Robbie Williams gives master class entertainment on Pinkpop

"Hello, anyone under 30! You probably do not know me but I stormed the charts ever by an obese version of Justin Bieber. " It is the self-reflection and humor that pop star Robbie Williams (41) features.

Pinkpop

Robbie Williams

Yet teens Pinkpop the final Saturday concert for cohorts must have been the first meeting with Williams. His last real hit was Candy from 2012, but also in the years before his continued presence in the charts limited to a few short trips. For all the ignorant and for anyone who just had forgotten how good a mass Williams can play if he feels like, freshened He memory on Saturday with a true master concert entertainment. Because, as proved the former Take That star, you have to be no so-called credible rock artist to a big festival like Pinkpop play all over. Zelfspot Williams' self-mockery and anti-pop stars behavior still sometimes turn into indifference on stage, but Pinkpop he proved that the younger generation of pop stars have certainly should consider it. He was the Pinkpop adolescents initially perhaps indeed a remarkable figure with bleached hair and flapping coattails, but soon found no one resists his overdose stage charisma. And Williams also has a virtually inexhaustible reservoir of radio hits from roughly the period 1998-2008 at his disposal. Come Undone, Let Me Entertain You, Millennium and She's the One; the Pinkpop audience embraced them all like old friends. The covers - a pumped We Will Rock You, a barbershop version of R. Kelly's Ignition and even Bohemian Rhapsody - fit perfectly into the show wonderfully balanced between pastiche and pop perfection. Stunt course, Williams is no outstanding singer stunt with his great vocal range. But such considerations do not count at Williams. He is one of the few who get a crowd of nearly 70,000 people at the end of the evening until the last spectator so far as to echo with Angels lustily.

I watched the gig live online tonight - because I've watched barely any of it I didn't know what was coming next so it all sounded fresh to my ears which was great. cool.gif

He did really well. From periscope a little way back - the crowd weren't particularly animated although they seemed to be enjoying his chat (which was funny). He (probably wisely) left the devil horns and the kilt at home. happy.gif

He kept in the swing bits but kept things moving along pretty rapidly. I think he was up for it and enjoyed it.

This was my favourite bit. I was applauding him from my settee wub.gif

It mus be scary doing those festivals especially when a lot of the audience are really young & probably never heard any of Robbie songs , his is a great entertainer though & is well able to get a crowd going , I bet he finds it tiring though , you can be sure he has to put in a massive amount of effort into his performance...

they mean that usually pinkpop features rock or indie bands or upcoming acts. Robbie is a mainstream artist. But all papers were blown away and so were some young members of groups who had performed who were interviewed.
The reporter they send to pinkpop are often really young and so they were surprised. You could recognize it with the tweets. The prominent tweeters who I know from television who are older were not surprised. but the younger ones now really get Robbie and his art and live performance

I thought that. Mentally it must be really tiring putting that amount of effort in to get the people behind the front rows on your side and engaged in the performance. I think you can see the physical effort he puts in from some of the photos this morning.
No wonder he feels wiped out afterwards.

Hopefully he feels he did a good job though and that it's worth all his effort. He could just be taking life do much easier than he does but just seems to want to keep moving forward.

CONCERT REVIEW
Robbie Williams at Pinkpop: triumph of oily Bieber ****

He served himself at Pinkpop off as an "obese Justin Bieber", but the set of Robbie Williams in the least hinted a puffy superstar. The show opened with traditional 'Let Me Entertain You ", and the request he consented for nearly two hours. Just no one mourned more about the Foo Fighters.

By Gunter Van Assche - June 14, 2015

"Anyone over thirty, let hear!" A stormy cheers rises in Landgraaf. "For anyone under thirty, I want to introduce myself well ... I'm Robbie Williams, born in 1974. I went to school, buisde, joined a boyband, got fat, got to the drugs, emaciated, went to rehab, Mathews was thick, sang "Angels" and conquered the charts as an obese Justin Bieber. " Hilarious how Williams extol themselves as eager as reviled. "You were amazing," he will be at the end of the show also sigh. To add then dried to add: "It feels like it's 1999 and I'm a superstar again." Witness his record sales of Robbie Williams, the star may indeed be some tawny, but its niche as a headliner at Pinkpop he still knows justify with brio. As a roaring stallion trots the 41-year-old pop star on the stage, where the jukebox constantly jumps from hit to hit, while with other people's classics. Thus, Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" on "Kids 'stuck, and go' Royals 'by Lorde precedes' Millennium ', which is also broken up by '99 Problems' by Jay-Z. Passing further in the set: Queen ('Bohemian Rhapsody'), George Michael ("Freedom"), U2 ("I Still Have not Found What I'm Looking For") and Oasis (Wonderwall). "I wrote that last song," Williams monkelt afterwards: a witty nod to his much-discussed feud with the brothers Gallagher. Speaking of feuds: the stage, the pop star to be surrounded today by bunched talented veterans, most notably orchestra Guy Chambers . That was between 1997 and 2002 for five years in charge of Robbie's greatest successes, but then suffered heavy damage on partnership. Nice to see that this tandem ride back. Back to the show! The public is continuously played like a violin, and the Grand Gesture cautions Robbie revue nor: Singer brings' You're The One "as a serenade while looking deep into the smoldering eyes of superfan Ilona. Another girl asks again on stage, and when he 'Angels' a lot of people leave fraternize with each other. Everyone hangs in each other's arms. Today, Williams has nothing to promote. Nothing to prove. Would it be that the show has such a tremendous joie de vivre? No record company which currently puts him through the hoops, no pressure in the boiler. Even his memory he must not speak a teleprompter delivers instant the text, each hit known to the public at Pinkpop indeed audible from outside. Shamelessly, he makes the same audience for almost two hours the court. What ... a ... show. No dead time, nothing too little. No ticket for TW Classic? What are you waiting actually for?

