Finest Selection #736
There's nothing to watch anymore :'(
If Not Giving Up couldn't revive LFTW, 808 ain't gon' do sh*t.
Would love to see a video for it though
The introduction of streaming makes it so much harder for them to go top ten. Their image and brand relies on top ten singles (no matter how little their sales are) so it's been a big blow that they missed the top 15 and just scraped the top 40 with two releases this year.
Album flops can sort of be 'saved' by a top ten single or two (like their last albums) but the singles flopping completely has put them in a very dangerous and 'irrelevant' position. Their next move is vital.
I've been wondering.
Marvin confirmed they weren't splitting in a interview on Popjustice. He also said on the same interview that "everyone love a Christmas album"...which is really vague.
Peter from PJ also mentioned he was still waiting for them to announce the Christmas album, so we still don't have a confirmation...and to be honest, it's taking quite a long time.
Are they thinking about releasing in December? I can't with these girls.
I've been wondering.

If they release in December it will peak around #30.
'What Are You Waiting For?' has held up in the top 1,500 rather well tbh.

You're generous.
Unless it's been scrapped. I think they're better off continuing to promote the Greatest Hits until Xmas, and then move onto new music in the New Year possibly :/

If there's no news regarding a christmas single within the next 10 days I think it's fair to assume that it will have been axed. I think their next single will be released in July / August if I'm being honest now unless they decide to promote without Una otherwise the single will be sooner. I'm hoping they splash the cash for a guest feature because they really need that airplay.

487 The Saturdays Christmas Wrapping
I don't know whether I want to buy it or not. It's not particularly interesting and the melodies on the verses/chorus are so weird, it's like they're just stopping and starting and making the tune up as they go alone, but at the same time I want it to somehow go top 200 so that they at least look semi-relevant for an hour or two.
Atleast it's climbing! I've bought it. I absolutely adore it!
The Saturdays to irrelevant to go top 300 on iTunes now.
640. The Saturdays - Christmas Wrapping
I'm guessing it could climb on Friday as the movie is premiering but I'm not holding my breath on it going top 200 on iTunes.
It climbed alot when they posted it on Facebook/Twitter. They always get boosts when they promote on social media but only ever post it once or twice and that's it.
Shame the soundtrack isn't advertised on iTunes. Saturdays Christmas number 1 opportunity thwarted again.
It's held up longer than Mr Postman at least.
Christmas Wrapping is #20 on Google play due to being 19p. I wonder if it can chart this Sunday because of this?
GETTING THAT TOP 20 GOOGLE PLAY SMASH.
I think The Saturdays will re-enter the top 100 this weekend.
How many android users are out there? Millions? There is actually a good possibility maybe
Right now would be a good time to Tweet about the Google Play offer...
But cause it's The Saturdays, they won't. But hey it would be good if this manages to scrape the top 100 but let's be honest, it's flopping on iTunes and iTunes have higher sales that playstore I assume so they won't chart plus factoring in the fact that it's not on streaming either there's no chance now I don't think, thinking about everything anyway.
I think it'll chart top 200, at the very least (that is, if Play keep the offer all week), top 100 is quite competitive at the moment with the 1000s of Christmas songs being streamed.
Where is it on iTunes?
Are songs sold for such little even eligible for chart placing?
They do count! as long as they are more than 10p!
Slade was at #48 in the midweeks yesterday despite being around #70 on iTunes, due to the 19p things.
Any word on whether or not Christmas Wrapping charted?
Don't think we will find out the top 200 until Thursday.

like what is this bitch playing at going so r&b, they're all boring. I need SOLO frankie & Mollie to just slay me with POP heaven.
In all fairness, these song are the type of tracks people who are unsigned release. She needs to be doing tracks like Tinashe/Ciara
Vanessa needs to get on the free trainers!
It's a shame that no label are willing to take the chance on Vanessa. The only one who's on a label is Mollie? I'm guessing Frankie & Rochelle could easily get a label if they wanted too.
Can't they just get back together as a five and start releasing pop bangers again :'(
I'll take any new music even if it flops.
Bring us back those (that) innovative "mini-album".
Its a good thing. The sooner the solo dreams die, the sooner they will regroup!
I am sad for Ness, but she was always 'the least popular' one with twitter followers etc. and quite honestly Rochelle has a much better voice and in the last three years of the group, Rochelle was the lead singe.
Frankie's too though? :frankie:

Will Vanessa go top 100 with Chapter 1 EP? (on Itunes now)
LOL at her being on Karma Artist Recordings though, it's a shame to see her independent and I have no doubt she's lost a lot of money through this project.

