Luckily it's climbing back up on Spotify #32, so hopefully it can keep climbing throughout the week a bit and at least stay top 30! Looks like it won't be peaking higher than 26/27 though

That Cheat Codes song is so generic, even more than 'Stay'

Heatstroke definitely sounds more like a typical Pharrell production than a Calvin Harris one.

Can Young Thug become the next must-have artist on a record, similar to Ty Dolla Sign and PARTYNEXTDOOR? He has some seriously good tunes associated with him. The new Kendrick one is very anthemic too, good prelude for the album.

Yes I like the retro disco vibes but it doesn't sound very dancey. Calvin could have added a faster beat to it to make it more of a dance tune.

It's definitely not a dance tune - but it's listed as dance on the tracks tags... because Calvin Harris is a DJ.

SNT have always been very minimal with artists performing new songs. They usually have to sing a classic, Take That were allowed to sing Giants but they're a much bigger act.

Same here, it was announced on the Voice a winners single will be released, I prefer the original version. Well at least it will get a decent chart placing, I wouldn't be surprised if the X Ambassadors version will make a re-appearance as well.

It feels like that's an excuse so when it flops they can be like "it wasn't actually a single just a song we released!1!!"

They are doing a "winning EP" in the coming weeks and it's being released alongside an ITV documentary that will be like the winner's story ones they used to do for X Factor, so I think that will be the main focus. Idk what their excuse will be when that flops...

That's almost certainly why they decided against calling it a "winner's single". They know it will be called a flop due to the timing and lack of streams. So why set their winner up for failure?

They should have made ALL the songs from the live finals available to DL. It would have primed the Voice viewers to buy.

I can see Mo charting somewhere between 40-50 officially. Streaming and missing nearly 3 whole days of sales will hurt him and I can't see him overtaking the top 2 on iTunes. Think he might get close to 'Galway Girl' but ultimately stall at #3 when peaking later today.

Well tbf, where can this album era go after 'Galway Girl' eventually dies down. Every song has alreaud charted in the Top 20 and a lot of the population will already be familiar with any further potential singles from the album.

I would agree it is likely Ed Sheeran will be on a at least 1 feature down the road to keep interest in him and the album. I would also believe a re-release will occur like it did with X.

All the songs on the album have 100,000 plus under their belts already, so remixed versions are likely to occur when the selected tracks are chosen as official singles.

When her song with Cashmere Cat was first released on Spotify last week, it had her in the artist column as 'MO' so digital fronts are not beyond this sort of slip up I'd question a buyer who'd buy into something like this so naively, but then I do also find it amusing that iTunes gives the peculiar parentheses '(The Voice Final Song)'. Unless they do that every year (and even if they do), it's a curious coincidence!

I feel like Swalla is sort of in a kind of limbo where it's quite safe for the charts (although I guess that's not generic) but it's hardly copying loads of different chart hits.

But yeah it's enjoyable at least, it's the sort of thing I REALLY want to hear out. A bit of a hot mess but an absolute tune.
