Rolling Stone ranked it at #1 for pop albums and #5 overall. Looks like I spoke too soon

I decided to give the year-end lists of Future Nostalgia a proper thread to avoid them to get lost with the album thread. As far as I'm aware, most of the songs of the album (independently if there were released as singles or not) have made, at least, in one of these publications, so this is a win for Dua.

Another #2 ranking, this time on The Independent's year-end list
https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertai...d-b1775582.html Slant Magazine have also included Physical in its list of The 20 Best Music Videos of 2020 with this beautiful write-up QUOTE For all her skills as a pop vocalist and songwriter, Dua Lipa exudes an aloofness on stage and on camera that could be mistaken for a lack of charisma. With her Future Nostalgia project, however, the U.K. singer has come into her own, no more so than in the colorful video for the album’s second single, “Physical.” Employing a blend of animation, special effects, and clever editing, Lipa literally floats on air as an army of monochromatic dancers swirl around her in a flurry of kinetic physicality. https://www.slantmagazine.com/features/the-...os-of-2020/amp/ |