I know I just checked! Must admit, I wasn't expecting it to go top 100 iTunes, 72 isn't that bad this early on, i mean not good, but not bad considering. Be interesting to see if it climbs over tomorrow/today much. Good luck to her though, at least now i actually own DWBYL

What's the highest Vanessa ever got?
(No shade.)
Vanessa never got top 200, think she peaked at around #468 with Don't Leave Your Lover? Her EP peaked low 30's also.
Right, well there was more of a build-up when it comes down to Mollie's campaign due to the media coverage, but overall this is off to a "decent" start.
I'm guessing a peak of #22 on iTunes tomorrow which is still a rather fantastic result.
I'd be fine with #22. If I wake up tomorrow and this is somehow in the Top 10 I'll die.
#102 UK!! And reached #89 in Chile.
It has dropped down a bit in both UK and Ireland, but expected considering the time/hour.
So I guess people are waking up?
#95 in the UK. It has officially broken the top 100.

Not that it's relevant these days as the charts changed so much, but I still find that post from 'missingyou' (oops, now 'DiscoLove'?) who registered the place where each of their singles stood at noon :Targets for 12 noon (I know its hard to compare as we had pre-orders, but it should level out soon..)

This is good because it didn't have pre orders, so it's not people claiming those. This is people waking up and wanting The King in there life.
It's so exciting. I mean, it's probably going to fall in a few hours, but for now I'm just hyped up about the whole thing.

The King has returned!
It's higher than Ellie Goulding's new song out today which is only #38

Hope everyone has it on repeat on streaming whilst we're watching it climb iTunes!
Look, I know Vanessa is on small indie label (and that has both its ups and its downs when it comes down to releasing music), but Mollie's era has been so much more satisfying this far, and in every aspect. Not only is the music much better, but so are the visuals, and it's so exciting to follow the song on iTunes.
(But, yes, I know. Smaller vs major label, etc. )
Actually Ellie's song was released just this morning after it got played on Radio 1. So the fact that she's behind Mollie for now is understandable, but it will change.
Still, Mollie is doing great nonetheless.
Slaying! #19
I'm curious as to what the midweek will be already haha
Don't expect too much, streaming might be low and it will bring her down.
Don't expect too much, streaming might be low and it will bring her down.
Is streaming a massive part of charting now then? Not really caught up with how things work haha
Very much yes. This is why you gotta cross your fingers the label has a plan to make her more popular on these platforms, otherwise she will suffer a lot from it.
Ah, I can see how this can fall back then!
Mollie is totally the type of artist that would be #17 on sales and #58 overall
18 now!