Robbie Williams in Athens: Hold Tight Greece!

“Hold tight, Greece!” was the political message British singer Robbie Williams sent to 30,000 Greek fans in his first ever appearance in the country.

The multi-platinum entertainer’s show in Greece took place at the Terra Vibe open air site in Malakasa, 37 kilometers from Athens on Saturday. Williams came on stage at 10:30 pm and for two hours he sang all the international hits of his long career in front of an ecstatic audience that never stopped dancing and singing along.

“Sorry it took me so long to come here. I did a lot of drugs and went to rehab so I didn’t go to many places, but now I’ve stopped. Frankly, I’m sorry I did not come sooner,” the 41-year-old singer told the eager Greek audience.

To compensate for never performing in Greece before, he asked the audience, “What would you say to renew our meeting in 18 months from now?” The audience shouted with all its might, “Yes!” “Thank you,” said Williams, adding, [color="#FF0000"]We will meet again in 18 months.”[/colo

That' s entertainment!

Robbie Williams, Rockwave

Ten out of ten, a hundred to a hundred. People and "monkeys", sons and fathers, twenty-five thousand smiles-would agree: it was one of the best concerts in Malakasa and in our parts in General and the Robbie Williams, ultimate entertainer. Whoever tell you another thing, it just wasn't there.

Convey impressions of a concert-show, in first person, that is not built on technology and in effect despite the soul and undisputed great talent of the Central hero. Who from the very first moment sent word that will give them all, that will not hold anything back and that no motion-smug megalomania from those that characterize most big idols of pop-no place near him.

Myself, I feel that been the satisfaction of the world together and surprise of host thermotatis in his first concert in Greece. Closed and appointment for his return, in eighteen months, whatever that means.

Let me entertain you-says the tour and this, with the timiwtero way, did. With his hits and songs that not playing in concerts. The Me and My Monkey told him, much like the Greek audience and played superbly to delight the world. Brought his father, Mr Peter, on stage and sang along. A more familial Gaga version by Tony Bennett.

Upload a robbiegirl from the audience and he's ' in the show with him. Was adapted from U2 as Oasis and Queen in a mini tribute to past-was separate the swing part of the concert with unstoppable energy with akapela moments, humor and self-depreciation, tying in a way his relationship with the audience as if we had started the concert with a stranger and turning with a friend.

The My Way in the end actually had meaning, like the movement that made his coworkers (and "stolen" watching him from the side to leave in the dark scene) it was an evening that "wrote" for everyone!-the first concert in Greece, at a time when all eyes are nailed up.

And to tell you this: that a big chunk of the show's success is due to the amazing Robbie's band, with loud musicians including guitarist Phil Palmer for example, who has played with Eric Clapton, Marc Knopfler etc and many others, but also a possible session brass that have upset, I guess the forest animals. As I was saying, and the other friend, ultimately That ' s entertainment!

All these new countries Robbie's doing - he's saying he'll return - the former USSR countries, Spain.

If he means it - the next tour is going to last months.

If he adds on South America too - how is he going to get through them all?

Was it good? Yes, it was good.

Robbie Williams delivers engagement, singing and a twinkle in his eye. Tact and toner sit where they should. The band plays flawlessly, and choir singers are tonsäkra and the sound is just fine.

The crowd is awake, sing along and clap their hands.

However. Where. There. Good?

No.

It was a cavalcade of covers and antiquated old man jokes.

Robbie seems to forget that there are social media nowadays. That we actually have an eye on that he has a wife and children.
But a nd the he sell himself as "attractive casual man seeking woman."
It is so outdated and unsexy. If he were bound to be sexy.

In true Robbie spirit he picked up a girl on stage. "Ann from Sweden."
It's really nothing new you should know. Have you seen it once, the feeling to replay close.
He was well-used bed chamber trick since he became a solo artist. And it's fun for anyone who can come up on stage.
If it's for real?
But it's so jääääkla trite. And boring. And trite.

Did I say boring?

Come on. It's 2015.
Modern times.

Or am I just jealous that it is not I?
Yes, it may well be.

No. Robbie needs to grow up. Get a little update on the world and realize that it does not need to make jokes old man jokes to be good or fun.

Then he needs someone to tell him to run his own songs.

We want to hear him sing his own songs.

