According to Jorja Smith's Instagram and Twitter, she is dropping new material next week that features none other than Stormzy! Sounds extremely promising on paper and could be the start of a big year for her.
Pls be a garage banger like the last one
!!!!!! i'm ready
rip ben when he sees this
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm dead without even hearing it!! God is real etc. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I just know this is going to up there with the Jorja trinity of Blue Lights, Teenage Fantasy and On My Mind!!!
Effectively already guaranteed A-List support from Radio 1 too, seeing as Jorja Smith is on the R1 Brit List.
If she's ever going to get a hit, now is her time with the BRITS Critics Choice hype + Stormzy on board!
if this isn't a hit she has no hope :')
Confirmed to be a Zane Lowe Hottest Record later this week! The song is called 'Let Me Down'.
Looking forward to this - I loved “Teenage Fantasy” last year.
I feel like she is just ready to properly blow up so hopefully a Stormzy collab is the thing to do it for her.
This is so boring Expected a lot more, especially with Stormzy featured.
Liking this on first listen, sounds very heartfelt and Stormzy compliments the song well.
This is beautiful! classic Jorja at her best and a great verse from Stormzy!
Quite like this on first listen.
I kind of wanted a garage banger or sth but this is stunning I don't think it's a hit but you can so imagine this as an X Factor save me song
I love this so much. It's just perfect <3
This is stunning very haunting but in a good way . She sounds great and Stormzy was great throughout as well.
After one listen this is absolutely fantastic - haunting and beautiful - radio 1 will surely playlist it so should do well, can see it taking off!
stunning
but not sure, might be too nice for the charts, the kids seem to like things more bold
Wasn’t what I was expecting but it’s really really good wow, not sure if it could be a hit tho, but she really deserves one
I think this will be the type of song that will be performed at an awards ceremony (the BRITs maybe?) and shoot into the Top 10.
The song reminds me a little bit of 'Me, Myself & I'. I like it, but I wouldn't want a whole album of it from her (which I think will be likely).
She's performing on The BRITs nominations show this evening. Don't know if it'll be this song though.
Okay this sounded a lot better during the BRITs Are Coming performance although I can't help but hear "Hometown Glory" from the piano.
LOVE the video fits the song perfectly
The video is number 1 trending on YouTube and it also got playlisted by Radio 1 as well today !
A really strong start for this, given it's not what does well in the charts! So nice to see it sneak top 40 on debut week and hopefully it can reach an even higher peak!
this is stunning!!!
Hadn't heard this until just now & I was expecting an uptempo song along the same vein as Hurtin' Me, Finders Keepers or Decline so you can imagine my disappointment. Overly soppy & extremely boring, even Stormzy can't save it!
AMAZING song. Sad it isn’t doing much!
and it really is! so heartwarming and moody!
luv this one, Jorja definitely has one of the best voices atm.
and even I used to dislike Stormzy, he fits there perfectly so.. no beef bro
I got YOUUUUUUUUUU to let meeeee dowwwwwwnnn
Yeah, I was listening to this on the bus today and it was just so emotional. Her voice is gorgeous
I'm sad this hasn't properly taken off yet but at least it made top 40 I guess?!
This gives me Hometown Glory sort of teas, it feels like such a timeless beauty of a song, her voice is absolutely spellbinding This should have been huge but I guess this kind of thing sells albums not singles.
Still really loving this, although like others have said it’s a shame it hasn’t done one too much commercially (but Top 40 is still amazing)
I reckon her next single will be more along the lines of Finders Keepers, still with a laid back vibe but more upbeat than this was. Even if Let Me You’s success was due to Stormzy, it’s definately given her more fans and hopefully the next solo single can be just as successful in her own right
OH MY *.*
sounds much more in vein of something Jorja would get a hit with but that remix sounds a bit too disjointed for me - it works for Stormzy's part but you can tell Jorja's vocals are made for a much slower downbeat song.
I'm hoping she moves onto her next track sooner rather than later and hopefully that'll be an upbeat song - as much as I love her I think Let Me Down has been a bit of a mis-step, it's surprised me it's made the top 40 actually