I hate this thread with passion.
I always forget that Totto hates chart stuff and doesn't find it interesting.
Top 10 was a bit optimistic, it seems to have slowed down but yaaaaaaaaas at top 20
this makes me miss those Sunday Fundays when we would watch The Sats race up the iTunes chart before some twat like Pixie Lott comes over and steals the Gold. Those days were magical.
Ellie Goulding has knocked this down a spot but I think she might get ahead of Fifth Harmony. Don't see her making it any higher than #18 though.
#18 United Kingdom
#36 Ireland
#58 Spain
#79 United Arab Emirates
#111 Brazil
#192 Sweden
Also #1053 in the US, #892 in Germany, #849 in Canada, #273 in Australia, and #270 in New Zealand.
She is also number 1 on Music Videos. Which is something I guess!
US smash!!
Imagine she eventually went into bubbling under or the dance chart or something in the US though.
If this is actually a success in the UK I can see them pushing it worldwide. You never know!
Also I've been rooting for Anne-Marie until about two hours ago, go dooooown Anne-Marie
Is it featured in the first four songs on Hot Songs today on iTunes? (or do you have to swipe for it /it's not there at all).
I'm very impressed at how well it's done so far - would have been nice to see it in the top 10 but I doubt it'll happen.
Looking likely of her peaking at 18 on iTunes today, quite disappointing considering how good it all looked at 1pm.
Very pleased with that personally! I believe it's matched the success of WAYWF as well, which is impressive considering no pre-orders and her technically being a new act. I'm hopeful it can stay in the Top 100 until she starts her radio tour next week.
I think it's great. Even if this doesn't do amazingly well her next single could be dynamite but it would have been nice to see a small TV performance this week. Is it out on Streaming?
I'm very pleased as well.
Not only is this so much better than what I ever expected, but also charts have changed and hit songs are built through many weeks, not the first one.
Hopefully that helps it hold onto #18 for a bit longer!
Some updated peaks outside the Top 200:
#268 Austria
#270 New Zealand
#270 Australia
#318 Italy
#616 Belgium
#741 Canada
#831 Germany
#944 United States
#949 France
Also still rising in Ireland. Up to a new peak of #32.
Is it really on the USA charts?
I genuinely thought this would, at best, go top 100 on UK iTunes only, never mind #18 and also showing up on various charts round the world.
It was #32 in Ireland but it's back at #36.
Still #18 in the UK. That will be the peak for the week I think, but that's still insanely better than what we've all expected.
She's doing quite poorly on streaming though, so definitely do give it a play on Spotify please, guys!
Doesn't it take ages for songs to build on Spotify, though?
Well, define "ages"? Certainly not one week for suuuure, but I mean, it won't hurt her.
Well I dunno much about Spotify and streaming but I was always under the impression that songs just take a while to build and that most OA/OS releases do well on sales but struggle initially with streams, even those from big artists? Like, I don't know if any songs tend to debut on Spotify and start smashing immediately or not, I mean maybe it's pretty common to do shitty on Spotify on the first day of release and we're worrying for nothing?
No, you're right. Obviously "struggling" is subjective as some big artists might not chart in the top 10 right away because of streaming, but it's decent enough for them to chart in the top 40 whereas Mollie won't.
But yeah, hits are built through time and are less front-loaded than in the past, mainly because of streaming.
------
Just saw the top 1000 in France. COME THROUGH MY PEOPLE!
I think you're both right. Yeah, I wouldn't expect her to be getting many streams at all just yet (especially considering the music video has only managed 15,000 views so far, which is a whole other story) -- usually only very established artists, anticipated releases, or songs featured on the Spotify homepage have a strong start with streaming. Streaming usually goes hand in hand with airplay. I would, however, like to see it getting streamed a bit more at this stage. Spotify is showing 13,600 streams so far, but it also said the same number about six hours ago. It must only update once or twice a day. So it could be doing not-so-bad? I definitely don't expect it to enter the Top 200 anytime soon though. I don't think NGU or WAYWF ever entered the Top 200 and those had some airplay.
Well, define "ages"? Certainly not one week for suuuure, but I mean, it won't hurt her.
Nelly *.*
She needs to stablize her position at #18 so she can either rise a bit or again stabilize in the top 25 through the week as she does her radio tour.
Guys, chill, it will do better with streaming. She is a 'new' artist who needs to establish radio play for it to smash
Yes, the song is going to plummet regardless. There's nothing to keep it afloat. I just hope it can inch up a bit more before that happens. I fully expect it to nosedive out of the Top 50 in the next few days, but that's really OK. The fact that she made it as high as #18 probably just helped her chances of getting radio support immensely. Dua Lipa only made it to #24 initially and Anne-Marie only made it to #33 (these are the two most recent comparisons to Mollie I can think of) and they've done just fine with radio support and are both going to manage Silver singles. Very hopeful at this point!
Up to #28 on Ireland now.
Been pretty steady, surprisingly but we're only barely through Day 2, so I'm not putting too much thought in that.
However, Zach, if you ever feel like it, keeping updates in her Spotify streams would be very nice. ( I'm saying That because you did keep updates on their simgles quite often in the past, so yeah you'll be good. )
Having this moved to the front of Hot Songs has has steadied the song. I'm pleased.
185 on Spotify!
YouTube views have shot up, too.
Come on Island, payola your way through streams!
Top 200 is nice. Hopefully it manages more and more streams each day instead if just stablizing, or worse, dropping.
A pale red update as well as Charlie Puth climbing and climbing means it will get knocked off from the #18 spot, but it's perfectly alright.
Down to #20
#22 now
Flop, let's face it, Una is the only one with a chance of going top 10 with a song about her womb
Okay now the worst part begins - watching it plummet. We just have to hope it climbs on Spotify (if you go to the Livepopbars website you can view the Spotify charts) and try not to worry too much. The charts are completely different now and it can take ages for a song to peak.
Sigh.
Wow! Didn't expect it to enter the Top 200 on Spotify so soon And happy to see YouTube views are up as that number was dismal. I read somewhere that she was having a VEVO Q&A last night but I'm not sure that ever actually happened.
Please can you guys promise me not to get too dramatic when the charts starts looking worse ?
It's just Mollie.
Totto why do you dislike when people take interest in chart performance? Genuine Q, I'm just curious?
I wanna see Mollie $mash, this song deserves it.
Oh, I was being sassy due to your "It's just Mollie" comment. And I love that GIF Totto, I've never seen it before
Happy to see this has peaked so high on Itunes, some may think 18 isn't that high but I wasn't even expecting a Top 100 placing overall, so it'll be nice to see her achieve at least (hopefully) a Top 40 placing, if she can manage to stabilize around 20-30. Hopefully the streaming will rise along with radio play, but her youtube views are increasing and I heard it on Capital earlier so I have hope.
CompareMyRadio doesn't want to update with anything else than the BBC Radio 1 plays it got.
Compare My Radio is trash. It doesn't find things, also the song could be there like 6 times with different tags so it's so hard to find.
They took her off the first four Hot Songs, which is why it went from stabalising to freefalling.
climbing on Spotify is more important than iTunes anyway.
YouTube can be important too and she has a nice video, so that should help!
I don't think it'll be in the Spotify top 200 tomorrow. Hopefully it'll get added to some big playlists soon though.
It's not... Meaning it didn't manage the 25k it needed to.
This is no chance of making the top 50 now.
It's going to be a really difficult battle for Mollie to gain support now, I really hope a radio station takes a chance on her.
As it's her debut single the radios might take a chance I mean they must know that it's near impossible to get anywhere without radio support. She has her radio tour this week coming so we should just wait and see what happens!!
Back in the top 4 "hot songs"

