Huge cast. The "anticipated" new TV show by Ryan Murphy...
It looks terrible! I'll give it a go due to the cast and the fact Ryan Murphy can start off ridiculously well, but my hopes aren't high at all!
Abigail Breslin, Nick Jonas, Ariana Grande & more also co star!
Nick, Ariana, Lea and Jamie *.*
Hmm yeah doesn't look great but I'm sure Nick Jonas will be shirtless a lot and the cast is strong it'll be worth a watch. It's just a bit lazy that Ryan Murphy has basically carried over Madison Montgomery from AHS rather than writing Emma anything new though
It does just look like a more cheesy version of 'American Horror Story' (so basically a mix of AHS and Glee). Is it meant to have parody elements, because the lawnmower bit is surely from 'Sinister'?
This will be a fun 13 episodes!
I'm excited for this.
Though knowing Ryan, it'll be good for about 2 seasons before free-falling in quality.
Ah I keep seeing this on some of the stars' Instagrams! It looks terrible and cheesy but that is exactly what I like in a TV show. I didn't know that Emma Roberts was in American Horror Story though, she's in far too little films/TV shows for my liking - I may have to invest some time into that!
That's the house from Coven too right?
It's so trash.
I'll watch it.
This looks so cheap and trashy but I love it already.
What are these Coven and American Horror Story things you are speaking off?
Is this meant to be a comedy?
Here is the "extended" opening credits, never laughed at credits before so much in my life!
I managed to watch the trailer and I unashamedly loved it!
I need that song but I can't find it anywhere (minus the screams of course ).
Or is it Lea Michele?
i can't wait i'm so excited for this show
Did anyone watched this.
I thought it was funny in some parts but I hate that Ariana had only 5 minutes role
About to watch the second episode, but the first episode was good. Humourous and watchable. Ariana's death scene was amazing!
EDIT: Just finished the second ep and it was so much better. This show is brilliant.
Where can I watch this? I don't want to wait until E4 show it in like later October.
I thought it was common knowledge that Ariana was killed off in episode 1?
I don't know how I feel about this show though. I dunno if it's missing the self referentialness that makes Scream so good or if its pure camp genius.
Not feeling this, I think Scream is better horror wise
I mean Ariana Grande's death scene was something alright
Ariana added nothing, LIVID the deaf girl has gone so early she was hilarious.
Let's be real, that limited screen time Ari got was iconic as f*ck. CHANEL #2 *.* and getting stabbed then five seconds later sending the Facebook message lol
"I love a creepy collage." *.* *.* *.*
Also ZayDay: "Y'all are ratchet"
Diego Boneta tho JESUS CHRIST
I thought it was pretty weak.
The writing was trying to be ironically trash-tongue-in-cheek funny and it just isn't most of the time. Some of the deaths were pretty cool but apart from that...
I'll keep watching because Nick Jonas.
I actually LOL'd a couple of times when watching the first hour and that normally never happens with me unless it's like "close to tears" funny. I loved Ariana's death with the Facebook status!
Will watch the part II of the pilot tonight. Wasn't expecting it to be so gruesome though (the bit with the nanny peeling her face off! )
I have mixed feelings about it. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I find myself bored. 2nd episode was definitely better
This is so trashy it's good. Shame there's only like 8 episodes
God this was awful
http://www.buzzfeed.com/austinbc97/who-would-be-your-bff-if-you-were-on-scream-queens-1vdfy#.pbZqndE2X
I GOT NICK JONAS BITCHES
this was SO GOOD and i was so ready to be not amused. didn't find it at all forced or boring?
This has a few funny bits but all in all it's terrible! I skipped through most of the second episode it's just too stupid. Was expecting better from Jamie Lee Curtis' role too, that's been one big
But JLC's character is the best one!
I found JLC's bits in the first episode to be some of the least interesting. It was enjoyable enough in parts to give the second episode a shot after ssome people say it's better.
I swear Chanel #5 is the killer. (Have I got my Chanel's right? The one that wants to get f***ed in every way possible)
THIS. IS. INCREDIBLE. I will save my full review for the review thread but OH MY I was crying with laughter at more than one scene and generally found it all to be so much fun, but it all felt kind of...natural. I mean it's obviously an insane universe but it didn't feel like they were going out of their way to make crazy stuff happen.
Just watched the first episode of this and I'm hooked! Ariana Grande tho
Denise & Jamie Lynn's scenes make this show
Denise is my fav character, she is brilliant!
Denise really is the star of this. I LIVE for her shit every episode, especially her FEUD with Zayday.
