Three weeks for What You Want gives POOLCLVB and Rψse the joint longest-running #1 of the year to date. Seriously shocked I slept on this last summer when it only reached a peak of #25 before dropping out. Modern classic tbh within its genre. Just behind this week is a huge rise from Charli XCX's Focus to #2, becoming her highest charting song to date for me, passing former holder Lipgloss (#3) and other hits like After the Afterparty (#5), Love Gang (#5) and earlier this year's Girls (#6). This has a serious chance of becoming her first chart topper for me - so of course is nowhere to be seen on the official charts!

Bit of a clearout this week sees big drops for some of last week's high charters including Your Lovin', Bloom, It's Okay to Cry and Waiting Around. On the other end of the scale, big rises this week come from The Carters, The Light is Coming, Raye's Confidence and BLACKPINK. Highest new entry this week is for the first time in a while a top ten debut, that goes to Birthday Boy and Trish's Magic, one that's skated outside for a few weeks and which I considered sending to the last BJSC. Its chill summer lounge-disco vibe fishes in a very similar pool to the #1. Azealia Banks also has a second top ten debut of the year with Treasure Island; previous release Anna Wintour is currently my most played song of the year, a solid comeback from the controversial rapper-singer.

Additional new entries this week come from Ella Mai, Cardi B, CHVRCHES, The Shires, personal chart fave Carmody, G-Eazy, Iggy, Betty Who, U2 and Uppermost.
I'll link the videos to those a bit later in the week to save you having to imagine what they sound like biggrin.gif

If you can't wait of course, feel free to check out my (linked) spotify playlists at the bottom of this post where you'll find them and a bunch of other great tracks wink.gif

New ones quickly! I am so busy since I went back to 9-5 and actually have loads to do at my new job now so I'm always super behind with these now. Eeep ohmy.gif

12 new entries this week!

Starting off with dancebloc: U2 score a second charter from this era with their random Cheat Codes collab, giving the latter a third charter from their own current era. Uppermost squeaks in at the end of the chart with a new song after surprise-dropping an album a few months ago, unfortunately nothing on it has the impact of his previous top tens Hold Me Up and Talisman (both in 2016). Azealia basically qualifies for dance now too, it's good to see her embracing it, one of the few rappers that sounds so at home over house beats.

Over in rap three big hitters debut, Ella Mai with Nicki Minaj, Cardi's I Like It which...I actually really do like despite myself, it's so damn catchy, and Iggy's Kream which is my favourite thing she's done in YEARS, maybe ever. I really don't hear the disinterestedness some people are getting from it, she sounds like a cool badass bad bitch I think! That ass/cash hook too <3

Few big name pop-indie ones here this week too; another G-Eazy song following his run with a great Charlie Puth hook here, nice to see him diversifying a bit. A new one from CHVRCHES which I hear a lot in H and M/shopping malls, and a new one for Betty Who following a reimagining of herself and a flurry of releases these last 6 months.

And finally a few random ones. Highest new entry goes to chill lounge bop Magic by Birthday Boy and Trish, one very similar to the #1 and the latest in a line of chill summer tunes I've enjoyed this year. This will probably drop off mind, its high debut feels a bit flukey. Carmody's Singing Your Love makes it in after a few months on my B-list it really hitting me, and The Shires provide the latest country crossover pop tune to hit me. Such a dark horse genre I find myself enjoying so much these days.

Next chart up shortly! Appreciate all your comments folks, I'm trying to reach out and hit more of your charts now too!