Oh, great news!
Oh, great news!
Still hanging on at #38. Surprised it isn't out of the top 100 already.
Agreed. It actually inched back up to #37 for a minute there. Glad to see that this has had some staying power. It's only going to help her chances with radio and streaming.
Down to #39
Agh! If only she had something to stabilise it for the rest of the week so it remained top 40 - I doubt a radio interview in Scunthorpe is going to cut it Just 1 or 2 TV slots on GMB etc., would be enough - Next week they can hit us with a 59p price cut and some remixes added to streaming as promo starts to build.

Christ it's down to #87 on iTunes.
How is it doing on streaming? Is it improving?
Out of the top 100 on iTunes now.
Damn. It held up really well when it was released but clearly radio support needs to kick in ASAP or the song is dead.
It managed 411 238 views in a week which is really decent.
Sad to see it leave the top 100, but I'm not losing hope just yet. ISLAND COME THROUGH!

Still a decent update, although I thought she would have stayed above the 100k mark for the second week.
She's now averaging only about 13,000 streams a day. Something needs to happen NOW or I fear this might be dead in the water.
I'm actually expecting Mollie to get a performance on Strictly, she promised there was television promo coming and it's very reliving to see that it's #373 on iTunes and not close to dropping out etc. Bitch needs to drop to 59p on Friday and promote the following week and get that new peak of #84.
Although The Saturdays have had more airplay than Mollie in the last '30 Days' (Uh, Oh Oh).
^^ I'm not convinced a Strictly performance would even be enough, it's done little for Rebecca Ferguson who is coming for that #127 hit. Would love to see Mollie get a huge TV slot though and a 59p reduction with a 1 CD signed single for the loons
I don't think I've ever seen an upcoming pop act in this time and age (2016, streaming and all) perform their first single on Strictly + release signed physical CDs.
Usually how it works is that they throw a lot to the wall and when something finally sticks by itself, they start the actual big promo.
What About Us went top 200 on iTunes this week
That's impressive and unexpected, even with the discount. So according to the OFC What About Us has sold 408,000 not including streams, so I wonder where it is overall?
Would be great to have all updated sales including streams, wonder if anything is coming for a certification yet. Would be awesome for Ego and Higher to go Gold, I'm always hearing them played when I'm oot and aboot.

GOD..HURRY UP AND GET BACK TOGETHER.
I miss them so MUCH.
100% we'll never get another album now, it's such a shame I wish It hadn't ended on a Greatest hits but the album that was planned.
Anyone know how to find the plays of a song on Spotify?
Higher has surpassed 10 million streams on Spotify.
Get Ready, Get Set has also been set as the featured song on their page.
And I had no idea White Lies had so many streams. It's the second most streamed OYR album track, only 22k behind Faster! Where are Jonjo and Liam?!
Sean, you just hover over the bars on the far right of each song to see the number of streams.

