When the flowers that we'd grown together died of thirst

11. Clean avg score- 8.04

highest scores: ...readyforit (9), George.keh (9)
lowest scores: NickF1 (6)

Just missing out on a top 10 placing is the gorgeous Clean. Possibly the most underrated on the album imho. The writing on this is really just superb and beautiful and makes this one of the lyrical highlights of this album. The production is fun and warm against her delicate vocals that just make this an overall beautiful song from her and one I’d like to hear more similar to in the future.

My ex man bought his new girlfriend, she’s like OH MY GOSH

10. Shake It Off avg score- 8.125

biggest scorers: ...readyforit (10), SamJudd (10), Jordan Lee (10), JosephStyles (10)
lowest scorers: Jonjo (6)

In 10th place we lose our 2nd single, and the lead single at that! Possibly the biggest hit of her career, Shake It Off could only manage number 10 on this album rate, is this because of the high quality of the album or the disappointing reception in this song? The song for me is a fun number but can become incredibly jarring when overplay does kick in unlike many of the others featured on the album and still to come. The lyrics aren’t the greatest also, tending to rely on the generic-happy factor to get along. The video is one of her most joyous ever however and has gone on to garner over a billion views on YouTube

Thank God it dropped out there ohmy.gif I thought it would be top 5! (My score wasn't even particularly low for it, either)

'I Wish You Would' deserved better!

'Welcome To New York' is definitely a least fave.

The more I think about it now, the less I know

9. All You Had To Do Was Stay avg score- 8.38

biggest scorers: Jade (10)
lowest scorers: blacksquare (6)

Next up we have All You Had To Do Was Stay, a song I’m actually pretty surprised to see rank this high, I definitely thought I Wish You Would and maybe even Clean would have ranked higher than this. The song is an all out pop smash, possibly one of the most modern sounding pop songs on the record in fact, lacking that 80s influence many of the other tracks have. The song finishes with a very respectable average score of 8.3 due to it’s strong showing including a 10 and 3 9 scores as well as no score lower than a 6!

Pleased that 'All You Had To Do Was Stay' is in the top 10 and with a pretty good average wub.gif it was probably the most instant album track for me!

They are the hunters we are the foxes, and we run

8. I Know Places avg score- 8.63

biggest scores: Doug (10), Me (10)
lowest scores: blacksquare (7), NickF1 (7.5)

Finishing at 8 is probably the most alternative track on the album in that it really doesn’t share the same 80s pop feel as the rest of the tracks! The song starts minimalistic and builds up to include soaring vocals and military drums and lyrics of escaping the norm. This received 2 10 scores but was ultimately dragged down by middle-high scores, however resulting in an impressive average of 8.63!

We cry tears of mascara in the classroom, honey life is just a classroom

7. New Romantics avg score- 8.66

highest scores: Me (10), SamJudd (10), blacksquare (10)
lowest scores: Jordan Lee (7), NickF1 (7)

Our 3rd single leaves us in 7th place as New Romantics finishes at 7th. For me, the most fun song on the album, really closes the album out with such great lyrics, production and vocals- shame we got such a boring tour video as this could have really been a stellar video. 3 10’s were awarded including one from myself to see it finish as high as number 7!

Stand there like a ghost, shaking from the rain

6. How You Get The Girl avg score- 8.66 (more 10s)

highest scores: Jonjo (10), Doug (10), SamJudd (10), JosephStyles (10), Jordan Lee (10)
lowest scores: blacksquare (5), NickF1 (7)

Really didn’t expect to see this one as high as number 6! Just missing out on a top 5 placing is the bouncy How You Get The Girl, a very classic Taylor number. This being above 3 singles is surprising, what would you have wanted from a possible video for this guys I’m interested? But 5 scores of 10 can’t lie! Predictions for top 5 anyone?

Haven’t you heard what becomes of curious minds?

5. Wonderland avg score- 8.79

biggest scores: Calum (11), Me (10), SamJudd (10), JosephStyles (10)
lowest scores: blacksquare (6), HauntedHaus (8)

At number 5 we have the glorious escapist Wonderland. Surprised to see this finish higher than New Romantics but can’t say I’m annoyed at it. Beautiful lyrics are what I take most from this one, using kooky wordplay and creating a real world for this song to exist in. Scoring an 11 and 3 10’s and 4 9’s this has done exceptionally well however was dragged down from that one low 6 score, shame on you blacksquare!!!

The rest of the world was black and white, but we were in screaming colour

4. Out Of The Woods avg score- 9.25

highest scores: Jonjo (11), Jade (11), NickF1 (11)
lowest scores: HauntedHaus (7), Doug (8), JosephStyles (8)

Our next single to leave us is Out Of The Woods which personally holds the accolade of having my favourite Taylor music video! So much love for this one as it finishes with a remarkable average of 9.25! Collecting 3 top scores from voters as well as no score lower than a 7 is pretty incredible considering it’s only finished in 4th place!

INTO THE TOP 3 WE GO

Cos darling I’m a nightmare, dressed like a daydream

3. Blank Space avg score- 9.46

highest scorers: SamJudd (11), blacksquare (11)
lowest scorers: NickF1 (7.5)

2.5 billion views wow! Blank Space leaves us at number 3, the song was immediately adored by fans and critics alike and went on to become as big/bigger than Shake It Off globally! The songs lyrics feature Taylor creating a caricature of herself and how the media portrays her as a lover. The song of course scored 2 11s here as well as no score lower than a 7.5 which is really rather impressive. Who will win however, Style or Wildest Dreams?

AND NUMBER 2 IS...

nothing lasts forever, but this is gonna take me down

2. Wildest Dreams avg score- 9.5

highest scores-
Doug (11), ...readyforit (11), JosephStyles (11)
lowest scores- Jonjo (8), NickF1 (8.5)

Just missing out on the top spot in this rate is the sublime Wildest Dreams, released as the 5th single of the era. The ballad of the era is a soaring, dreamy number with a gorgeous video to match (something Style could never have). The song received 3 scores of 11 as well as no score lower than an 8, giving the song an extremely impressive average of 9.5. We now all know what song must be at number 1 then...

could end in burning flames or paradise

1. Style avg score- 9.6

highest scores- Me (11), JordanLee (11), HauntedHaus (11)
lowest scores- ...readyforit (8), NickF1 (8.5), JosephStyles (8.5)

My personal 11 scorer finishes top of the rate, and what a song it is! The lyrics are mysterious and drenched in the 80s production that sums up the overall sound of the entire era. There were huge rumours upon release of this song being about Mr Harry (Style)s, so we may just have the star to thank for this number. The song received 3 11 scores similar to Wildest Dreams, however scored more scores of under 9 than its opponent did- however the score was boosted by a handful of 10 scorers also. Will Style win Taylor's all time singles rate currently taking place though- looks like that will be the question now?

Thanks for taking part everyone and sorry it took so long to get to this conclusion, I had a lot on eek! Are you happy with the winner and the overall results!?