I saw someone tweet exactly the same thing tonight from Denmark.

They gave him five out of six stars. They took one off for the covers. They asked why he did them when he had so many hits of his own.

I heard a little bit on Periscope tonight. He did Supreme the proper way. It sounded great. cool.gif I wondered if he was going to shake up the set list a bit but then the stream went down. wacko.gif

The bit I heard - the crowd sounded up for a good time. He sounded in good voice too smile.gif

Desperate Robbie Williams closed Tinderbox karaoke show

The English fop tried to hide a pauver musical effort with a spectacular show.

REVIEW

Let's take the positives first: It was an enthusiastic and his usual witty Robbie Williams, which closed the year Tinderbox.

As pop Kavalari he came riding into with grand gestures and a fanfare of laser light, impressive visually on huge screen with brass horns, dancers and ready made jokes that actually still work.

And Tinderbox was ready to accept the English man of the world that still has the pub smřrede grin on his lips. The square was filled to the brim with ease, and the sound came completely out of the trees.

That said, it was a musical belly flop of rank. Robbie Williams could not even lift his musical hit parade with his winning character, but during the hour and a half on Sunday night in the pouring rain was his charm all he eventually could cling to. Meanwhile, he conducted a massacre of a karaoke show with his own and especially other people's songs.

To the dresser and back again
With a rumble-and-bang version of 'Let Me Entertain You' put the 41-year-old Englishman from the country as usual.

The excessive Tintin hairstyle was set with hydrogen peroxide, and after 'Rock DJ' we got the usual input message that he was "f***ing Robbie Williams 'and for the next few hours," you ass is mine!'.

With a twinkle in his eye, he presented himself for those under 30 - as a name that big in the 1990s, as the man who walked out of school, came with the boyband, thick, lost weight, got into rehab was thick again and wrote the song 'Angels' that made him a millionaire.

We were invited to nostalgia trip and all hands went from side to side under 'Monsoon'.

Hefter capsized it.

Robbie Williams did not limit itself to scroll grinning around his own back catalog of million-selling songs like 'kids' or 'Come Undone'. As if he were a musical jukebox from the era of snow on the TV screen and landlines braided he as many songs as possible under way.

It could possibly have been entertaining in itself, if it were not so disastrous to hear.

First with an unusually sloppy version of U2's anthem, 'I Still Have not Found What I'm Looking For', since in the form of a takrummende barbershop version of R Kelly's 'Ignition' and insulting whining attempt to hit the nerve of Lordes 'Royal'.

Robbie Williams has not exactly been a better singer over the years. The boyish vocals sounded most of Tinderbox concert as a squeaky falsetto. Still, he threw himself into both new and old classics. It was the pure blue light. Also when he flippant charm broke into Oasis' 'Wonderwall' with the words:

'Do you remember this? The I have also written! '.

With his latest swingprojeker in mind, it's like that no one around Robbie Williams has dared (or nćnnet?), Saying to him, listen, if you need to sing Frank Sinatra's' My Way 'or just get away with Queens' We Will Rock You ', spit gum out and tighten the buttocks. Otherwise it will be damn embarrassing.

It was so in exchange for full Peel, when Robbie Williams unblinking threw himself into a duet with just Queen in 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Such an arch British song that Kanye West also took it as a companion song in his concert Saturday night at Glastonbury.

But the West at least put a little force her voice and triumphed in England, Robbie Williams sounded like an insecure teenager who just croaked a few pivfalske stanzas between Freddie Mercury show of rock opera. How leveling to the greatness of that song stuck to the ground. And exhibits ufrivlligt its own limited abilities.

All this did not prevent Tinderbox audience to have a party. Perhaps because they sang so loudly that they had long ceased to hear the 2015 edition of Robbie Williams singing 'Candy', 'Angels' and 'Feel'. Or maybe because the green laser light with drifting clouds made Williams the service to remove the focus from the music.

For that is what Robbie Williams is reduced to today. A pop musician, who with a racket in bright colors try to avoid to relate to the songs and bet everything on the lowest common denominator. It gives the show a desperate tang - and the concert was it then.

The critics had to be expected. But the crowd seemed to have fun as far as I read the tweets. He needs more self esteem for his own songs and he needs a lot more self esteem for the next album and tour when it is not about greatest hits

You would think that if he saw the reviews and everyone mentions the too many covers thing that he would amend it? especially when he has so many songs to choose from.

Even the most glowing reviews have mentioned it as an aside.

Although ironically - probably the one thing that is uppermost in reviewers minds because it's so long is the Bohemian Rhapsody performance and that's the number one thing I wish I were seeing.

Trouble is with not seeing the show - it's hard to know what to think. Until you're actually there with him in front of you performing, it's hard to form any opinion on the set list etc. confused.gif I think if I saw the show I would enjoy the covers because I like how he switches around his songs but to compare to say Lionel Richie's performance at Glastonbury on Sunday -If he had started singing other peoples songs - I guess it would have seemed quite strange.....

That puts it in context a bit for me.