Shitting hell it is down to 67 on UK iTunes already.
Sunday Brunch promotion tomorrow should hopefully back in the top 50 on iTunes
Down to #94.
#105, Sunday Brunch did nothing! They are really afraid to have her perform, huh?
I don't think the song would translate live very well but I expected a better response.
Back up to #99, but damn though.
If only the label would be able to get the "na na na na na na" part as a backing track on on an ad or something. Sax being on the Asda ad over Christmas really did help it out a lot as it was on TV every two minutes!
Not sure if it's a X-Factor boost by mistake from last night, but The Saturdays - Issues is currently at #1424 on iTunes!
Do TV appearances normally help a song when there isn't a performance attached?
It depends on the caliber of the act/the track but I don't think it's boosted Ellie's sales for SITWYM and shes pretty big, for example.
Hair Down is down to #225 on iTunes.
Well, it's fairly obvious that their whole plan is to use the Strictly promo machine for this... if it'll work or not is yet to be seen.
(It probably won't.)
Mollie King - Hair Down #452 (iTunes)
Probably my last update before we find out it hasn't charted
Mollie King - Hair Down #453 (iTunes)
Currently no Sats tracks in the top 1500 either.
Are Brett and Una anywhere?
Oh 'Incase You Didn't Know' is rather beautiful isn't it? It's currently #154 on UK iTunes and #53 on Irish iTunes!
Too bad that Spotify counts the plays of the solo and duet versions together, so we'll never know for sure the impact of this release.
UK iTunes
134. Brett Young - In Case You Didn't Know (ft. Una Healy)
721. Mollie King - Hair Down
I don't know why, but In Case You Didn't Know it's shooting up on Irish iTunes today. #32 right now.
Una is at 274. with In Case You Didn't Know (Brett Young) on UK iTunes.
Meanwhile, Mollie has fallen out of the top 1500.

Spotify Top 10.
01. What About Us
02. Higher
03. 808
04. Ego
05. Issues
06. Disco Love
07. My Heart Takes Over
08. Greatest Hits Megamix
09. Anywhere With You
10. Notorious
Wow at 'Anywhere With You' being streamed more than 'What Are You Waiting For', 'All Fired Up', 'Notorious' and 'Not Giving Up'.
Their Spotify top 10 is so random
It really is! Not sure how My Heart Takes Over has managed to gain a footing as one of their currently most streamed songs, and 808/Anywhere with You is very random.
The most likely explanation is that the label/management/someone has put those tracks in certain playlists with some decent following.
And I swear I'd never heard of the GH megamix What About Us and Higher seem to be the only songs on major playlists so I'd guess it's just less casual GP plays (apart from their biggest hits) meaning songs that are more popular with the fans getting higher up, although as much as I bop to 808 I fail to see it being the 3rd most popular song with fans
Issues is getting played a lot on Magic tv in their winter playlists
The Megamix plays mostly come from me.
It’s impressive that they’re managing at least 1 million plays a month, considering they’ve been inactive for three years!
Back To You is now more played than Hair Down on Spotify...
Oh dear
What About Us has again been reduced to 59p! It must be close to something!
White Lies has entered their Spotify top 10 *.* Ngl 50% of it's plays in the last week are probably me, probably their best song for me now, overtaking 'Higher'.
Yes Andrew! you secret Stan, I’ve never seen you post here before!
Flawless taste, Andrew! *.* Glad to see you posting again!

