') if they want revenue etc... but please, just don't give us another Ed/Lorraine story until James is ready!

Quite excited for this, really enjoyed the first one and came as a surprise at the time where the horror genre was filled with so many bland haunted house or found footage movies, I know this was a ghost/haunted house type movie, but this and the first 2 Insidious movies were a cut above the rest and are certainly better than any of those terribly overrated Paranormal Activity movies (which I hated).

I've been so busy, I only got round to watching this last week! I thought it was really enjoyable and there were a good few scares in there. Pretty well paced too. I thought it might have been dangerous having a sequel after the hype of the first one, but for me it lived up to expectation. Pretty good film overall!

I absolutely loved this, I'm shocked! Absolutely terrifying I fell off my chair during that scene near the end with whatever that thing was that scared Ed but really interesting as well! Miles better than the first one which I never really got and also preferred it to Annabelle!