I just have this weeks episode to catch up on, but in last weeks episode I literally gagged at the part where Lea Michele's character's finger went into Mrs Bean! Very nearly vomited there and then haha.
I think Lucian is the red devil killer as he's pretty sweet on Zayday anyway.
I'm starting to like Chanel #5 now. She seems very underrated.
I think Chad's too full of himself to don a red suit
Who has seen the newest episode? I love so many of the characters but Chanel #5 is giving me life. Is anyone surprised that Gigi is in on it? I had a feeling she might be but I really liked her!
Shes involved at all angles.
Just bingewatched this between last night and now. The pilot two-parter was amazing, especially Chanel Nr 2's death scene which was just iconic.
The show overall is not really as great as it's trying to pass itself for, the writing is a bit lacklustre, even taking into account its parody feel, but it's gripping and it's a wonderful combination of big lols and big scares.
Denise almost single handedly carries the humour part of the show, in a seen-it-all-before kinda way, Lea Michele is giving me LIFE right now and I just knew Gigi was in on it, Nasim Pedrad was just too good to leave SNL for a ditsy small part on a new show. I want her to go darker and darker as we go along!
It looks like Chanel #2, Boone and Gigi are the killers if the previews are anything to go by. I thought Chanel #2's death was a bit suspicious.
I'm convinced its Lucian as he was nowhere to be seen during the red devil scenes in last night's ep.
Or maybe its Grace.
Yeah I was thinking Lucien, but that's so obvious and boring? It'd be like the Scream series reveal again and be really underwhelming.
I would love for it to be someone not obvious at all like Denise or Grace.
Boring. Yeah.
Grace would be fun. Scheming with Gigi as revenge against her dad for lying to her about her mom being killed and her being the bathtub baby. She could have even turned the fryer on before the maid got her head thrown in.
Damn I'm loving this show right now. I'm digging all the Chanel's too, never thought that'd happen. Also Chad's relationship with Chanel OG is just amazing to watch
The most recent episode was the best yet. I love Dean Munch.
I felt it was a bit lacking. I'm not sure why Denise has been missing the last 2 episodes and Zayday only appearing for a 2 second appearance felt a bit odd to me too. Dean Munsch was LIFE though, as ever. Especially the final scene.
Beware of Young Girls. What a tune.
This has definitely surpassed AHS for me. Hotel has been pretty dreadful but this is restoring my faith in Ryan Murphy. No the last couple episodes haven't been as good but I'm still looking forward to this each week.
Also, Chaneloween.
BOONE IS BACK
This week's episode was the best one in a while. It's nice to see that the story is going somewhere again. It also seems as though we can rule out quite a few of the cast members now. If the other Red Devil is Boone's sister then we know it's a white female. We also know it's not Grace because she wasn't born in the bathtub. So one of the Chanels? Someone made an interesting comment about Chanel #4 a while back and I do think it would be an unexpected (albeit a tad disappointing) twist since we've never seen her.
.
The reveal of the killer was completely underwhelming and obvious .
The finale hasn't happened yet so I'm not sure how you know who the killer is? ^^
At the end of the episode it shows you?! ... ''I don't want your first time to be with a murderer'' ....?
Clearly not the killer... as we have the actual reveal to happen, which is a girl? He clearly just turned the deep fat fryer on or something.
Well, no one said it HAS to be a girl. It could've just been to throw us off.
I'd love that... the suspense is annoying me now... I suspect it's Abigail Brennan.
Ps. sorry if I'm coming across as brash or bitchy Jack! Your opinion is your own!
The episode title might seem to act as a HINT, or maybe it's another red herring. That would be at once amazing and a total slap in the face.
Scream went down a transgender route?
WTF AT THAT FINALE
I kind of enjoyed the finale
I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a season finale as I was with this.
The ending, the reasoning made next to no sense, I'm fine with the female in the baby but Chanel deserved a much more fabulous ending.
Yeah, that was the thing that pissed me off the most. I actually really liked all three Chanel's and for the ending to be like that just made it sour.
It's such poor writing! They've spent all series making us like these characters for the final two episodes to be a showcase on how horrible the characters are and how they deserved their outcome... and basically how useless Grace's character has been.
Meh, should've known that it'd be Lea Michele
I actually loved it. It's a parody of our times as well as it's a parody of the genre.
Of course they're all vapid and plastic, why wouldn't they be? Brilliant finale for me, I just wish we'd seen a twist with Chanel #2 instead.
this has been easily my fav series of the year but that finale was BALLS
I'm hoping that there will somehow be a second series to redeem the AWFUL final episode. I didn't mind 'Dorkus' but 'Final Girls' was terrible. The Chanel's were ironically much more likeable than Zayday or Grace, so for them to get that ending is a joke imo.