512. The Saturdays - What About Us (feat. Sean Paul)
Nowhere to be seen iTunes top 1500 prior to Vanessa on Celeb.
Shrieking at Vanessa saying multi-platinum girl band though
Hoping Finest Selection goes top 1500
Multi Platinum?
Chasing Lights and.... The combined sales of all their other albums? Or are Headlines and Wordshaker together enough to count Platinum sales if we do what we like to and call it Headshaker and claim it was released as the 12 track version after third single Missing You...
Yep sorted it...
Una's appearance on Opry Dhoire has made the album climb to #56 in Ireland, which is nice.
To be fair, although it doesn't work that away, so it's still bullshit from Vanessa, Wordshaker + Headlines does equal to a platinum certification.
More depressingly, a combination from On Your Radar + Living for the Weekend probably still doesn't equal to a GOLD certification.
More depressingly, a combination from On Your Radar + Living for the Weekend probably still doesn't equal to a GOLD certification.
What About Us
Spotify:
#128 United Kingdom (NE)
#138 Ireland (NE)
A real triumph for them is to have completely transcended the success of their breakthrough hit, Up. It seemed like an impossible task during their first campaigns, when even if they did decent numbers they could never replicate the success of their beginnings, and in the end not only they did (singles wise), but also Up has kinda been forgotten, never to be seen among their Spotify top 10 and with lower plays than Issues, for the sake of mentioning another single from the same era. It seems like Ego has taken its spot as the prominent 'classic hit.'
So nice to see a Sats track back in the Top 200 on iTunes, especially one other than What About Us. All Fired Up #153 and #86 on Pop.
All Fired Up back in top 200! 😍
All Fired Up is now in their Popular Top 10 list on Spotify, in at #10.
808 crossed over 2 million streams recently, it's still in 3rd place.
It’s not there anymore but I remember seeing Don’t Let Me Dance Alone at #10 a few weeks ago, it’s a bop but so random
808 being 3rd for a good few months now as mentioned before is weird also!
It's so weird! I wonder what helped 808 climb as high as that? It remaining so consistent seems strange, but maybe it being directly behind What About Us & Higher is helping to keep it afloat?
Their #10 song seems to change quite regularly! Over the past few weeks I've also seen Just Can't Get Enough & Notorious enter briefly.
Another strange feature of their popular list is My Heart Takes Over, currently in 6th which makes it their 5th most streamed single currently.
808 the single that never was.
I thought it could be that the Sats don’t get much ‘casual’ streams anymore minus perhaps WAU, Higher and maybe Up as they haven’t been active for a while so songs not necessarily known much by the public can get high up (that explains White Lies) but 808 isn’t particularly popular amongst the fan base iirc, certainly not that it would be their third most streamed track! It doesn’t seem to be on a popular playlist either. Don’t Let Me Dance Alone is even more baffling The not many casual listeners argument seems less likely when you consider the Saturdays monthly listeners are quite high for how many hits they have well remembered by the GP, as much as I love them.
Loving the 808 and MHTO appreciation!
01. What About Us (20,180,966)
02. Higher (12,919,746)
03. 808 (2,125,106)

05. Ego (5,278,379)

08. Greatest Hits Megamix (603,901)
09. White Lies (931,320)
10. Just Can't Get Enough (2,700,528)
What Are You Waiting For (1,181,700)
Not Giving Up has less plays than 'White Lies' and 'Greatest Hit Megamix' with 463,477
My Heart Takes Over has gained 10,000 plays a day in the last three days and is now their fifth most popular song on Spotify *.*
The GP are making up for not buying it in 2011, talent always wins eventually x
It'll be on a playlist in a country somewhere.
Daily stream average for their top 10 lately:
What About Us - 18,083
Higher - 16,137
808 - 8,051
Disco Love - 7,845
Ego - 5,991
Issues - 5,034
My Heart Takes Over - 4,286
GH Megamix - 3,607
Just Can't Get Enough - 2,878
White Lies - 2,789
MHTO gaining over 10k streams a day for the last few days seems really weird if it's daily average in the last six days is less than 5k...The Sats streaming fanbase never fails to confuse me!
Not them retroactively saving the On Your Radar campaign by making My Heart Takes Over a hit.
Those daily streams seem....a lot...
I'm pleasantly surprised at those numbers, but they do have many bangers. MHTO to go Silver in 2056!!
WHERE THE f*** IS 808 GETTING THESE STREAMS FROM?
At this rate My Heart Takes Over will go Silver before Forever Is Over
Spotify only shows the top five playlists that features songs from them though. 808, My Heart Takes Over, the Greatest Hits Megamix must have been included in other smaller lists.
White Lies has now exceeded 1m on Spotify (1,006,549)
'808' is actually generating around 100,000 plays a week
I always get shocked to see 'All Fired Up' (4,800,631) and 'Notorious' (4,063,468) not top 10 on their most played, 'All Fired Up' really needs more exposure on Spotify. 'Up' has horrendous streams to of (1,556,441) and at this current rate 'White Lies' will overtake 'Up' and 'What Are You Waiting For' in the next two / three weeks.
Also at this rate 'White Lies' should overtake 'What Are You Waiting For' on streams which is absolutely tragic. 'If This Is Love' is their less streamed single with 700,000 streams followed by 'Up'.
'808', 'Anywhere With You' and 'White Lies' are the only non singles to pass 1 million streams with 'Anywhere With You' having 1.14m streams (WTF) 'Faster' has 822,000 streams so should pass one million eventually along with 'Don't Let Me Dance' alone with 777,000 streams.
Finally the 'What About Us' solo mix has 2.3million streams which is actually a rather decent number.
Finally the most streamed Girls Aloud track is 'Sound Of The Underground' with 7,557,861 *.*
Neon Jungle, 'Braveheart' is on 14,780m and was actually ahead of 'What About Us' for a lot of last year.
Sugababes 'Push The Button' is on 22,673,692, it would be good if 'What About Us' could overtake that!
Remember that Up also has the album version, and If This Is Love has a radio edit!