He has plenty of songs to play around with, nit sure what goes through Robbie's head at times. Is his dad coming on stage at the festivals, I mean that must be really weird, can you imagine what the young crowd are thinking tongue.gif

I guess he goes with his gut feeling of what he thinks works and going by the reviews so far most of the time it does. Apparently he said on chat how much he is enjoying the festivals. I wonder if there is a stubbornness there - although he does shuffle set lists around generally doesn't he?

It'll be interesting to see if there are any amendments to the next one which is this weekend.

Don't ask me - I haven't a clue about the festivals laugh.gif it could be the 17th July - on RW.Com someone said it's an "ID" number not a postcode confused.gif .

I know the next two though - Belgium on Saturday and then Rome on 7th. Apparently the weather forecast is for 36 degrees on Saturday so it will be very warm. They're allowing fans to take drinks in and parasols as there's no shade there.

Yes - I've just checked - it is the 17th July. I think he's got loads in July. I hope Ayda and the kids join him. smile.gif

Robbie Williams TW Classic: fun, fun, fun ****

Robbie, as has been proved after thorough study, is a machine built for the stage

The unstoppable hitfabriek not believe in foreplay, or in hard, far and fast. But the same Robbie, that darn devil that the whey has been put into question a five thousand marriages, mastered the art of the quickie: three minutes he is in and out, and he has done everything he should do. 'Supreme', 'Millennium' and kopstootbinnenkomer 'Let Me Entertain You "there is much argued about, but not that they are not perfect sing-alongs. We counted twelve musicians on stage, and that is no coincidence: not hesitate to call them apostles. The Church according to Robbie, that is piercing British self-mockery, brazen flirtation and unshaven armpits. He could spot no woman in the audience or gave them a nod ("nice tits!"), But there was also, as the acclaimed Irish comical Dara Ó Briain would say, "something for the dads': singers with three of Englands most robust facades. Robbie Church is open to everyone, and there is no one to escape. Even if the hit emometer in red and Robbie a song ('Twinkle Twinkle': ooh) dedicated to his daughter Teddy, we could have it all. He allowed it. Occur even with kilt and tiger slip, itself the style of Wesley Snipes in "Demolition Man" snitch (check YouTube!). When he recorded a cover of Queen and when he asked a girl on stage: our best. Show how many men get away with it? How many musicians we pick it? We can count them on one finger and they all called Robbie.

Robbie Williams © Alex Vanhee
Beautiful Moment Musical

For the reasons we refer you to the flawless manner in which he and bullshit out of trouble, and the incomparable way he roams around the stage - and only one English adjective can be summarized: cock sure. His quotes too! About 'Wonderwall' "Here's another one that I wrote." About "Ignition" by R. Kelly: "This is the eerstje song that my father taught me, and that he learned from his father." Over his career: "I was something in the 90s, I was fat, I went into rehab, I was skinny, I was fat, I went into rehab and then I became a millionaire." And occasionally, just to show that he can do it, load it in between the show moments - exactly the same in every stop of the tour, the seemingly improvised binding texts -. A Beautiful Musical Moment, such as 'No Regrets' After eighteen hours watching the eyes of the head on the ship whose captain Robbie was, we were in 'Angels' - guitar and all - ready to hang on the karaoke machine, and believe us free: we will never ever hung on the karaoke machine. The time to do scornfully, and the word 'Eurovision Song Contest' to drop, but also the time to warble along shamelessly and to forget that life is so short. Robbie, as has been proved after thorough study, is a machine built for the stage.

You had to do a lot on TW Classic. Drink fluids, for example, and a Cap. And remember to lubricate again after you go through the water nozzles. But if there's one thing was that you had to do, not Saturday it was Robbie Williams learn how he became a man of sixty thousand with a smile on the roodverbrande face back home. Because who read a book about rasentertainers, which will see Robbie Williams since the pressure of 1997-the year of ' Angels '-on the cover. Give him only a game of pim-pam-pet instead of a microphone and a festival audience he delivers two hours of the time of their life.
The classic opener ' Let Me Entertain You ' still has given none of its effect; no man that there is no extra shot got sprayed in the veins of zest for life. If it had to some Dutch are that really thought that Derry would win the Tour-prologue. No, at Robbie Williams was no place for down-hearted souls, the Meadow was reserved for shameless feelgood and razor-thin romance. Michelle Williams because his songs to each other with spielerei, clownish slapstick and an irresistible itself putting into perspective. The girl on stage with it if needed some gentle visual gags and to everyone under 30 suggested Williams politely for himself, with the summary Biography: "I was born, joined a boy band, stepped out, was thick, was thin, went into rehab and became a millionaire".
But between all those cheerful nonsense were numbers where each festivalwei for goes flat. Songs for the ages from 8 to 88, songs with old rockers and young whales feel the same; pure fun and upsetting optimism. How could it be otherwise: a fiery ' Come Undone ' culminated in a Sung en masse "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For '-a giant Campfire time. Williams, sided with everyone behind him to a lullaby for his little daughter present, drummed a fanfare for the polonaise cracker ' The Road To Mandalay ' and left a swing Orchestra ' Minnie The Moocher ' lustig juggling by Cab Calloway.
A striking number of covers in the set Besides, by Jay-Z and the Beastie Boys over Lorde and Frank Sinatra to Led Zeppelin and Queen. The cheapest of which covers had the musty odor of karaoke under the armpits, but the public had already learned to just that kind of onfrisheden today. Completely shaken off its status of cover: ' She's The One ', an endearing invitation to dearly slowen, who also was accepted with both hands by whom there really no place for.
When Williams conducted thousands of arms from left to right during the Millennium, you could not imagine how he ever has to share the spotlight at the time of Take That. On stage was a performer who is born to solo to live out and there, with all look on him, even the flowers for receiving it. "I just want to feel real love", at the end in ' Feel ', and so it was too. When he made his greatest asset ' Angels ' uitspeelde, nor Williams was sure a lotta love and affection.

