I'm An Albatraoz to come dead last (wishful thinking) and What Kind Of Man, Wildest Dreams and Body Talk to make the top 10 at least!

24. Bakermat - Teach Me
Score: 17 Votes: 3 In last place it's Bakermat with his second single Teach Me. It was the follow up to debut One Day (Vandaag) but couldn't match its success, missing the top 20 and only managing 1 week in the top 40. It also received by far the fewest votes. Not a big loss for me as it was a huge comedown from his sublime debut. |

23. Lost Frequencies feat. Janieck Devy - Reality
Score: 24 Votes: 7 Lost Frequencies debuted in a huge way with #1 smash 'Are You With Me' in the Summer it was interesting to see if he would go the way of the true one-hit wonder or manage anything noteworthy thereafter. Follow up 'Reality' made it to #29 and only managed a sole week top 40, which turned out to be a decent result considering its initial progress. Shame this is so low, another nice track from him but it was always going to be in the former's shadow. |

I actually prefer Teach Me to One Day (Vandaag) (unpopular opinion). Not bothered on Reality though.

22. Robin Schulz feat. Francesco Yates - Sugar
Score: 28 Votes: 8 Robin Schulz had a huge 2014, having a hand in 2 of the biggest #1s of that year. Since then his chart success has been relatively modest until the release of Sugar which returned him to the top 40. This actually came very close to cracking the top 20, peaking at #21 last week however it has a had a very good run regardless. I'm not huge on this track, something I don't mind hearing but would never actively choose to listen to. |

21. Format:B - Chunky
Score: 29 Votes: 6 The dance songs continue to fall as next out is Format:B with 'Chunky'. The old school sounding track had an identical top 40 run to 'Reality' - one week at #29. Initially I didn't like this but it eventually grew to the point where now I'm disappointed it's finished so low. The video to this is great by the way. |

20. AronChupa - I'm An Albatraoz
Score: 30 Votes: 6 Yet another dance song out, this time the year's closest novelty record in the shape of AronChupa. 'I'm An Albatroaz' conquered most of Europe but didn't do quite as well on these shores, peaking at #25 and managing 3 weeks top 40. I'll take 20th position as a personal victory considering I didn't even expect it to make it through the Semis |

Thank god that atrocity isn't any higher. I'm An Albatraoz makes me want to bash something.

I only started remotely liking Albatraoz after this ad:

19. Sheppard - Geronimo
Score: 31 Votes: 6 Australian band Sheppard finally impacted the UK charts a whole year after topping their native chart but it was a very minute impact in comparison, scraping in at #36. I'm not a fan of this track really so was quietly relieved it never took off proper. |

18. Nero - Two Minds
Score: 32 Votes: 7 Nero had an extremely successful first era but their second was anything but. Lead single 'The Thrill' flopped completely and whilst 'Two Minds' did mange the top 40, it was yet another in this countdown to spend just the sole week there, at #27. A big shame but their output just hasn't been as strong this time round (though I did love The Thrill ) |

17. Ella Eyre - Good Times
Score: 33 Votes: 8 Ella Eyre has experienced mixed success with releases thus far, her solo singles tending to do considerably worse than her featured. 'Good Times' concluded a run of four successive tracks to miss the top 10 however this one performed worst of them all, only peaking at #37. A huge injustice for a brilliant song, my faves aren't doing so well in this year's comp |

16. Adele - When We Were Young
Score: 36 Votes: 8 For a good few folk, 25 was the most anticipated album album for many a year and after lead single 'Hello' sent records tumbling, the hype was only going to increase. When the album eventually dropped, it was expected a number of album tracks would enter the top 40 however when it became clear none were available for streaming that put pay to that. When We Were Young became the lowest peaking single to be top 10 on the sales only chart, yet another track spending a sole week at #29. |

15. Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money
Score: 37 Votes: 6 Rihanna's comeback last year was a stuttery one to say the least. 'FourFiveSeconds' had a lengthy run in the chart but the follow up rather less so. The controversial track limped in at #27 and could only add two further top 40 weeks. We shall see if this year proves more fruitful for RiRi. |

14. Madonna - Living For Love
Score: 39 Votes: 7 After both performing and being literally dragged off the stage at last years BRITs awards, Madonna returned to the top 40 after an absence of more than 3 years. The change in sound brought about a #26 peak after temporarily topping the iTunes chart earlier in the week. |

13. Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants What It Wants
Score: 42 Votes: 11 Just outside the top half is Selena Gomez who got her first UK hit since 'Come And Get It' at the start of last year. The downtempo track earned her a top 30 position but she would go on to have more success in the shape of 'Good For You' which is still to feature. |