Album & Single versions of Issues / Work / Ego / Higher are combined on Spotify
Sean Paul & Extended versions of What About Us are combined on Spotify
Album version of Forever Is Over isn't available to stream on Spotify UK
Lol at 808 being on the verge of passing Forever Is Over's combined streams.
Up (Radio Edit) was included on last week's Throwback Thursday play list... I was hoping that would help it go into their Popular Top 10!
'Up' mustn't have got very much streams then as I'm sure 10k would have been enough to put it back into the top 10!
'My Heart Takes Over' is flopping down to 8th on their most popular list.
Ego reclaiming it's rightful spot in their top 5.
Greatest Hit Megamix now up to 6th on their current most played on Spotify
5th now!
I’m still in shock that 808 has 2.5m streams? 1m more than What Are You Waiting for!
01. What About Us
02. Higher
03. 808
04. Ego
05. My Heart Takes Over *.*
06. Greatest Hits Megamix (Close to 1m streams, looks like this will be their next 1 million streamed song)
07. Disco Love

10. Just Can't Get Enough
Boo at them not releasing 808 or White Lies.

#195- Una Healy Never See Me Cry
Poor Una not on new release Friday again!
Hair Down has the highest solo peak on iTunes doesn’t it??
I forgot about Back To You
Congratulations to '808' which has managed 3 million streams on Spotify! 'Just Can't Get Enough' has also just passed 3 million streams! It's actually incredible they're getting over one million a streams a month considering how long they've been split for.
'Ego' also passed 6 million streams this week and 'Higher' passed 15 million streams!
Higher has overtaken What About Us as their currently most popular song on Spotify.
I know it doesn't particularly matter, but 808 staying firm in third place, My Heart Takes Over in fourth and White Lies 10th just seems weird to me. I wish that Up, Notorious and All Fired Up were occupying their popular Top 10 instead. Are 808/White Lies randomly on popular playlists?
Oh how strange! I suppose the fact it's third place and behind the very popular What About Us and Higher has made it stay afloat, because of that prominence. Hmm! I wonder what made it get to third in the first place though?
'What Are You Waiting For?' found rotting x
Is it really though xx
808 is on "The Sound of Pop" which has 19k followers, not huge but enough to push it slightly for an artist who don't get a huge amount of streams.
‘Higher’ is in classic pop playlists!
I’m just shocked how much of a streaming advantage ‘808’ has over ‘What are You waiting for?’ I wonder if ‘808’ has outsold it yet?
Just when you thought their Popular Top 10 list on Spotify couldn't look any weirder, this happened...
1. Higher [17,030,456]
2. 808 [3,724,258]
3. My Heart Takes Over [2,524,596]
4. What About Us [23,780,936]
5. Greatest Hits Megamix [1,516,106]
6. Ego [6,678,812]
7. Issues [5,032,434]
8. Just Can't Get Enough [3,336,454]
9. Disco Love [7,343,081]
10. Not Giving Up [3,284,151]
808 (a bonus track) & My Heart Takes Over (one of their least successful singles) currently more popular than What About Us (their #1 hit and biggest selling)
Not Giving Up has recently pushed the album track White Lies out. I'm really surprised that Not Giving Up is being listened to more than All Fired Up, although I could say that for a few of the others within the Top 10 too! I suppose Up is nowhere near Top 10 because its streams are pretty much evenly split between the album version and the radio edit.
Their streaming numbers are so bizarre! It baffles me seeing 808 with so many streams in comparison to some of the others.
Omg :’) I did think it was maybe a playlist, as ‘Long Hot Summer’ is hardly a Girls Aloud classic and it’s 4th on their most popular due to a playlist (and they have a similar amount of monthly listeners) but I can’t believe that 808 being buried on a playlist with 18k followers would make it their second most popular song...My Heart Takes Over, the megamix and previously White Lies/Anywhere With You/Don’t Let Me Dance Alone all having been in the top 10 at one point are very weird
I’ve looked as hard as I can (my Thursday night x) and I can’t find My Heart Takes Over on any playlist with more than a few hundred followers. just HOW is it being streamed more than a gold selling #1 hit
Their monthly listeners on Spotify is 1.3m which is their highest in months! More than any other band during their era Jls,Wanted,Girls Aloud, Sugababes etc
Queens
Disco Love is 14th on Throwback Thursday, first time in a while they’ve had a song on TBT
Can somebody see Disco Loves current plays?
Issues also up to their 5th most played song! Get those ballad streams!
They currently have 1.4m monthly listeners!
Actually so impressive, ‘What About Us’ should reach 24M in next few days and 808 should reach 4M
What About Us should reach 24million plays today *.*
Disco Love is now their fifth most popular song, TBT helped them get 70k plays *.*
+ 30 Day replaces Not Giving Up, in at #10!
What About Us has passed 24M streams!
MHTO now at #2
:damn:
The streaming giant of on your radar confirmed! Re-release album tbh
just HOW
It's only their 15th or 16th best seller out of 18 singles (I'm unsure whether it's ahead of Gentleman or behind it). So for it to be currently their second most listened to single, even ahead of What About Us... wut ;o Completely baffling :')
^ At least it’s not Forever Is Over xox
That’s not even top 60 on Spotify tbh x
I'm glad, I always thought it was underrated. As random as it is.
I’m actual surprised they’re managing 1.5m streams, 600,000 more than Girls Aloud which always surprises me!
Higher 18m streams and my heart takes over should be on 3m tomorrow
What are the streaming like for wordshaker new songs?
Also wow at higher
808, the hit that never was
I don't understand how they are getting so many streams. Not mad about it, but super confused
Disco Love could also be coming for Silver sooner than later.
They have to be benefitting from Spotify radio or whatever it's called when someone listens to a station based on a song/artist. I was visiting friends recently (in America) and Higher came on one of those "stations."
Ego is on the TBT
*.*
Current plays 7,146,295
Ego being called a throwback breaks my heart Where has the time gone?
To think it will be nine years old in October and it has been eight since it's release as a single!
Ego managed 46,000 streams yesterday
They have had over 1.6m streams this month *.*
According to The Sats Spotify twitter, ‘Work’ is their least streamed single with just under 900 plays per day which is less than White Lies, Faster, Don’t Let Me Dance Alone, Walking Through The Desert and their cover of When Loves Takes Over apparently!
I’ve said it a lot but their most random songs are slaying :’)
That cover still baffles me as to the random choice but seeing it outperform work???
30 days is now their tenth most played