Robbie Williams in Bucharest: Exquisite show, 60,000 enchanted fans. “Romania, you’ve been wonderful today!”

Famous British artist Robbie Williams delivered an exquisite show in the Romanian capital on Friday night, singing his hits “Angels”, “Rock DJ”, “Let Me Entertain You”, covers like “Freedom” and “My Way” and telling short funny stories to the public.

More than 60,000 fans who came to downtown Constitution Square also had the opportunity to meet Robbie’s father, who sang “Better Man” alongside his son.

Allow me to introduce myself – I am Robbie Williams and, for the next two hours, you are mine – this is how the artist began the show, electrifying, melting the hearts of and at the same time amusing the Romanian audience since 9 p.m. sharp till the end of the show.

Williams took to the stage while a band played “Carmina Burana” and the name “Robbie” was rising on a huge screen behind him. He went fast to the song that gives the name of his tour – “Let Me Entertain You”. When starting “Rock DJ”, the artist got rid of his jacket to stay only in a vest and coming in front of the Romanian fans in a black kilt towards the end of the show.

Williams learned to say ‘good evening Bucharest’ and ‘thank you’ in Romanian, he waved the Romanian flag at the end of the performance and was astonished to see the high number of fans who came to see him outside Bucharest’s landmark People’s House, that hosts the Romanian Parliament.

Still astonished, the artist crossed himself, bowed to the audience and confessed: I didn’t know I am so well-known here. That is…I know I am famous in England… but I didn’t expect you to be so many.

Robbie made a quick funny autobiography in front of his Bucharest fans – I was born in 1975, in England, I sang in a boys’ band, I went into rehab, I left the band, I went into rehab again, I got fat, I lost weight, I wrote the song named ‘Angels’ and I became famous.

The fans were humorously tested if they knew the lyrics of his songs and of other bands too – Oasis’ “Wonderwall”, U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “Back for Good” sung by his former own band Take That.

When tens of thousands of Bucharest audience began singing “Back for Good”, Robbie smilingly told those backstage – You see? I told you to put this song in the programme…

He also performed “Road to Mandalay”, “Feel”, “No Regrets”, “Love Supreme” and “Millennium”. Swinging, a style the artist had dedicated an album to was represented by “Ignition” and “Minnie the Moocher”.

One of the highlights of the show came when Robbie brought a young woman from the audience to stand by him when singing “Candy”. He said: I know it’s a bit embarrassing, because your husband is here… but do you want to come to my bed?, he asked and led the young fan to a vertical bed on stage, on which pastel-coloured images were screened.

When called back on stage after the 90-minutes show, Williams paid homage to the artists he loves by singing a cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” , which he dedicated to Freddy Mercury and “Freedom”, a song of George Michael.

He asked those present to sing “Happy Birthday” to George Michael, who celebrated his anniversary a week ago.

Among the last pieces of the show were “Angels”, which the Bucharest fans sang several times during the show and the final song was a cover of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”, which Robbie dedicated to his father-in-law.

Thank you, Romania, you’ve been wonderful today! Sincerely…I didn’t know I am so famous here. When I got on stage at ‘Let Me Entertain You’ I was frightened. I hope you’ve had a good time and I hope we’ve been up to the expectations, the artist said, also calling his father to tell the audience ‘good-bye’, according to Agerpres.

Shortly after the show, Robbie posted on Twitter: “Bucharest: sometimes it’s that good it’s indescribable. As good as any show I’ve ever done…you were unbeatable tonight”.

"Dredged" by Robbie Williams on the big stage

PALEO - A spectator has experienced a moment out of the ordinary with the pop star on Monday night.

The English singer has picked up a young Romande 29 years in a bed decorated during his show.

Although not an absolute fan, Celine Perret wanted to see Robbie Williams closely during his Monday night show. The least we can say is that its a two hour wait to be at the forefront have been rewarded beyond their expectations!

Presenter at Radio Fribourg, the young woman had the pleasant surprise of being "marked" after a third concert, then see flower compliments against her. In front of 30,000 people, "It was not at all intimate," laughs the bubbly fan. "He asked me my name and did not understand it, because Céline is typically French and it became a play. Everyone was trying to help."

