The Godzilla video has been released on the Lyrical Lemonade channel where Juice Wrld found his fame.

'Darkness' is really hitting me now, one of his best tracks in years imo, has to be pushed to radio!

The production on the album is quite strong but I don’t actively really like anything on it that much.

For me it’s like an entire album of tracks what are like a 4-5/10.

The exceptions being Godzilla, Darkness and Those Kinda Nights.

Tbh for me a lot of Eminem’s albums are too long for me and I end up just going back to around 4-5 tracks on them. But when he’s good he’s good laugh.gif

Yeh those three are the highlights for sure.

But Darkness is a 10/10 for me so it's worth it, it's just class the way he raps about stuff like that that's been so impactful in US culture in recent years.

Was listening to The Eminem Show again due to it and it really reminds me of my youth - nearly all 20 songs are 11/10!

I have returned to this album three months down the line and am really enjoying it. This is definitely not what 47-year-olds sounded like in my day, musically or lyrically. We had to make do with Rod Stewart making Tom Waits songs even worse! Every single time he drops a new album the critics tell us he's irrelevant now, doesn't connect with young people etc and then his album goes to #1 in 100+ countries around the world. It's almost as if it's wishful thinking. Has even had a pretty massive streaming hit this time round, and you don't get those without vast portions of the youth being into you. Yes, some of his lyrics are pretty uncomfortable and disrespectful but this has been the case since I was still in school (I'm pushing 40 now) and they are designed to shock and provoke debate as ever. It'll be interesting to see how long he can keep it up for. Doubt he's going to be wind up on Cooking Vinyl or headlining Bingley Music Live anytime soon. Non-single highlights: You Gon' Learn, Yah Yah, Stepdad, Farewell.

I agree with the production comment. The album could've been much better if it was missing a couple of songs and maybe spent a bit more time on the rest - building on the great production which is through the whole album. I doubt it would've made much difference :though laugh.gif

Has Eminems core demographic changed?

Meh, don't have too much to say about this one. Lots of tracks that go nowhere with the odd brilliant line thrown in.

There's probably only 3 tracks I see myself going back to at all: Discombobulated, Tone Deaf & Zeus.

I like the song 'Black Magic' best from the album, production is good and Skylar Gray is great in the chorus. Some of the lyrics are very disturbing though.

'Higher's production and chorus is interesting, and big sounding which I like in hip hop.

Key (Skit) reminds me of a Meerkat advert laugh.gif