What About Us is included on Throwback Thursday today! It's also moved ahead of 808 in their Popular Top 10.
24,771,285 streams!
It should hopefully gather around 60/70k streams from this and hopefully re-enter the top 200 on Spotify!
157. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us
What About Us now up to second place in their Spotify Popular Top 10 list! Still find it highly random that it ever slipped behind My Heart Takes Over & 808.
Not Giving Up is back at #10, knocking 30 Days out.
I wonder how actual low all fired up and notorious actually are!
Omg they’ve changed the main version of higher on Spotify to the non flo rida version on their top tracks
Disco Love is at 8,053,000 now so got 240,000 streams in the past month. Surely it will be Silver eventually?
The public spoke, 'My Heart Takes Over' was ahead of it's time etc
I just find it funny that '30 Days' even gets more streams than 'Notorious' and 'All Fired Up'. In all honesty I believe 'All Fired Up' would have been a streaming smash, it could have been on dance playlists, pop playlists etc.
When Love Takes Over is 8th in their most popular list, has it been added to a playlist?
do we have any idea of the saturdays end of year Spotify wrapped / streams stats?
They've added their entire discography to U.S. Spotify! I can finally stream On Your Radar!
Thought this would be a great time to post a Spotify update as it's the first of the year. I wasn't able to access the Just Can't Get Enough video mix and some b-sides.

MHTO having more streams than Notorious is homophobic
Higher has gotten 844k streams in four weeks! That's insane.
What About Us has gotten 371k. Ego has gotten 340k.
All the rest have gotten less than 300k.
Disco Love has gotten over 200k and it's just a matter of time before it's Silver. Wish we could get a sales update.
Why on earth is 'Higher' increasing at such a fast amount, it's not even on any popular playlist!
Ego (3rd) has climbed above 808 (4th) When Love Takes Over (6th) is now higher than Disco Love (7th) 👀
What About Us included on today's Throwback Thursday play list, I wonder if that'll be enough for it to get back to being their most popular? (It's currently behind Higher).
Higher is still gaining incredible streams though *.*
Hopefully what about us increase by 40-50k tomorrow though. They’re gaining 1.5m streams a month, Spotify funding their comeback single *.*
Higher is getting around 50k plays a day. Queens
Disco Love has climbed to 4th place on Spotify! It was only 7th the other day. I'm guessing it was included on a Valentine's Day playlist??