Will follow an improvised song specially dedicated to the muse for a moment: "The kind of thing where you look with loving eyes and where we fall," recalls Céline, who even treated to moult compliments for twenty minutes before going on stage ...!

"A person of his team came to me and asked me to go over the fence to go up to Robbie." The next five or six minutes of happiness, Celine described as the moment "the most fun" of his life. "He asked me if I wanted to go to bed with him. Of course, I said yes. He told me to go to a place of the scene, but I not know that on the screen there was a bed and that represented us saw it. "

Gentleman, Robbie Williams held his hand all the way, remembers Celine. To prevent the "invited" not freezes, the star continues the burst compliments. "I think he realizes what he did live to a public person. He knows that the heart beats strong and it's a moment that will remain etched in her memory. He was a benevolent across, looked into my eyes, told me some kind words in the ear and escorted me down the stairs after the song. At the human level, he has been exemplary. "

The soft words continue to fuser while following the concert, before an ultimate compliment to her and to another fan. "When you have gifts of life like that, you have to enjoy them. Having great scene with Robbie Williams single Paleo before 30,000 people, it's an incredible opportunity, "says Celine.

The ultimate good news: the husband of Celine in the audience, has clearly not been more jealous than that, he who even filmed the scene. "That was the show. He knows how to separate things. "

Robbie Williams King of Motörhead Second and final stage of his Italian Let Me Entertain You Tour. We were there. And what we thought him write here

Dear Robbie, now we know for many years and we know what to expect from your concert. Or at least, we thought we know. And, instead, again, you've surprised. It was a great show, but this is unknown. You're always a great entertainer, artist brash, singer able to engage your audience like few others. But he had become accustomed to the big stage in recent years. With show where there were more scenic effect of vocal performance, plus the set of contact. And how much you can be comfortable on a small square in the province, we could not imagine . In Piazza Napoleone, Lucca, have involved the public in as many artists, Italian or otherwise, should learn to do. You talked, asked questions, joked, you're given one hundred percent, showing a Robbie new, calmer, happier to be with his audience. And yes, even more in tune. You have staged a lineup that on paper could not please the most loyal fans and instead was perfect, with songs of Queen, U2, Lorde well, that one wonders why those who have assets eleven solo albums needs singing songs that were not his. And then, however, feel the public response, mixed, super diverse, with people there even as tourists who want to see a good show, and sing happy, because they are songs that everyone knows. By the way your hard-core and there was everything. The almost forty (we pretend not to count the years) grew up on bread and Take That were many, many. Now grown, a bit 'nostalgic, remembering how it all began and then changed, the day you left the band . You wanted to remember, too, singing Freedom , thus, a cappella, alone and together with them, under the surprised faces of those who came after he asked why I was singing George Michael.

Today you are here, stronger than all (or at least the other three ) that would almost want to say to the fans of boyband today that goodbyes sometimes do well (hello do with your hand to the fans of Zayn . No, those Jason did not think). Certainly he did to you. You brought your songs on stage, did you bring your dad on stage and Better Man in duet with him was one of the best moments. Years pass, and dear Robbie, kilo more pounds less ( San Siro for a couple of years ago we remember all), for the six of us is always will be the king of pop , we wanted to tell you this. Because today, after many years, maybe you do not follow the same again, maybe we do not learn your latest album from A to Z , and surely we are no longer in love as when the room was full of posters (thank goodness, comes also to say at our age would be worrying, is not it?). But if you get stupid in the delivery room , we laugh. If one comes upon you the news we read, if ads a concert, buy your ticket yet, now. And maybe the day before leaving, if the concert is in another city than the one we live in, regret it as well, those who do "with 'I'm hot mica want to really go to Lucca?". But then we are under the stage and you recognize, is like an imprint, and rethinking goes away. Maybe because we do remember 'as we were', perhaps because every song is linked to a memory, most likely because you're really good. Yes, there is even those who love you and from the front row crying and dreams to marry you (which, if you're in the front row and dreams to marry him and he spends the whole evening to talk and joke with you and gets you well on stage, how many slaps you give for not having never studied a little bit of English? I wonder if Francesca front row tomorrow he enrolled in a course), but most of us. Those who now are already married or super in love, with children, or maybe not, but no singles you dream any more. What do they sing only occasionally. At least 364 days a year. But do not worry, when we come in to your stage, in those 120 minutes of song and laughter, we are still all yours. So do not worry about anything, after a concert so you can be sure that it will be forever. The lineup : Let Me Entertain You Rock DJ Monsoon Come Undone / I Still Have not Found What I'm Looking For The Road to Mandalay Better man Freedom She's the one Supreme We Will Rock You / I Love Rock 'n' Roll Candy Feel Royals Millennium / 99 Problems Whole Lotta Love / Kids Bis: Bohemian Rhapsody Angels Feel My Way

Either or I would say - although he did say that they had to get the song list cleared.

Karl Brazil tweeted that they are home for a while now so it seems no more private gigs for the forseeable.

I'm guessing back to LA now then.