I'm fine with it being Hester, but the reveal could have been so much better and more dramatic.
I just have a feeling this is going to get a second season, despite reports that FOX hasn't green-lighted it. It's already got a panel slot on PaleyFest.
Also, CHANEL #3.
Okay headcanon time.
I just have a strange feeling that there's another person working with the Red Devil(s) other than Hester and throwing the Chanels in the asylum was just a ploy for whatever's coming in the second season. Case in point: I think Chanel is going to fake her death.
I think, if there is a season 2 (which I fully expect at this point, bar any unexpected smashes in midseason), that it'll be a total reboot, a la AHS. I'd be perfectly happy with that given there isn't really any story left here.
That's what seemed to be suggested in an interview with Lea Michele. I think she said the characters would be the same but it would be a new setting etc. or something.
I took that into account with the headcanon. Whoever the new killer will be was probably already aware of the Red Devi's work and would take that into account with the new setting and premise.
It would be hilarious to see Hester play a victim role.
E4 are billing it as a Series Finale rather than a Season Finale.
Well, I wouldn't really read much into that as we tend to refer to shows at 'Series' rather than 'Seasons' in the UK. For example, when Revenge was ending last year, they billed it as ''the last episode ever''. Perhaps for drama, but yeah I wouldn't take anything more from it than that.
It's officially been renewed for Season 2, Lea Michele tweeted it: https://twitter.com/msleamichele/status/688075713233043456
FINALLY.
http://tvline.com/2016/01/15/scream-queens-renewed-season-2-plot-details/ I AM READY.
Yessss so happy! I don't know how a hospital setting will work but I'm here for it anyway.

10.0 Deaf Taylor Swift (*.*)
09.0 Boone Clemens
Before you say anything about me rating Pete a 9 because I'm pretty sure y'all are gonna question me about it... he actually had one of the better storylines of the entire ensemble. He was pretty much dragged along as a love interest for Grace, but not only was he a double agent (working for the Red Devils and then killing Boone in an attempt to stop them), he didn't even survive through the series. It's a bit Shakespearean tragedy, but it was pulled off so well as a plot twist. Chad is only ranked a 9 because of his one-liners, other than that he got kinda annoying.
09.0 Chanel Oberlin
03.0 Grace Gardner (a total wet blanket, this show didn't really need an audience surrogate and it certainly didn't need one as abysmal as this. The only redeeming quality was when everyone told her she was shit and she kinda just took it, COS SHE KNOWS)
06.0 Hester Ulrich (I was a big fan to begin with, then she kinda got a bit too much, but by the end it was almost back on level again)
09.5 Sadie "Chanel #3" Swenson (grew and grew and grew on me)
09.0 Cathy Munsch (INSANE, but fabulous)
07.0 Libby "Chanel #5" Putney (kinda irritating in the end, the joke wore a bit thin and Abigail didn't quite GET the dynamic the show was going for like everyone else)
08.0 Zayday Williams (great, but totally underused)
09.0 Chad Radwell (it takes a lot of skill to act THAT dumb, so well done. Also, hilarious)
05.0 Wes Gardner (kinda awful in every way, but his basic realisation that his daughter is an awful person won me over)
05.0 Pete Martinez (underused, a bit of a useless tit for most of the series and then that twist just about brings him to evens)
09.5 Gigi Caldwell (YAAAS, even though her she was my second favourite, her death >>>)
02.0 Earl Grey (aside from look super hot, what did he DO)
11.0 Denise Hemphill (DENISE HEMPHILL WILL COME A RUNNIN', god bless her and her general ineptitude but everyone loves a trier and ain't nobody tries harder than our Denise)
06.0 Sam
01.0 Feather Mcarthy (nej nej nej)
Also
08.0 Jennifer
07.0 Deaf Taylor Swift
07.0 Dead Gay Boone (Mr. Jonas was perfect casting, aside from being required to expose his hotness, he just worked for that character perfectly, much fun)
"Dead Gay Boone" I am HOWLING
I finished this the other day, the finale episode was thoroughly entertaining throughout. My favourite part of the whole thing was definitely her speech at Ariana's funeral though.
