Can't decide if I'm bothered about seeing this anymore or not, the reviews and box office rejection are putting me off So has anyone been and can give some feedback? |

I remember loving the 2003 Peter Pan film as a child. I doubt I'll watch this version though, doesn't look too good

Can't decide if I'm bothered about seeing this anymore or not, the reviews and box office rejection are putting me off So has anyone been and can give some feedback? I'm not exactly its target market (though I'm confused as to what is because if I was a kid seeing it I may have shat my pants at some scenes ) but for what it's worth, I wasn't impressed at all. I went along with my friend (who was mildly interested but ultimately underwhelmed) last week when there was nothing else on and while the visual effects etc. were cool, the story and characters were all very clichéd and lacking substance. I pretty much zoned out about halfway through and was thankful I'd rationed my popcorn effectively so I could be kept somewhat entertained. So to answer your question, I wouldn't recommend watching it (but have fun tonight regardless, UV )! |

I went to see it this afternoon anyway, needed to make my own informed opinion and not like I was paying any extra
Thought Peter was cute and likable enough and it looked good visually (aside from the massive birds, didn't reckon much to them ) but the story felt very lackluster and the bit with them singing Nirvana was awful. I zoned out a bit too and think I had more interest in the orphanage sections. It did have a sense of being rushed but at the same time I wouldn't have wanted to watch much more and I'm not a fan of this prequel treatment with the idea of setting up for a sequel / franchise (when like, it's massively underperformed ). Lol at Cara Delevingne not even getting to speak either. |

This wasn't too bad at all really, there were definitely some questionable moments and the plot at times was a bit overly confusing but it was a fun movie to watch on a Sunday afternoon, Levi Miller was very watchable for just a 13 year old actor too. Shame at the massive flop this seems to be because it's really not that bad.
In other news, this middle aged lady was actually just giving a very loud commentary throughout the film like she's what in her own living room - had to get up and just tell her no WHY WOULD YOU TALK ALL THE WAY THROUGH A FILM AND NOT REALISE YOU'RE A BAD PERSON |