Robbie was on chat this morning and I got a little reply from him at 7 am smile.gif

I asked him how the kids were and he said Teddy is loving school and he thought by the time he gets home Charlie will be walking.

So that's a whole month they'll be apart then huh.gif

Anyway his reply put a smile on my face first thing biggrin.gif

This tour has given all the fans what they wanted. I have spoken yesterday with people in the office about concerts. They are aged between 25 and 55 and the range of taste varies from metallica to Nirvana, Robbie, and home grown music.
All of them has been to many concerts of other artists either and there were two topics everyone agreed in:
Freddy was the best (interestingly also the young ones say that)
and ...during all concerts people want to listen to the hits. The older and more established the act is, the more the audience wants the hits, the new stuff is nothing they care about, because of the memories they have to the old songs and so on.
This is what Rob did. The hard core fans want the ne songs. But those filling stadiums and arenas want the old hits. He is a smart man. I hope that his new album will have the potential to add some classics for the general fan

Posted by: Sydney 16th October 2015, 06:15 AM

I guess it's true what you say about the hits Elisabeth, I went to see Don MaClean recently & I wanted to hear the hits & the songs that I knew & brought back certain memories for me , Robbie is right . New songs are for another day . I often wish though that he would sing Phoenix From the Flames in his stadium tours etc, it's a great song that nearly everyone knows , I find it very emotional wub.gif

Posted by: Laura130262 16th October 2015, 11:46 PM

Yes he is smart - he knows what people want - although personally I would love to hear him sing Blasphemy or Life Through A Lens or anything from Under The Radar. It's great that he's doing Me and my Monkey and Hot Fudge. Plus he did Sin, Sin, Sin a couple of times didn't he?

He doesn't perform anything from IC or Rudebox does he?

I think in the future he could poll the fans via his website and ask what may be two album tracks everyone would like to hear and then he could sing the two that garner the most votes. Other than that on tour - he needs to do the hits for all those that aren't front row. Maybe he could vary the hits and do Eternity or Radio or You know Me, some of the lesser performed hits instead of say Come Undone or one of the other biggies. He's got such a huge back catalogue to pick from.

You know that is a really good idea Laura , might be worth putting forward as a suggestion on Upfront chat when he next tours. Yes I'm sure he has Elisabeth - I'm sure he's said "big album next year". Also I'm sure I've read he's said no tour next year (hardly surprisingly).

He did say briefly there will be a Soccer Aid next year too cheer.gif but didn't elaborate any further. It was literally five words worth.

He's barely been on chat for months anyway and I only actually saw it once.

The tour has gone amazingly well. I watched the Brisbane one on YouTube this morning - I really did enjoy it.

Hopefully he'll be really pleased with himself. He should be smile.gif

Well they have polled people on there as to which song they want video'd from the last night of the tour so they may well be thinking of doing something like that anyway.

Fingers crossed your brother has a really good night. smile.gif

I watched the whole of Melbourne day three this morning on Periscope and he was f****ing fantastic Tess. I loved it -his energy was amazing, the mash up of the songs I enjoyed, all the new little ideas they have to keep the shows fresh. He was engaging. He spotted a 6 year old in the crowd (!) and sang Frozen to her. At the end before My Way he got such rousing support from the crowd - I think he was a bit taken aback.

The whole thing was great. I so hope this is the Robbie we see in 2017. The rocky stripped back Robbie. He looks amazing. wub.gif

I wonder what happens to Robbie when he comes back to the UK , he seems to lose his confidence , is it to do with the press .... I like the stripped back Robbie as well , this part of the tour seems to be going really well & the reviews he got earlier in the year were very good as well. Have you've downloaded the Periscope app Elisabeth?

After that you either have to be following a person who is doing it or (which is what I do) follow a link that someone has posted that takes you directly to the person who is filming it live.

For some reason here he seems to think he has to put on loads of props and confetti and shiny suits and horns. dry.gif

Whereas in Oz he seems to know instinctively that it isn't what they want to see so he cuts all that excess stuff out and the show is far better without it (IMO)

I'm hoping against hope he keeps it this way for our next tour.

He always seems at home in Australia and I think that translates in his performance. Here in the UK it's far more cynical and I suppose he wants to do extra well in his home country and that increases the nerves and decreases the confidence.

I think come 2016 it will be three years since his last album release and he will feel a lot of pressure of his own making.

But for now he should just feel proud of what he's achieved this year. cool.gif Worry about next year, next year. smile.gif

I saw posts about new songs for a new album by Tim. Is he speaking about 2016 album or the next one? Somewhere I also saw that there is an announcement for something this week?
And what did he mean when he says to Regine he will be back in France in 2016?

I don't know if you're a member of Upfront Elisabeth? They're very good in there and always post periscope links although I think the twitter feed Robbie Williams MBE are good with links too.

You do need a certain degree of patience with Periscope because very often the links go down after a couple of songs or (understandably) the people who are filming get fed up so stop mid gig but I guess it's early days and when you think of the technology involved the whole thing is amazing. You are relying on someone's unselfish kindness during a gig that they've paid a lot of money for and invariably, queued a long time for their place at the front.