11 Chanel Oberlin
09 Grace Gardner
08 Hester Ulrich
09 Sadie "Chanel #3" Swenson
10 Cathy Munsch
06 Libby "Chanel #5" Putney
10 Zayday Williams
09 Chad Radwell
06 Wes Gardner (SO hot, but not much of a character)
08 Pete Martinez
07 Gigi Caldwell (sometimes highly annoying, but her ultra crazy moments made her worthwhile)
xx Earl Grey (I actually can't even recall who this is, even after Google imaging)
10 Denise Hemphill
08 Sam (KITTY PUNCHER!)
xx Feather Mcarthy (I can't actually recall who this is either)
-1 Grace Gardner
11 Sadie "Chanel #3" Swenson
11 Cathy Munsch
Watching this at the moment and Chanel #3 gives me so much life.
Very happy to see this has been renewed!
9.0 Chanel Oberlin: Emma Roberts is great at playing terrible people and her hilarious quips sort of made the show.
7.0 Grace Gardner: Likable but bland. Reminded me of Taissa Farmiga's character in AHS Coven.
0.0 Hester Ulrich: Absolutely hated Hester which I believe was their intention. Lea Michele did a great job with this.
9.0 Sadie "Chanel #3" Swenson: I would probably be friends with her in real life.
5.0 Cathy Munsch
9.0 Libby "Chanel #5" Putney: Her outbursts >
7.5 Zayday Williams: Slightly less boring version of Grace.
8.5 Chad Radwell: Probably one of the most entertaining characters I've seen on TV in a while. Really well played.
6.0 Wes Gardner
7.0 Pete Martinez: Male version of Grace and equally boring.
8.0 Gigi Caldwell: I really liked her at the beginning but I was ready for her to go by the time they killed her off.
3.5 Earl Grey
9.0 Denise Hemphill: I've always loved Niecy Nash and Denise was hilarious.
3.0 Sam
1.0 Feather Mcarthy
8.5 Jennifer: I love that she was a nerd with sass.
8.5 Deaf Taylor Swift: Her screaming Taylor Swift songs during the lawnmower scene. I choked.
8.0 Boone Clemens: Glad he had a pretty big role. He did a great job with it.
8.5 Chanel #2: Can't believe she was left off this list! Her death scene was one of the best of the season.
08.5 Chanel Oberlin (basically Emma Roberts playing Emma Roberts with added ridiculousness, much prefer her in this compared to AHS)
07 Grace Gardner (I agree with "likeable but bland". She was likeable enough for you to not want her to die, just not the most intriguing character ever)
07 Hester Ulrich (I agree she got a bit much around the middle of the run)
10 Sadie "Chanel #3" Swenson (definite fave <3 She was so intriguing and hilarious)
09Cathy Munsch
07 Libby "Chanel #5" Putney (got a bit boring)
09 Zayday Williams (really wish she was used more, then she'd be a 10)
09 Chad Radwell
06 Wes Gardner (fairly useless but nice to look at)
06 Pete Martinez
09 Gigi Caldwell
04 Earl Grey (utterly useless and dull)
10 Denise Hemphill ("she wasn't that cute to begin with but that ain't the point" )
07 Sam
04 Feather Mcarthy (see Earl)
Also
09 Jennifer
08 Deaf Taylor Swift
09 Dead Gay Boone
DENISE HEMPHILL WILL COME A RUNNIN' (to season 2, SHE'S BACK) *.*.*.*
YAAAAAAASS *.*
She had so many of the funniest lines last season so it'll be brilliant to see her back <3
During a panel at PaleyFest, it was announced that Abigail Breslin and Billie Lourd will reprise their roles, as will Jamie Lee Curtis, Glen Powell and Keke Palmer. Earlier this month, Niecy Nash also confirmed she will be back as Denise Hemphill, as will Lea Michele.
Co-creator and executive producer Brad Falchuk explained that they were in the early stages of writing, but teased what we can expect from season two, which will be set in a mental hospital.
"Dean Munsch (Curtis) has moved on to great success, she's abolished the Greek system in the country, she's written her book, she's travelled the world, and is like, 'I need a new mission'," Falchuk outlined (via Deadline).
This leads her to purchase a hospital and take on the "cases that no one else will take". Fresh from graduating, Zayday (Palmer) will train under Dean Munsch to be a physician, along with the Chanels (Roberts, Breslin and Lourde) who were last seen being committed into a mental institution.
Meanwhile, serial killer Hester (Michele) will be "intimately involved with" a killer that is somehow connected to Munsch's hospital, which will also lead to Denise Hemphill's return after she has joined the FBI.
Courtesy of Digital Spy.
Well this is certainly a different outcome than what Ryan Murphy made us believe. I'm glad they are bringing back so much of the cast. I really did not want to see any more Hester though.
So everyone but Skyler Samuels confirmed for this or she is and Grace is gonna take a backseat?