On Saturday the same lady who was right at the front filmed the whole gig and all the links stayed up. So for about an hour everyone watching had a front row view of the gig. It was great. It really was like being there. Also because I don't watch gazillions of old clips, a lot of it was fresh to me. I really was blown away by how good it was smile.gif

Yes I wondered about back in France in 2016. I'm guessing if he's coming over for Soccer Aid (fingers crossed) maybe a private gig? New album must be the 2016 one.

What's HB Carter? I don't know what that is?

I think even taking away this "secret" thing he's doing, there still seems to be plenty going on work wise over the next few months. I don't think he'll be disappearing anywhere, he'll just be doing whatever he's doing from LA.

Brilliant four star review from Sydney. cool.gif

Review: Robbie Williams puts on a pure pop show in Sydney, flaws and all http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/...27-gkk6e7.html via

This bit sums him up for me

A Robbie Williams show, not short of lasers and strobes, big noise and bigger gestures mind you, is a reminder of how you can win, how you can kill, by being really human. Just more so than any of us could manage. Oh yeah, with cracking song after cracking song. And then another cracking song.

That's a real pop show. This is a real pop star. Maybe the best around.

Robbie Williams entertains Sydney

Review: Robbie Williams puts on a pure pop show

28 OctRobbie Williams put on a pure pop show in Sydney last night at Allphones Arena. The ex Take That singer opened with a simple demand - "Let Me Entertain You". That he did and then some! I'm loving reading all these brilliant reviews from Australia.

It's been a real triumph.

Makes me proud for him. wub.gif

I was thinking - this could be the secret of his success you know. By being human, making mistakes, overcoming them, trying hard and moving forward. Writing brilliant songs along the way. Maybe that's at the heart of why he's been successful for 25 years.

I remember Gary Barlow saying about RW vulnerabililty "his biggest weakness is his biggest strength" I think he's probably right.

I think Gary got pretty spot on about Robbie , it is his vunerability that appeals to people & he is a way better singer/songwriter than he gives himself credit for, he brings out the emotion in people s great at making that connection with the audience when he is on stage, it's a natural talent that he has

Sad that he can't just ignore one negative review amongst all the wonderful positive ones he's had.

He never comments or even acknowledges the positive ones but the second someone posts something negative, he's on to it. mellow.gif

Posted by: Laura130262 2nd November 2015, 12:09 AM

News from Upfront today re his plans. smile.gif

New album, new show, new TV show, then writing for a swing album. He's writing with Karl Brazil when he gets back to LA together with Danny and Kelvin from Stoke.

I wonder if he means a swing album after this album?

I'd like a few more pop albums before another swing but loads seem to love it.

I'm happy he's going to be busy for the next few years and not going anywhere. smile.gif

Another swing album , that was unexpected

New show, new tv show ....wonder what that is about

I also winder what he means with new show and I am sure Hugh Jackman will be on the swing album this time. :-)

"Writing for a swing album" is different to bringing out a swing album. I hope we have at least two pop albums before then.

I guess he's just keeping his options open.

Lots to look forward to anyway.

Yes it is interesting

I believe Robbie to be genuine in his reaction to the article but what happens after that is pure theatre.

Who knows who gains or loses from it.

We made it to the finish line! What a great tour and a great year. Can't wait to do it all again. @robbiewilliams

I've read him say he'll be back in 18 months twice now.

Makes me think the 2017 tour will be huge.

Posted by: elisabeth1973 4th November 2015, 05:04 AM

he said it in different venues, Laura. I also think that 2017 tour will be huge and maybe he can also enhance his profile with whatever TV show he does, like the osbournes back then, maybe

I find the whole thing rather unpleasant , it was quite obvious that this Simon Sweetman did not like Robbie as he had absolutely positive to say but that's the way it is in showbusiness , they need to forget about it now & move on

Posted by: Sydney 4th November 2015, 06:24 AM

Overall the tour has been a great success .....

Posted by: elisabeth1973 4th November 2015, 08:43 AM

I Always think it is a different to make a negative review because the artist is not my kind of person or his/her music sin't my music. This is normal. This Simon ...was though only mean for being mean, likely expecting the reaction. But sometimes you cannot help yourself although ignorance would have been best

Posted by: Laura130262 5th November 2015, 12:43 AM

Yes ignoring would have been far better but he's human and he reacts. That's what makes him Robbie apparently he was on chat first thing this morning at the airport waiting to board a plane home so by now will hopefully be back home with his family smile.gif

I've got it on my Ipad not on the PC.

I just downloaded the app onto my Ipad and then you need to know who is actually filming the gig and follow them.

For Robbie - some nice people on Twitter or Upfront put up the links there and then you just click on them and you're through.

You need a certain degree of patience though because the links can go down at the drop of a hat due to bad connection but I guess it is very early days and the technology will improve in time. smile.gif

The best one I saw was the last Aussie gig - the person filming was right at the front and she carried on filming the whole gig - it was literally just like being there. It was great. dance.gif
